An Implementation of Device Connection and Layout Recognition Techniques for the Multi-Display Contents Delivery System (멀티 디스플레이 콘텐츠 전송 시스템을 위한 디바이스 연결 및 배치 인식 기법의 구현)

  • According to the advancement of display devices, the multi-screen contents display environment is growing to be accepted for the display exhibition area. The objectives of this research are to find communications technology and to design an editor interface of contents delivery system for the larger and adaptive multi-display workspaces. The proposed system can find existence of display devices and get information without any additional tools like marker, and can recognize device layout with only web-cam and image processing technology. The multi-display contents delivery system is composed of devices with three roles; display device, editor device, and fixed server. The editor device which has the role of main control uses UPnP technology to find existence and receive information of display devices. extract appointed color in captured picture using a tracking library to recognize the physical layout of display devices. After the device information and physical layout of display devices are connected, the content delivery system allows the display contents to be sent to the corresponding display devices through WebSocket technology. Also the experimental results show the possibility of our device connection and layout recognition techniques can be utilized for the large spaced and adaptive multi-display applications.

  • Recently, the W3C has developed the HTML5 standard which gives the basis for providing various web applications on the web environments. Because of the advent of the smart devices and the broadband wireless network, users can accesse the web applications on the smart devices at anytime and anywhere. In addition, the demand on the multiscreen services, which enables users to use the appropriate device to their situation, has increased, since users have various smart devices. In this paper, we propose the grouping mechanism of web objects on the HTML5 based web platform, the extraction mechanism of the web object information which is used to create the web object on other devices, and the web object creation mechanism based on the received web object information. In addition, we propose the web service migration architecture between devices on the open web platform and implement the grouping, extraction and creation mechanism of the web objects on the test web document and generic web document with Chrome extension. Finally, we implement the delivery mechanism of the web object information between devices using the node.js and the WebSocket technologies.

  • The server/client systems using the web protocol and distribution computing environment by network was applied to the MT data processing based on the Java technology. Using this network based system, users can get consistent and stable results because the system has standard analysing methods and has been tested from many users through the internet. Users can check the MT data processing at any time and get results during exploration to reduce the exploration time and money. The pure/enterprised Java technology provides facilities to develop the network based MT data processing system. Web based socket communication and RMI technology are tested respectively to produce the effective and practical client application. Intrinsically, the interpretation of MT data performing the inversion and data process requires heavy computational ability. Therefore we adopt the MPI parallel processing technique to fit the desire of in situ users and expect the effectiveness for the control and upgrade of programing codes.

Spatial Clearinghouse Components for OpenGIS Data Providers

  • Recently, the necessity of accessing spatial data from remote computer via network has been increased as distributed spatial data have been increased due to their size and cost. Many methods have been used in recent years for transferring spatial data, such as socket, CORBA, HTTP, RPC, FTP, etc. In this paper, we propose spatial clearinghouse components to access distributed spatial data sources via CORBA and Internet. The spatial clearinghouse components are defined as OLE/COM components that enable users to access spatial data that meet their requests from remote computer. For reusability, we design the spatial clearinghouse with UML and implement it as a set of components. In order to enhance interoperability among different platforms in distributed computing environment, we adopt international standards and open architecture such as CORBA, HTTB, and OpenGIS Simple Features Specifications. There are two kinds of spatial clearinghouse: CORBA-based spatial clearinghouse and Internet-based spatial clearinghouse. The CORBA-based spatial clearinghouse supports COM-CORBA bridge to access spatial data from remote data providers that satisfy the OpenGIS Simple Features Specification for OLE/COM using COM and CORBA interfaces. The Internet-based spatial clearinghouse provides Web-service components to access spatial data from remote data providers using Web-browser.

  • The personal image information compiled through closed-circuit television (CCTV) will be open to the internet with the technology such as Long-Tail, Mash-Up, Collective Intelligence, Tagging, Open Application Programming Interface (Open-API), Syndication, Podcasting and Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX). The movie User Created Contents (UCC) connected to the internet with the skill of web 2.0 has the effects of abuse and threat without precedent. The purpose of this research is to develop the institutional and technological method to reduce these effects. As a result of this research, in terms of technology this paper suggests Privacy Zone Masking, IP Filtering, Intrusion-detection System (IDS), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), public key infrastructure (PKI), Hash and PDF Socket. While in terms of management this paper suggests Privacy Commons and Privacy Zone. Based on CCTV-UCC linked to the above network, the research regarding personal image information security is expected to aid in realizing insight and practical personal image information as a specific device in the following research.

