Analysis of Perception on the Web Accessibility Education for Information Teachers of Vocational High Schools (국내 전문계 고등학교 정보교사의 웹 접근성 교육에 대한 인식 분석)

  • The importance of web accessibility becomes important due to a legal obligation to comply with web accessibility. However, there are few educational programs developed on web accessibility for vocational high schools in Korea. In this study, to explore the future possibilities of web accessibility curriculum the survey with information teachers of 97 vocational high schools was conducted along with review of the curriculums of the domestic and foreign web accessibility educational programs. The survey results indicate that (1) the information teachers have only basic conceptual understandings on web accessibility and (2) they have little intention on teaching web accessibility at their vocational high schools due to current educational conditions and the lack of web accessibility knowledge. The results of this study could be employed as references for the web and web accessibility educational courses at the vocational high schools.

  • During the fourth industrial revolution, the amount of data available to users has surged. And it became a stepping stone for various convergence technologies such as ECMA script, WebAssembly, and web of things using web technology. Also, as the amount of data shared on the web increases, the web has emerged as the most influential media in modern life. As a result, web developers have tried to deliver data quickly over the Web. So, various web application analysis tools appeared, and developers tried to find a solution to solve the speed problem by analyzing the web application. However, the performance of web application analysis tools has not improved significantly. Most existing analytical tools require direct installation, require expertise on the Web to perform analysis, and do not have function to analysis new technologies such as WebAssembly. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the design of a new reporting solution that can solve problems of existing web application analysis tool.

  • Recently, information technology are rapidly diffused throughout the world. A new paradigm, 'telework' and 'distant education' is a product of the tremendous technological changes driving the disabled vocational rehabilitation. In the computer and information communication technology areas related with web-based telework?distant education, the disabled expect vocational rehabilitation. Therefore nowadays, the disabled effort to adapt to the new information era by web-based telework and distant education. This study attempts to suggest developmental framework of web-based telework?distant education center to vitalize the disabled vocational rehabilitation.

Development and Evaluation of a Web-based Education Program for Nursing Students on Control of Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus Infection (간호학생을 위한 웹기반 VRE 감염관리 교육프로그램의 개발 및 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a web-based education program on control vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) infections and to identify the effects of the program on knowledge and performance of nursing students. Methods: The web-based VRE infection control education program was developed by using the network-based instructional systems design model. The nursing students in the experimental group could access this web-based education program at any time, and as many times as they wanted, during the clinical training period. Effects were evaluated by assessing knowledge and performance of VRE infection control measures during the clinical training period. Results: The contents of the education program included diagnosis, transmission, and treatment of VRE, contact precautions, hand washing, personal protective equipment, environment management, and quizzes. The lecture portion was filmed in a virtual screen studio using flash animation, video, and sound effects, and it was uploaded on an internet site. The knowledge and performance scores of the experimental group after using the education program were significantly higher than those of the control group. Conclusion: The results suggest that the web-based VRE infection control education program is an effective educational method to enhance knowledge and performance of VRE infection control measures.

  • This paper has been studied Design and Implementation Using the ICT(Information & Communication Technology) Education System on the Web. And then this paper has designed a teaching and learning model for Using the ICT Education System on the Web of management substance in commercial high school, verified and implemented them. After this study, this web-based multimedia data with voice instruction and humanity education data in student's module to develop the local natural environments is more helpful to occur the students' motivations and interests and get higher achievements of study than teach only with the textbook.

  • Web-based instruction is being developed as a new study model getting out of the traditional standardized education method. It is a new education tool which promotes learner-centered and cooperative study. Flash, as one of the most powerful web authoring tool can maximize the effectiveness of learning using computer graphic, animation, sounds and video. In this paper, we will look at developing and distributing education materials using flash and the efficient web-based instructions.

  • 기존의 인터넷 검색 편리성을 제공하는 브라우저들은 사용자의 요구에 따라 수동적으로 움직이게 된다. 또한 RSS 와 같은 고급 검색 요구 조건을 만족시키고자 하는 노력에 비하여 사용자의 요구에 따라 능동적으로 움직이기에는 어려움이 존재한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 RSS와 같은 능동적인 정보 검색 및 제공이 가능하고, 표준 HTML2.0을 따르는 효과적인 웹 브라우저인 EasyWeb을 설계 및 구현하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 EasyWeb 브라우저는 기존의 브라우저들과 달리 표준 규격에 따라 구성하도록 HTML과 XML parsing이 가능하다. 또한 사용자의 요구에 능동적으로 정보를 수집하여 제공할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 EasyWeb의 구현 결과를 살펴보면 향후 웹 브라우저의 나아갈 방향을 모색할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

  • For the sake of activating web-based reading education in the public libraries, This study examine the practical use of web-based reading education and research into its activation. Web-based reading, red the book at any time/where with librarian and user, is to achieve the goal of reading education. The methods are to set up Home page of reading education through Internet, to guide user in various web-based reading materials and reading planning at any time. In addition, It is to be completed interactive action such as book review, reading dicussion through E-mail, a bulletin board, chatting etc. with librarian or user.

  • Computer technology and internet environment have been adapted to teaching and learning in Korean educational context. However, there are several problematic areas in operating web site for teaching and learning mathematics. This study aims to investigate the operating system, such as designing web site, contents information, and contents connection of NRICH web site that has been operated as a part of 'Millennium Mathematics Project' of Cambridge University since 1997. Based on these categories, this study also gives the implications for how to develop theme-centered contents, accumulation of continuous and long-term data, induction of user's participation, and various cooperation project.

  • With the advance of information communication technology, specifically the Internet technology, most schools have developed their own Web sites for the communication of diverse parties such as students, their parents, teachers, and others. In spite of the wide spread of school Web sites, their bulletin board systems are usually developed under the Web-boards for developing ordinary sites without reflecting educational environments. The purpose of this research is to develop the Web-board system for schools, which can be applied to construct adaptive school Web sites. This Web-board system is designed to reflect the educational environments as well as the user characteristics under the idea of customization and optimization. The main advantage of this Web-board system is that it can allow easy access to the system through user-friendly interface, and also promote interactions among users through their personalized Web pages.
