New Mathematical Model for Travel Route Recommendation Service (여행경로 추천 서비스를 위한 최적화 수리모형)

  • With the increased interest in the quality of life of modern people, the implementation of the five-day working week, the increase in traffic convenience, and the economic and social development, domestic and international travel is becoming commonplace. Furthermore, in the past, there were many cases of purchasing packaged goods of specialized travel agencies. However, as the development of the Internet improved the accessibility of information about the travel area, the tourist is changing the trend to plan the trip such as the choice of the destination. Web services have been introduced to recommend travel destinations and travel routes according to these needs of the customers. Therefore, after reviewing some of the most popular web services today, such as Stubby planner (http://www.stubbyplanner.com) and Earthtory (http://www.earthtory.com), they were supposed to be based on traditional Traveling Salesman Problems (TSPs), and the travel routes recommended by them included some practical limitations. That is, they were not considered important issues in the actual journey, such as the use of various transportation, travel expenses, the number of days, and lodging. Moreover, although to recommend travel destinations, there have been various studies such as using IoT (Internet of Things) technology and the analysis of cyberspatial Big Data on the web and SNS (Social Networking Service), there is little research to support travel routes considering the practical constraints. Therefore, this study proposes a new mathematical model for applying to travel route recommendation service, and it is verified by numerical experiments on travel to Jeju Island and trip to Europe including Germany, France and Czech Republic. It also expects to be able to provide more useful information to tourists in their travel plans through linkage with the services for recommending tourist attractions built in the Internet environment.

A Movie Recommendation Method based on Emotion Ontology (감정 온톨로지 기반의 영화 추천 기법)

  • Due to the rapid advancement of the mobile technology, smart phones have been widely used in the current society. This lead to an easier way to retrieve video contents using web and mobile services. However, it is not a trivial problem to retrieve particular video contents based on users' specific preferences. The current movie recommendation system is based on the users' preference information. However, this system does not consider any emotional means or perspectives in each movie, which results in the dissatisfaction of user's emotional requirements. In order to address users' preferences and emotional requirements, this research proposes a movie recommendation technology to represent a movie's emotion and its associations. The proposed approach contains the development of emotion ontology by representing the relationship between the emotion and the concepts which cause emotional effects. Based on the current movie metadata ontology, this research also developed movie-emotion ontology based on the representation of the metadata related to the emotion. The proposed movie recommendation method recommends the movie by using movie-emotion ontology based on the emotion knowledge. Using this proposed approach, the user will be able to get the list of movies based on their preferences and emotional requirements.

A product recommendation system based on adjacency data (인접성 데이터를 이용한 추천시스템)

  • Recommendation systems are developed to overcome the problems of selection and to promote intention to use. In this study, we propose a recommendation system using adjacency data according to user's behavior over time. For this, the product adjacencies are identified from the adjacency matrix based on graph theory. This research finds that there is a trend in the users' behavior over time though product adjacency fluctuates over time. The system is tested on its usability. The tests show that implementing this recommendation system increases users' intention to purchase and reduces the search time.

Modeling of Convolutional Neural Network-based Recommendation System

  • Collaborative filtering is one of the commonly used methods in the web recommendation system. Numerous researches on the collaborative filtering proposed the numbers of measures for enhancing the accuracy. This study suggests the movie recommendation system applied with Word2Vec and ensemble convolutional neural networks. First, user sentences and movie sentences are made from the user, movie, and rating information. Then, the user sentences and movie sentences are input into Word2Vec to figure out the user vector and movie vector. The user vector is input on the user convolutional model while the movie vector is input on the movie convolutional model. These user and movie convolutional models are connected to the fully-connected neural network model. Ultimately, the output layer of the fully-connected neural network model outputs the forecasts for user, movie, and rating. The test result showed that the system proposed in this study showed higher accuracy than the conventional cooperative filtering system and Word2Vec and deep neural network-based system suggested in the similar researches. The Word2Vec and deep neural network-based recommendation system is expected to help in enhancing the satisfaction while considering about the characteristics of users.

