The combination of data warehousing and Internet technology produces a new concept - web warehousing. Due to the availability of web technologies and the need to make prompt decisions with timely information, web warehousing is emerging as a key strategic business weapon. Yet despite the many promising benefits of web warehousing, researchers have also identified several challenges, including scalability and availability. With the rise of the Internet and data centric computing applications, the use of new Storage Area Network (SAN) technology has been spotlighted for the possibility of a new data repository for web warehousing. In this article, the two new concepts of web warehousing and storage area networks are introduced. In particular, a SAN is discussed in detail as an alternative data repository to overcome the current limitations of web warehousing.

Providing a secure 3-tier Web application has become a high priority for companies as e-businesses have increased the amount and the sensitivity of corporate information that can be accessed through the web. Web applications become more difficult to secure with this very increase in online traffic and transactions. This paper first reviews the 3-tier of web application, types of attacks that can threaten web application services and security principles. We then are designing and implementing a secure web application with open source software that able to mitigate the web application vulnerable to attack.

Recently, many data of various types is gained with development of computer in many fields. Especially, web log data generating in web site furnish beneficial information on an organization. The enterprise's destiny is swayed by according as how these information gaining from the web site utilize. In this paper, for the purpose of obtaining useful information, we present a tool is called WebBizi for web log analysis. This will be helpful to enterprise working the web site.

The popularity of web services within the IT industry continues to grow as the next generation web technologies. Web services are self·contained, self-describing, modular applications that can be published, located, and invoked across the Web. Web services will be core technology for e-business in the Web. IPv6 is sometimes also called the Next Generation Internet Protocol and is a new version of IP which is designed to be an evolutionary step from IPv4. In this paper, we define problems for adapting web services to IPv6 Environment. This paper survey and explain consideration issues that include standards, components, coexistence of IPv6 and IPv4, etc.

Web is a part of our daily life and now it is ready to become a new Web called Semantic Web. The Semantic Web does not require entire human process for collecting and processing the information on the Web. Automation of efficient information retrieval, new knowledge generation, exact web service providing and so on are become possible through the Semantic Web. In this paper, the main idea of the Semantic Web and its application areas are discussed.

The systematic testing is frequently regretted in recent web applications because of time and cost pressure. Moreover developers have difficulties with applying the traditional testing techniques to testing web application. The approach of creating test cases for a web application from a sequence model is proposed for the rapid and efficient testing. Test cases for web application are extracted from call messages (including self-call messages) of UML (Unified Modeling Language) sequence diagram. A test case consists of messages, script functions, or server pages and additional values. Moreover a simple testing tool for web application is proposed. A URL for testing web application is created and executed by this testing tool. The URL consists of server page address and additional values. This test tool is made using Microsoft Visual Basic. The efficiency of proposed method and tool has been shown using a practical case study which reflects the development project of the web application for supporting member management.

Recently the market of smart phone applications grows very fast. And users want more various and rich experiments using enhanced smart phone functions. But the development of smart phone applications is not an easy job. Specially to control smart phone sensors can be realized by using each native programming languages in experts level. Moreover the process needs separate development based on each smart phone OS. Development of the Web-based smart phone application using Web Common APIs, known as 'WebApp', is one of solutions to overcome these problems. The method includes interface constructions with HTML, and Web Common API calls and accesses to smart phone device APIs with Java scripts. In this paper, the experience in development of the smart phone e-book application is introduced, which is implemented with comport and OS independent WebApp development method.
