  • To keep enterprise's competitiveness on condition of the automatic manufacturing system such as FA, FMS and CIM, all the maintenance problems should be considered seriously in not only production and maintenance but also related Industrial safety. As we analyze in the surveys for the maintenance management of domestic enterprises and the causes of industrial accident, there will be necessity of drawing up countermeasures for prevention of industrial accidents and for ensuring expertise maintenance technologies. Based on these analyses, this study studied the safety information system, maintenance management information system, and the machinery condition diagnosis technique by using of the knowledge-based system under the internet environment. This web based knowledge-based diagnosis system can easily provide not only the knowledge of expert about deterioration phenomenon of industrial robot, but also the knowledge of relating safety and facility on everywhere, everytime. Therefore, when we use this system, it is expected to improve the efficiency of business processes in the production and safety.

Development of a knowledge-based medical expert system to infer supportive treatment suggestions for pediatric patients

  • This paper discusses the design, implementation, and potential use of an ontology-based mobile pediatric consultation and monitoring system, which is a smart healthcare expert system for pediatric patients. The proposed system provides remote consultation and monitoring of pediatric patients during their illness at places distant from medical service areas. The system not only shares instant medical data with a pediatrician but also examines the data as a smart medical assistant to detect any emergency situation. In addition, it uses an inference engine to infer instant suggestions for performing certain initial medical treatment steps when necessary. The applied methodologies and main technical contributions have three aspects: (a) pediatric consultation and monitoring ontology, (b) semantic Web rule knowledge base, and (c) inference engine. Two case studies with real pediatric patients are provided and discussed. The reported results of the applied case studies are promising, and they demonstrate the applicability, effectiveness, and efficiency of the proposed approach.

  • 이 문에서는 교실수업에서 이루어지는 여러 종류의 협동학습모형 중 Jigsaw협동학습 모형을 토대로 협동학습 지원 시스템을 설계, 구현하였다. Jigsaw도형은 학생들이 모둠집단과 전문가집단으로 나누어 전문가 집단에서 학습주제에 대한 전문가가 되어야만 모둠집단의 구성원들에게 설명하고 이해시킬 수 있는 구조를 가지고 있다. Jigsaw모형에 따라 모든 학생들에게 동등한 참여 기회를 부여하고, 책임감 있는 학습자간의 활발한 상호작용이 이루어질 수 있도록 웹 기반 협동학습 지원 시스템을 구성하였다. 웹 기반 시스템을 이용하여 각 모둠집단에서 간은 전문 과제를 맡은 학습자끼리 모여 협동학습을 하면서 그 과제에 대해서는 전문가 수준의 학습할 수 있도록 전문가 학습메뉴를 제공하고, 모둠집단 성원에게 각자 맡은 전문주제에 대하여 학습내용을 제시할 수 있도록 모둠집단 학습메뉴를 제공하여 사이버 공간을 통한 책임감 있고 능동적인 학습의 효과를 기대할 수 있다.

  • In recent years, the concrete cracks in most construction field have been widely presented and developed. Also it is well known the repair cost of the concrete cracks have been rapidly increased in Korea. So the concrete crack expert system was developed to minimize the repair cost and to support the field engineer. The feature of this web based system for diagnosing the causes of concrete cracks is comprised of comfortable user application.

  • 본 논문에서는 효과적인 정보 공유 및 협업을 지원하는 SNS-웹 플랫폼 기반의 영상세미나 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. 제안하는 영상세미나 시스템은 크게 세 가지 특징을 갖는다. 첫째, 구현된 시스템은 자바 웹 스타트를 기반으로 개발되었기 때문에, 사용자는 특정 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어의 설치 없이 웹 기반의 영상세미나에 참여할 수 있다. 둘째, 구현된 시스템은 다양한 운영체제 및 인터넷 웹 브라우저에서 동작이 가능하다. 셋째, 구현된 시스템은 SNS-웹 플랫폼 기반으로 동작하기 때문에, SNS 상에서 연결되어 있는 전문가들 간의 전문지식 공유 및 협업을 지원 가능하다. 마지막으로, 성능분석을 통해 구현된 시스템이 평균 지연 시간 측면에서 효율적임을 보인다.

Mashup Application for Geo-spatial Feature Generation on Web Browser using Google Maps API

  • In these days, various kinds of web applications based on web 2.0 paradigm have been developed. In web 2.0 paradigm pursuing participation, sharing, and openness on the web-as-platform, web mapping or web GIS application are regarded as top most applications, so that web applications, handling geo-spatial contents, with user-interaction interface and search engine of high performance have been provided for both public users and expert users in the special domains. Public and industrial needs for web mapping mashup application by open API, linked with the practical web computing technologies, are gradually increasing. In this study, a user interface in mashup for geo-spatial feature generation was implemented by using mainly Google maps API. Spatial database resources in this implementation are those of Google mapping server. As the results, public users on web client can create their own geo-spatial data sets in web vector formats, without the help of any GIS tools or access to proprietary databases. It is concluded that web-based mashup application in client-side using open API can be used as an alternative for geo-browsing system or portable feature generation system.

  • Recently, with the rapid growth of information technology, many studies have been performed to implement web-based manufacturing system. Such technologies are expected to meet the need of many manufacturing industries those want to adopt E-manufacturing system for the construction of globalization, agility, digitalization to cope with the rapid changing market requirements. In this research, areal-time web-based machine tool and machining process monitoring system is developed as a first step fur implementing I-manufacturing system. In this system, main spindle motor current and feed current are measured using hall sensors. And the relationship between the cutting force and the spindle motor RMS current at various spindle rotational speed is obtained. Also, a rule-based expert system is developed in order to monitor the machining process effectively. Finally, developed system is applied to real machining process to verify the effectiveness.

  • An expert system for the diagnosis and indication of hypertension is implemented through HTML-based backward inference. HTML-based backward inference is performed using the hypertext function of HTML, and many HTML files, which are hyperlinked to each other based on the backward rules, should be prepared beforehand. The development and maintenance of the HTML files are conducted automatically using the decision graph. Still, the drawing and input of the decision graph is a time consuming and tedious job if it is done manually. So, automatic generator of the decision graph for the diagnosis and indication of hypertension was implemented. The HTML-based backward inference ensures accessibility, multimedia facilities, fast response, stability, easiness, and platform independency of the expert system. So, this research reveals that HTML-based inference approach can be used for many Web-based intelligent site with fast and stable performance.

  • 이 논문에서는 WBI(Web-Based Instruction) 시스템의 영역 독립적인 학습자 모듈을 구축하는데 있어 핵심이 되는 요소를 영역 전문가가 쉽게 입력할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 퍼지이론의 언어 변수 개념을 도입한 학습자 응답 진단 공식을 제안한다. 또한 학습자의 인지 상태를 추론하는 규칙을 영역 전문가가 언어변수를 입력하여 구축할 수 있도록 하고 이 규칙을 이용하여 학습자의 인지 상태를 추론할 수 있도록 학습자 모듈을 설계한다.

  • 웹 기술과 컴퓨터 하드웨어 기술이 빠르게 발전함에 따라 편리하고 현실적인 인터페이스는 전송시간과 실행시간보다 중요하다. VRML은 웹에서 가상 현실을 구현하는 적합한 언어지만 일반 사용자에게 사용하기에 너무 어렵다. 또한 VRML이 변경될 때마다 다시 구성해야하는 복잡성이 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문은 웹 기반의 VRML 저작도구로 구현한다. 또한 기존의 VRML과 데이터베이스 시스템을 분석하여 확장된 VRML 지원 시스템을 구현하여 이를 평가한다.