  • The HTTP does not support continuity for browser-server interaction between successive visits or a user due to a stateless feature. Cookies were invented to maintain continuity and state on the Web. Because cookies are transmitted in plain and contain text-character strings encoding relevant information about the user, the attacker can easily copy and modify them for his undue profit. In this paper, we design a secure cookies scheme based on X.509 public key certificate for solving these security weakness of typical web cookies. Our secure cookies scheme provides not only mutual authentication between client and server but also confidentiality and integrity of user information. Additionally, we implement our secure cookies scheme and compare it to the performance with SSL(Secure Socket Layer) protocol that is widely used for security of HTTP environment.

  • 최근 스마트폰, 스마트 태블릿 등의 모바일 단말이 급속도로 보급됨에 따라 모바일-클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경이 대중화 되는 추세다. 이에 따라, REST 웹 서비스 Open API의 활용 역시 점차 확대되는 추세이다. REST 웹서비스 Open API는 서버에서 제공하는 기능을 스마트폰 애플리케이션에 추가함으로써 기능을 확장하기 위해 사용하는 경우가 대부분이다. 그러나, 본 논문에서는 웹 서비스 Open API의 사용목적을 일반적인 모바일-클라우드(스마트폰-서버, 클라이언트-서버) 환경으로 확대하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 파이(pi)값 계산을 병렬적으로 처리하는 알고리즘을 활용하여 다수의 클라우드 컴퓨팅 노드에서 병렬수행을 테스트한다. 이 때, 소켓을 이용한 통신방법과 REST 웹서비스 Open API에 의한 통신방법을 적용한 경우의 성능을 비교한다. 결과적으로 REST 웹서비스 기반의 Open API 방식을 적용하는 것이 여러측면에서 유리함을 성능분석을 통해 보인다.

  • 클라이언트용 메일 프로그램에 비해 웹 메일 시스템은 일반 사용자에게 인터페이스와 기능적인 면에서 편리함을 제공한다. 그러나 메일 메시지를 전송하고 관리하는 측면에서는 보안상의 취약점을 갖고 있다. 본 논문에서는 메일 메시지를 안전하게 전송하고 편리하게 관리하기 위한 웹 기반의 메일 시스템을 구현하였다. 이 시스템에서는 일반적인 메일 기능과 PGP(Pretty Good Privacy)를 이용한 메시지 암호화 기능, SSL(Secure Socket Layer) protocol을 이용하여 웹 메일 시스템과 웹 브라우저 사이의 메시지 보호 기능 등을 이용하여 클라이언트용 메일 프로그램을 이용하기 위한 설정이 필요 없이 웹 브라우저만을 가지고 안전한 메시지 전송과 관리를 할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • 본 논문은 P2P 네트워크 구조에 기반한 보안 모텔 구청에 관한 것을 논하고 있다. 현재 많이 사용되고 있는 P2P 프로토콜중에는 중계서버가 있어 각각의 peer가 데이터를 공유하고, 검색할 수 있게 하는 방법과 중계서버가 존재하지 않고 peer간의 통신만으로 구성되어지는 방식이 있다. 본 논문에서는 두 가지 방식의 장점을 이용해서 서버를 통하여 다른 peer의 정보를 얻어 올 수도 있으나 그렇지 못한 경우에도 캐쉬된 기존 정보에서의 자체 검색과 다른 peer와의 통신을 통해서 P2P 동작이 가능하도록 네트워크을 구성하였다. 이러한 P2P 네트워크 구조에서 취약할 수 있는 보안환경을 SSL(Secure Socket Layer)을 이용하며 웹 (web)을 통해 서버와 통신하는 단계와 peer 간에 정보 교환을 위한 통신에 적용하였으며, 그룹키(group key)를 이용하여 보안 멀티캐스트 환경을 구현하였다.

  • 스마트폰 및 태블릿 PC 보급의 빠른 확산으로 인해 e-learning 학습환경도 빠른 속도로 모바일 환경으로 전환되고 있다. 이러한 변화에 맞추어 e-learning 서비스업체들도 모바일 서비스를 앞다투어 제공하고 있으며 앞으로도 그 수는 계속 늘어날 것으로 예측된다. 하지만 아직까지는 PC에서 보던 학습 동영상을 단지 모바일 환경에 보는 수준이며 수강생이 온라인 강의를 시청하다 강사에게 실시간으로 질문을 하고 답변을 받는 등의 의사소통은 어렵다. 이러한 단점을 극복하고 강사와 수강생이 웹 환경에서 원활한 의사소통이 가능하며, 많은 수의 수강생이 동시에 접속할 수 있는 HTML5의 WebSocket과 Canvas를 기반으로 한 실시간 문제풀이 시스템을 제안하고자 한다.
