The study was done with the hypothesis that internet users' evaluation of hotel web sites would be differed depending on the class, location, size, ownership, and guest type of hotels. The study found that location, guest type are loosing their strategical importances in the internet marketing. However, class, size, and ownership are still favorable marketing tools with the internet. The study also found that the location gap between metropolitan and local hotels is decreasing, and the chance of attracting potential customers will be evenly offered to the two type of hotels in the internet oriented business environment.

Of critical importance to the success of any e-commerce site are the two factors: rapid application development and quick response time. A three-tier architecture composed of presentation layer, business layer, and data access layer emerges to allow rapid changes in user interface, business logic, and database structures. Too often, such a logical three-tier architecture is considered as requiring a three-tier physical architecture: Web server, application server, and database server running on separate computers. Contrary to the common belief, a Web stress test reveals that the three-tier logical architecture implemented on a two-tier physical platform guarantees a quicker response time due to the reduction in cross-machine communications. This would lead business firms to economize their spending on e-commerce: increasing the number of physical servers to expedite transaction is not necessarily the best solution. Before selecting a particular hardware configuration, a Web stress test needs to be conducted to compare the relative merits of alternative physical architectures. Together with capacity planning, Web stress test emerges as a powerful tool to build robust, yet economical e-commerce sites.

Due to the development of Internet and networking technologies, it is much more easier to get in touch with public service through the web services such as tax, travel information, getting a job, etc. In order to measure the quality of official government web sites, we are to test the difference between the web quality of the government sites and the offline feature of the same official service by means of customer perspectives. The resulting of this study show that the quality of official web site has been improved so far though such areas as privacy, security needed to be updated. Especially the web interface or contact point of the digital media should be reflected customer's need so that the online materials may be quickly updated according to the request of client's.

Importance of Web accessability for handicapped persons is ever increasing in the information society with increasing role of the Web. The Web accessibility of handicapped person related Web sites were compared with the school Web sites in order to figure out the realities of handicapped person related Web site's accessibilities. According to the experiment, the Web accessibility of handicapped person related Web sites got lower scores than general school Web sites. The research result shows that more improvement efforts for the Web accessibility of handicapped person related Web sites are required.

Although the site evaluation factors that affect the navigation pattern are well documented, the attempt to explore the difference in the relationship between navigation pattern and site evaluation factors by post hoc segmentation approach has been relatively rare. For this purpose, this study constructs the structure equation model using web-evaluation data and log file of a community site with 300,000 members. And then it applies the structure equation model to each segment. Each segment is identified by mixture model. Mixture model is to unmix the sample, to identify the segments, and to estimate the parameters of the density function underlying the observed data within each segment. The study examines the opportunity to increase GFI, using mixture model which supposes heterogeneous groups in the users, not through specification search by modification index from structure equation model. This study finds out that AGFI increases from 0.819 at total sample to 0.927, 0.930, 0.928, 0.929 for each 4 segments in the case of the community site. The results confirm that segment level approach is more effective than model modification when model is robust in terms of theoretical background. Furthermore, we can identify a heterogeneous navigation pattern and site evaluation variation in the community website at segment level.

The objective of this research is to evaluate the web standard as well as web compatibility of English homepage of tourist information manage local government. Thru this research, effective information and service can be provided to increasing foreign visitors and compatibility of English homepage can be strengthened. SortSite, a web compatibility measurement tool and UNICORN, a web standard measurement tool were utilized for this research. Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Opera were targeted for evaluating web compatibility and observance rate of Markup grammar and CSS grammar was checked for evaluating web standard. Research result showed that 46.7% of Chrome version ${\leq}34$ and 35 didn't observe the web compatibility while 95.6%, 53.3%, 53.3%, 53.3% and 55.6% of Internet Explorer version in order of 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, 10.0 and 11.0 didn't observe the web compatibility. Concerning Firefox, 75.6% and 48.9% of version in order of ${\leq}6.0$ and 7.0 didn't observe the web compatibility and 37.8% of Opera version ${\leq}12.17$ and ${\leq}21$ didn't observe the web compatibility. Regarding the web standard, 80% of English homepage didn't observe Markup grammar and 60% of them didn't observe CSS grammar. Therefore, urgent improvement of web compatibility and web standard is required.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of direction of comments about online reviews and the credibility of web sites on brand attitudes toward restaurants. Also, the study compared two study results using Korean and Chinese on-line users to assess the feasibility of the application of on-line marketing developed in Korea to Chinese internet user contexts. The results show that the credibility of web sites and the direction of comments influence the brand attitude as hypothesized. Overall, the results from two country consumer groups are similar. However, there are unique results including the significant interaction effects between the direction of comments and the credibility of web sites only for Chinese on-line users on the brand evaluation tasks and for Korean on-line users on the purchase intention. The cultural value might cause these different results across the nations.

The purpose of this study is to review information services in public libraries based on web sites. Four evaluation criteria. interface. searching, contents and communication are usually used to measure web sites. Because interface and searching are contained hardware elements, these are not included to this review. For this study contents and communication are examined into operating at public libraries web sites. Also analyzed is gateway function providing community information services and researchers information.

현대에 많은 사람들이 인터넷을 활용하게 됨으로써 웹으로 학습하는 수가 늘어나고 있다. 따라서 웹을 이용한 원격강의 학습방법이 늘어나고 있다. 이미 영어와 같은 외국어 학습의 경우는 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 웹을 이용한 한자학습을 Edutainment식 방법을 활용하여 학습을 하는데 있어서 즐겁게 한자학습을 할 수 있도록 함으로써 보다 효과적인 학습이 될 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 또한 이러한 방법이 실제 효과가 있는지에 대해 이미 한자를 많이 사용하고 있는 일본의 한 site와 우리나라에서 실행되고 있는 한자학습 site에 있는 한자학습 방법을 설문하여 비교ㆍ평가 하였다.

A website should be developed by considering web accessibility for being possible to access the Internet without any difficulties through the Web. In order to do this, after evaluating web accessibility with targeted 15 web sites based on KWCAG 1.0 which is a guideline of Korean type web contents accessibility and WCAG 2.0 which is a guideline of W3C's web serviceability by using KADO-WAH 2.0, this paper suggests improvements of web accessibility after deriving problems of web accessibility according to a web site type.
