인터넷과 무선 이동통신 기술이 발달함에 따라, 모바일 데이터베이스와 무선 웹 서비스 기술은 중요한 연구 이슈로 부각되어 왔다. 이러한 환경의 변화로 임베디드 시스템과 웹 서비스를 위한 새로운 GIS 데이터베이스 시스템 개발이 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 웹 기반 GIS 시스템에서 사용할 수 있는 자바기반 웹 데이터베이스 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 시스템은 자바기반 응용 프로그램 서버와 이동 컴퓨팅 장치에 쉽게 디스플레이하기 위해 자바 언어를 사용하여 구현하였고, 웹 데이터 호환성 보장을 위해 OGIS를 사용하여 구현되었다. 또한 스키마 관리자를 포함하는 공간 질의 처리기와 공간 객체 저장 모듈을 개발하여 사용자의 웹 상에서의 공간 질의를 효율적으로 처리할 수 있게 하였다.

정보화 시대의 도래로 인해 학교 현장뿐만 아니라 사회의 전 분야에서 인터넷의 사용이 폭발적으로 증가하고 있는 것이 현실이다. 고객 분석이 화두가 되는 온라인 마켓에서는 성인의 성별 요인이 인터넷 사용에 있어 하나의 중요한 요소로 인식되어 시스템 설계와 개발에 큰 영향을 미치는 요인이 되기도 한다. 마찬가지로, 대상자가 인터넷의 환경에 처음 노출되어 그 정도가 심화되어 가는 초등학생을 대상으로 성별, 인종, 문화 등 따라 그 개발과 설계를 근본적으로 달리 해야 하는가 하는 것은 최근의 중요한 이슈의 하나로 생각될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 현장 교사들의 많은 경험상 성별이 큰 영향을 미칠 것이라는 막연한 생각에 분명한 통계적 결과를 제시하여 a) 성인들과 같이 성별에 따라 교육용 시스템의 설계와 개발을 해야 할 필요성이 있는지에 대한 근본적인 의문에 답할 뿐만 아니라 b) 세부적으로 어떠한 요인들이 초등교육용 웹 사이트 개발에 핵심적 요소가 될 것인가를 192명의 설문결과를 바탕으로 분석하여 그 결론과 시사점을 도출하였다.

WebDAV는 IETF 표준으로서 웹상에서 분산 저작을 지원하도록 HTTP를 확장한 프로토콜이다. WebDAV 클라이언트는 WebDAV 프로토콜을 이용하여 WebDAV 서버자원을 관리하는 도구이다. 현재 WebDAV 기반의 자원 관리가 널리 사용되면서 무선 네트워크 환경에서 동작하는 클라이언트의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 무선 네트워크를 지원하는 PDA에서 동작하는 WebDAV 클라이언트의 구현에 대하여 기술한다. 개발된 클라이언트는 간결한 사용자 인터페이스를 제공하며 WebDAV의 기본 메소드를 지원한다. 사용자는 인터페이스와 기본 메소드를 이용하여 WebDAV 서버에 자원을 등록하고, 서버 자원에 대한 열람, 검색, 이동 및 삭제를 할 수 있으며, 서버 자원을 내려 받을 수 있다. 본 클라이언트는 PDA에서 동작하기 위해서 .NET Compact Framework를 기반으로 구현 하였으며 관련 에뮬레이터를 이용하여 실험하였고 이를 실제 PDA장치인 'HP iPAQ hx2700'에 이식하여 검증하였다.

Purpose: This study was to develop Web-based multimedia content for Physical Examination and Health Assesment. Method: The multimedia content was developed based on Jung's teaching and learning structure plan model, using the following 5 processes: 1) Analysis Stage, 2) Planning Stage, 3) Storyboard Framing and Production Stage, 4) Program Operation Stage, and 5) Final Evaluation Stage. Results: The web based multimedia content consisted of an intro movie, main page and sub pages. On the main page, there were 6 menu bars that consisted of Announcement center, Information of professors, Lecture guide, Cyber lecture, Q&A, and Data centers, and a site map which introduced 15 week lectures. In the operation of web based multimedia content, HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and multimedia technology(Audio and Video) were utilized and the content consisted of text content, interactive content, animation, and audio & video. Consultation with the experts in context, computer engineering, and educational technology was utilized in the development of these processes. Conclusions: Web-based multimedia content is expected to offer individualized and tailored learning opportunities to maximize and facilitate the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. Therefore, multimedia content should be utilized concurrently with the lecture in the Physical Examination and Health Assesment classes as a vital teaching aid to make up for the weakness of the face-to- face teaching-learning method.

