This exploratory study aims to understand the potential of log data analysis and expand its utilization in user research methods. Transaction log data are records of electronic interactions that have occurred between users and web services, reflecting information-seeking behavior in the context of digital libraries where users interact with the service system during the search for information. Two ways were used to analyze South Korea's National Digital Science Library (NDSL) log data for three days, including 150,000 data: a log pattern analysis, and log context analysis using statistics. First, a pattern-based analysis examined the general paths of usage by logged and unlogged users. The correlation between paths was analyzed through a χ² analysis. The subsequent log context analysis assessed 30 identified users' data using basic statistics and visualized the individual user information-seeking behavior while accessing NDSL. The visualization shows included 30 diverse paths for 30 cases. Log analysis provided insight into general and individual user information-seeking behavior. The results of log analysis can enhance the understanding of user actions. Therefore, it can be utilized as the basic data to improve the design of services and systems in the digital library to meet users' needs.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the nursing student's e-Learning status. Method: The 48 nursing students were subject to this study. They were introduced to use 'understanding of ABGA' site. And the web log data was analysed. Result: General learning status in nursing education, difference of learning status in each learning type, and 'quiz' area learning status were analysed to see the nursing student's e-Learning status. The result of study showed that the participants didn't get learning that site designer had in mind to give them. Conclusion: It is important to figure out students' actual learning behaviors and reactions of feedbacks. Also, web log data could provide useful data that affect student's behaviors. Based on this study result, the following is suggested. The way to give them effective learning should be considered by the instructor who knows the unsincere type students through web log data.

고객관리에 중요한 정보로 활용되는 웹로그 분석과 의사결정을 지원하기 위한 데이터웨어하우스를 결합하여 데이터웹하우스가 등장하였다. 그러나 시스템에 분산되어 저장된 정보를 통합하는 데이터웹하우스는 다양하고 이질적인 정보를 포함하므로 관리적 측면에서 복잡한 작업을 필요로 한다. 본 연구는 데이터웹하우스 환경에서 데이터를 효과적으로 관리하고 통합하기 위한 메타데이터 스키마를 제안한다. 제안된 스키마는 데이터웹하우스 개발을 지원하고 기업의 정보 자산에 대한 통합 관리를 가능케 한다. 또한 데이터웹하우스의 웹로그 추출을 위한 ETL 메타데이터를 사용하여 웹로그 데이터 처리시간을 향상시킬 수 있다.

인터넷의 활용으로 기업활동의 많은 영역이 온라인을 통해 이루어지고 있다. 온라인 쇼핑몰에서는 고객이 웹사이트 방문 후에 어떤 활동을 하는지를 파악하고 이를 경영활동의 성과로 연계하기 위해 웹 로그를 분석하고 있다. 온라인 뉴스 사이트에서도 방문자의 활동을 파악하고 어떤 기사에 관심이 많은지, 어떤 분야의 기사를 많이 보는지 등을 파악하여 독자에게 서비스하는 것이 필요하다. 그러나 언론사의 웹사이트 로그를 분석하는 연구는 충분히 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 온라인 뉴스 웹사이트에서 수집된 로그를 이용하여 방문자의 웹사이트 내에서의 활동을 파악하고 뉴스 기사간 연관규칙을 도출한다. 연구는 크게 방문자의 세션(session)을 파악하는 첫 번째 단계와 방문자가 읽은 뉴스 기사간의 연관규칙을 살펴보는 두 번째 단계로 이루어져 있으며 두 차례에 걸쳐 수집된 웹사이트 로그를 이용하여 분석하였다. 최종적으로 도출된 규칙의 의미와 온라인 뉴스 사이트에서 고려해야 하는 함의를 제시하였다.

This paper empirically analyzed consumer price search behavior using Web log data of a Korean web site for price comparison. Consumer click-stream data of the site was used to test the effects of price level, product category, third party certification, reputation of retailers on click behavior. According to the descriptive statistics, 67.4% of shopbot users clicked the offer which was the lowest price returned in a search. We found that third party certification and reputation of retailers were significant determinants of clicking the lowest priced offer from legit analysis. We also applied Tobit regression analysis to estimate the price premium of the two determinants, but only reputation of retailers was found to have price premium of 4.9%.

현재 웹 환경은 정보 공유와 비즈니스 수행을 위해 보편적으로 사용되고 있는 영역으로 개인 정보 유출이나 시스템 장애 등을 목표로 하는 외부 해킹의 공격 타켓이 되고 있다. 기존의 사이버 공격 탐지 기술은 일반적으로 시그니처 기반 분석으로 공격 패턴의 변경이 발생할 경우 탐지가 어렵다는 한계가 있다. 특히 웹 취약점 기반 공격 중 삽입 공격은 가장 빈번히 발생하는 공격이고 다양한 변형 공격이 언제든 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 웹서버 로그에서 정상상태를 벗어나는 비정상 상태를 탐지하는 이상상태 탐지 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 웹서버 로그 내 문자열 항목을 머신러닝 기반 임베딩 기법으로 벡터로 치환한 후 다수의 정상 데이터와 상이한 경향성을 보이는 비정상 데이터를 탐지하는 머신러닝 기반 이상상태 탐지 기법이다.

웹 서비스는 개방형 서비스로 정보 공유가 주요 목적이다. 하지만 상대적으로 웹 서비스에 대한 공격 및 해킹 사고 또한 급증하고 있다. 현재 웹 해킹 등의 공격을 탐지하기 위해서는 웹 로그의 분석을 통해 우선적으로 수행 가능하며 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있다. 실제 웹 로그 분석을 통해 웹 서비스의 취약점을 분석하고 보완하는 사례가 늘어나고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대용량의 웹 로그 정보에 대해 SOM 알고리즘을 적용하여 웹 DoS 공격 등과 같은 웹 서비스에서의 이상 탐지를 수행하였다. 구체적으로 대용량 웹 로그 정보에 대해 SOM 기반으로 BMU(Best Matching Unit)의 발생 빈도를 조사해 발생 빈도가 가장 높은 유닛을 이상(Abnormal) 유닛으로 판단하여 입력된 웹 로그 데이터에 대한 DoS 공격 탐지 성능을 향상시킬 수 있었다.

In this paper, we propose a poll system on the interned. This poll system makes use of APM which are useful in web and PC using for a server. These tools are all free to obtain, so we can construct this system with the minimum computing environment and the minimum cost. We mention merits and demerits about interned survey and propose how to overcome using this system, and utilize web log data to get an additional information of panel. Finally, we suggest extensibilities of internet survey and the proposed system

Many researchers have proposed the various methods to detect illegal intrusion in order to improve internet environment. Among these researches, IDS(Intrusion Detection System) is classified the most common model to protect network security. In this paper, we propose new log format instead of Apache log format for SSL integrity verification. We translate file-DB log format into R-DB log format. Using these methods we can manage Web server's integrity, and log data is transmitted verification system to be able to perform both primary function of IDS and Web server's integrity management at the same time. The proposed system in this paper is also able to use for wire and wireless environment based on PDA.

In this paper, a methodolgy for customizing web pages for indivisual users is suggested. It shows an efficient way to personalize web pages by predicting one's site access pattern. In addition, the prediction can reflect one's tendency after actual purchase. By using the APRIORI algorithm, one of the association rule search methods, the associativity among the purchase items can be inferred. This inferrence is based on the log data in a web server and database about purchase. Finally, a web page which contains the relationship, relative links on other web pages, and inferred items can be generated after this process.