  • In Webspace, mining traversal patterns is to understand user's path traversal patterns. On this mining, it has a unique characteristic which objects (for example, URLs) may be visited due to their positions rather than contents, because users move to other objects according to providing information services. As a consequence, it becomes very complex to extract meaningful information from these data. Recently discovering traversal patterns has been an important problem in data mining because there has been an increasing amount of research activity on various aspects of improving the quality of information services. This paper presents a Dynamic Link Recommendation (DLR) algorithm that recommends link sets on a Web site through mining frequent traversal patterns. It can be employed to any Web site with massive amounts of data. Our experimentation with two real Weblog data clearly validate that our method outperforms traditional method.

An Ontological and Rule-based Reasoning for Music Recommendation using Musical Moods (음악 무드를 이용한 온톨로지 기반 음악 추천)

  • In this paper, we propose Context-based Music Recommendation (COMUS) ontology for modeling user's musical preferences and context and for supporting reasoning about the user's desired emotion and preferences. The COMUS provides an upper Music Ontology that captures concepts about the general properties of music such as title, artists and genre and also provides extensibility for adding domain-specific ontologies, such as Mood and Situation, in a hierarchical manner. The COMUS is music dedicated ontology in OWL constructed by incorporating domain specific classes for music recommendation into the Music Ontology. Using this context ontology, we believe that the use of logical reasoning by checking the consistency of context information, and reasoning over the high-level, implicit context from the low-level, explicit information. As a novelty, our ontology can express detailed and complicated relations among the music, moods and situations, enabling users to find appropriate music for the application. We present some of the experiments we performed as a case-study for music recommendation.

  • The web 2.0 concept rapidly spreads to the various field which is based on an opening, the participation, and a share. And the research about the recommendation system, that is the personalize feature, and social network is very active. In the case of the recommendation system and social network, it had been developing in the respectively different area and the new research toward the service model of a form that it fuses these is insignificant. In this paper, I'm going to introduce efficient social network which is called the researcher connection network. It is possible to recommend the researcher intellectually who studies the similar field by analyzing the usage log and user profile. Through this study, we could solved the network expandability problem which is due to the user passive participation and the difficulty of the initial network construction that is the conventional social network problem.

A Study on Intelligent Emotional Recommendation System Using Biological Information (생체정보를 이용한 지능형 감성 추천시스템에 관한 연구)

  • As the importance of human-computer interaction (Human Computer Interface) technology grows and research on HCI is progressing, it is inferred about the research emotion inference or the computer reaction according to the user's intention, not the computer reaction by the standard input of the user. Stress is an unavoidable result of modern human civilization, and it is a complex phenomenon, and depending on whether or not there is control, human activity ability can be seriously changed. In this paper, we propose an intelligent emotional recommendation system using music as a way to relieve stress after measuring heart rate variability (HRV) and acceleration photoplethymogram (APG) increased through stress as part of human-computer interaction. The differential evolution algorithm was used to extract reliable data by acquiring and recognizing the user's biometric information, that is, the stress index, and emotional inference was made through the semantic web based on the obtained stress index step by step. In addition, by searching and recommending a music list that matches the stress index and changes in emotion, an emotional recommendation system suitable for the user's biometric information was implemented as an application.

  • Considering international trends and foreign cases, it can be easily expected that web accessibility issue is becoming more and more important. While information technology has changed Korean society rapidly and widely, there are many People who have difficulties in using information services such as the elderly and persons with disabilities. One of the big barriers they face is the lack of accessibility of web services. These social problems have been rarely studied in Korea but surface as very import subjects to be addressed concerning IT and welfare policy. The objective of this study is to ensure web accessibility right for visually handicapped and reduce digital divide through development of a recommendation guideline of mobile internet user interface. In this study the trends of politics and laws related to web accessibility in developed countries are surveyed and some advisable recommendation guidelines of mobile internet user interface for visually handicapped to improve web accessibility are proposed.

  • The need for personalized web site design has been increased these days. Current approach for personalized web site design is easily applied to web site with their cost-effective feature, but is hard to provide a more refined personalized service due to its lack of accumulation of user data. In this study, the design recommender system is investigated as a more advanced method for web site design personalization. We provide an overview of current recommender systems, and then outlined a newly developed design recommender system, which employs collaborative filtering technique to provide tailored recommendation for users.