Web2.0 refers to a new service models based by a community oriented philosophy. This creates new opportunities for technology providers and service. The agricultural technology information service in the base of open source technology provide opportunities for increased distribution and visibility to farmer and general user. We would like to find out vest service models and platform that will find new ways of agriculture technology information service. This study suggests that these new agriculture information service strategy in new paradigm of web 2.0. should be revised and adapted to Open API and new applied strategy in agriculture should be developed considering the impact of web 2.0.

정보화 사회가 고도화될수록 소프트웨어의 개발은 복잡해지고 대규모화되고 있다. 또한 소프트웨어의 라이프사이클 단축으로 개발기간의 단축이 절실하게 요구되고 있는 실정이며 개발된 소프트웨어의 생명주기도 짧아지고 있어 개발 및 유지보수가 더욱 어려워지고 있다. 이에 따라 소프트웨어의 개발에서 미리 구현된 컴포넌트를 사용하여 개발비용과 시간을 단축하려는 노력이 증가하고 있다. 컴포넌트 기술은 현재 매우 빠른 속도로 발전하고 있으며, 기존의 소프트웨어 개발 방법 뿐 아니라 웹 기반 시스템의 개발에도 큰 변화를 가져오고 있다. 본 논문에서는 CBD 기반의 웹 시스템의 개발을 위한 관련 기술을 살펴보고, 특히 중소규모의 웹 시스템 개발에 대한 적용을 위해 기존 컴포넌트 기술들을 비교 분석하여, 문제점을 도출하고 이를 바탕으로 컴포넌트를 기반으로 한 웹 시스템의 개발ㆍ활용의 효율성을 높이기 위한 방안을 제안하였다. 본 연구결과의 활용을 통해 CBD기반의 중소 규모 웹 시스템 구축에서 개발비용을 감소시키고 유지 관리의 부담을 경감시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Among the mainstream of this society has quickly adopted computer technology as part of their daily life, the ever growing group of elderly people, which will increase from 7% of the population in 2000 to being 14% just 18 years later, has been being exposed to computer using environment more than ever before. According to the survey of Korean government in 2005, the number of the elderly using computer has been rising actually, so web-based survey to identify housing needs of the elderly seems to have lots of possibilities as a useful tool for them. This study aims at comparing web-based survey tool with paper-based one, developed to identify the elderly needs on digital home planning. Experimental method and in-depth interview were employed. The participants were divided into 2 groups, web-based and paper-based survey group. Each group was controlled over by age (average 60 years old), gender and computer skill. As a results, web-based survy tool was revealed as effective to clearer understanding and causing more interests and more available, but less easy to handle than paper-based survey one. Through the in-depth interview, web-based survey tool was identified as a more effective method to figure out the needs of the elderly who are familiar with computer.

The exponential growth of information on the web far exceeds the capacity of present day information retrieval systems and search engines, making information integration on the web difficult. In order to overcome this, semantic web technologies were proposed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to achieve a higher degree of automation and precision in information retrieval systems. Semantic web, with its promise to deliver machine understanding to the traditional web, has attracted a significant amount of research from academia as well as from industries. Semantic web is an extension of the current web in which data can be shared and reused across the internet. RDF and ontology are two essential components of the semantic web architecture which support a common framework for data storage and representation of data semantics, respectively. Ontologies being the backbone of semantic web applications, it is more relevant to study various approaches in their application, usage, and integration into web services. In this article, an effort has been made to review the research work being undertaken in the area of design and development of ontology supported information systems. This paper also briefly explains the emerging semantic web technologies and standards.

A web-based platform for structural analysis has been developed. The proposed web-based platform is a 2-tier system composed o( client and server sides to reduce the overburden on the server side. Smart Client is applied for the client side to improve the handling speed and UI. For the server side, MSSQL is applied to deal with database and used as a storage for the web. XML WebService is adpoted for the networking between the client and the server. To examine the efficiency of the developed web-based platform a sample study is carried out with a nonlinear earthquake analysis on a SDOF system.

In this paper, the web-based monitoring system is developed for the effective process monitoring of mold manufacturing using web. In developed system, the cutting force for monitoring the manufacturing condition is measured using hall-sensor that is low cost and useful to be installed in a machine tool indirectly. Specially, the current of main spindle in a machine tool is converted into cutting force by various experiments. For effective web-based monitoring, the program which runs in the local computer of client is made to exchange message between a server and a client by making of ActiveX control and the result of manufacturing is shown on web-browser by Ch language. The developed system in this study is the foundation of establishing E-manufacturing in mold factory.
