도축우의 근출혈 유발 인자에 관한 연구 (A study on the risk factors associated with blood splash in slaughtered cattle)

  • This study was conducted to analyse risk factors which can influence on blood splash in slaughtered cattle in D slaughterhouse located in Gyeonggi province in 2008. A total of 13,056 cattle were studied by several risk factors such as species, gender, body weight, meat grade, weather (temperature), transport distance, lairaging time, moving time, mixing cattle from different sources. As the result of analysis, the total mean of blood splash was 0.70% and the rate was highest (0.94%) in castrated Hanwoo. The heavier body weight, the higher blood splash rate. The farms which have had more than one experience of blood splash tend to have high grade in meat quality. As a weather factor, the rate in summer season was lower than in winter season. It increased as transport distance getting longer and decreased when the lairaging time was 2~5 hours. We could know many risk factors strongly related with the occurrence of blood splash from this study.

  • To minimize the occurrence of aviation accidents in the post-COVID, continuous flight training is crucial. However, the current infrastructure of domestic airports and airfields is insufficient to prepare for and respond to accidents, and there is a need for sufficient facility capacity. Therefore, this study examines the construction of a regional airport to minimize aviation accidents and selects factors necessary for determining the site location. Among the 11 selected factors, six were considered the most important site selection factors, including noise issues, weather conditions, obstacle limitations, environmental issues, airspace conditions, and facility usability. Applying these factors, an analysis was conducted on the Songpo area of Sacheon City, Gyeongsangnam-do. Based on a comprehensive review, it can be concluded that the Songpo area is a suitable choice for a regional airport due to its excellent transportation environment, consideration of noise and environmental issues with the residential population, and other factors. Furthermore, the development of the aviation industry is expected to bring about an increase in tourism and economic benefits, and it is anticipated to make a significant contribution to the domestic aviation industry along with the construction of the currently under-construction Ulleung Airport.

급수량(給水量) 단기(短期) 수요예측(需要豫測)에 대한 연구(硏究) (A Study on Daily Water Demand Prediction Model)

  • In this study, we examined the structural analysis of water demand fluctuation for water distribution control of water supply network. In order to analyze for the length of stationary time series, we calculate autocorrelation coefficient of each case equally divided data size. As a result, it was found that, with the data size of around three months, any case could be used as stationary time series. we analyze cross-correlation coefficient between the daily water consumption's data and primary influence factors. As a result, we have decided to use weather conditions and maximum temperature as natural primary factors and holidays as a social factor. Applying the multiple ARIMA model, we obtains an effective model to describe the daily water demand prediction. From the forecasting result, even though we forecast water distribution quantity of the following year, estimated values well express the flctuations of measurements. Thus, the suitability of the model for practical use can be confirmed. When this model is used for practical water distribution control, water distribution quantity for the following day should be found by inputting maximum temperature and weather conditions obtained from weather forecast, and water purification plants and service reservoirs should be operated based on this information while operation of pumps and valves should be set up. Consequently, we will be able to devise a rational water management system.

도로변 가로녹지 유형이 기상에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Temperature Reduction Effect of Street Green Area)

  • Global climate change caused by industrialization has caused abnormal weather conditions such as urban temperatures and tropical nights, urban heat waves, heat waves, and heavy rains. Therefore, the study tried to analyze climate conditions and weather conditions in the streets and analyze climate factors and meteorological factors that lead to inconvenience to citizens. In the case of trees, the overall temperature, surface temperature, solar irradiance, and net radiation were measured low, and the temperature was lower in the Pedestrian road than in roads. The dry bulb temperature, the black bulb temperature, and the wet bulb temperature for the thermal evaluation showed the same tendency. In the case of thermal evaluation, there was a similar tendency to temperature in WBGT, MRT, and UTCI, and varied differences between types. Although the correlation between the meteorological environment and the thermal environment showed a statistically significant significance, the difference between the measured items was not significant. The study found that the trees were generally pleasant to weather and thermal climate in the form of trees, and the differences were mostly documented.

  • Quantity of the solar power generation is heavily influenced by weather. In other words, due to difference in insolation, different quantity may be generated. However, it does not mean all areas with identical insolation produces same quantity because of various environmental aspects. Additionally, geographic factors such as altitude, height of plant may have an impact on the quantity. Hence, through this research, we designed a system to predict efficiency of the solar power generation system by applying insolation, weather factor such as duration of sunshine, cloudiness parameter and location. By applying insolation, weather data that are collected from various places, we established a system that fits with our nation. Apart from, we produced a geographic model equation through utilizing generated data installed nationwide. To design a prediction model that integrates two factors, we apply fuzzy algorithm, and validate the performance of system by establishing simulation system.

대구의 여름철 야간 냉각량과 기상요소와의 관련성 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between the Summertime Night Cooling Rate and Meteorological Elements in Daegu)

  • The relationship between night cooling rate and meteorological elements was investigated over the past five years (2016-2020), using weather data from the new (Daegu(143)) and old (Shinam(860)) Daegu Regional Meteorological Agency located in the suburban and urban regions, respectively. There was a correlation between the total daily amount of solar radiation (Stot) and the night cooling rate in the both regions. However, a higher correlation was observed at the new Daegu Regional Meteorological Agency station (Daegu(143)). In particular, data from the new Daegu Regional Meteorological Administration's observatory, which experiences a low thermal storage effect caused by artificial structures, showed a higher correlation between nighttime cooling and weather factors. The reason for this is that the lesser the heat storage effect caused by the artificial structures, the better the effect of surface radiation cooling on temperature reduction. These findings confirm that the correlation between night cooling and weather factors can be used to assess the impact of artificial structures in cities.

  • The strategic UAV for theater level ISR(Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) mission typically has numerous ground targets over area of responsibility(AOR) or area of operation(AO). It is necessary to automatically incorporate these multitude of ground targets into mission planning process in order to collect ISR images before actual flight mission. In addition, weather information such as wind direction and/or velocity may have significant impacts on the qualities of collected sensor images, especially in SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) images. Thus weather factors in the operation altitude should also be considered in the mission planning stage. In this study, we propose a novel mission planning scheme based on target scheduling and deviation correction method incorporating weather factors.

조선 세조대 기후특성과 재해 경감 노력 (Weather Characteristics and Efforts to Reduce Disasters during the Reign of King Sejo in the Chosun Dynasty)

  • This study was conducted in order to analyze weather characteristics during the reign of King Sejo in the Chosun Dynasty based on The Annals of the Chosun Dynasty. For this purpose, first of all, we need to determine whether The Annals of the Chosun Dynasty is a reliable material for research on weather characteristics. Thus, we compared weather phenomena during the reign of King Sejo with those in China and Japan in the same period. From the results, it was found that The Annals of the Chosun Dynasty is a useful material at least to grasp macroscopic trends in weather phenomena. Based on this assumption, we analyzed weather characteristics during the reign of King Sejo using data from The Annals of the Chosun Dynasty. During the days of King Sejo, the climate was not changed violently and there were not many disasters caused by abnormal climate such as bad harvests. This suggests that the climate was relatively stable during the period of King Sejo. As a consequence of stable weather, famine decreased markedly. However, this was not only because of stable climate but also because of the government's active efforts to reduce disasters. As droughts and floods were not frequent, social costs for recovery from disasters also decreased considerably and the saved money could be invested in the construction of social safety nets for the prevention of disasters. One of factors supporting the enthronement of King Sejo was a series of heavily damaging bad harvests during the reign of Kings Munjong and Danjong. The prevention of bad harvests was a historical mission given to the regime of King Sejo. During his reign, King Sejo promoted various policies in order to stop bad harvests. Such efforts included the government's active construction of embankments, introduction of seeds suitable for reclaimed lands, and inspiration of the consciousness of forceful farming enduring natural disasters such as floods. As a result, abnormal weathers such as floods and droughts did not lead directly to bad harvests.

Weather Conditions Drive the Damage Area Caused by Armillaria Root Disease in Coniferous Forests across Poland

  • Armillaria root disease affects forests around the world. It occurs in many habitats and causes losses in the infested stands. Weather conditions are important factors for growth and development of Armillaria species. Yet, the relation between occurrence of damage caused by Armillaria disease and weather variables are still poorly understood. Thus, we used generalized linear mixed models to determine the relationship between weather conditions of current and previous year (temperature, precipitation and their deviation from long-term averages, air humidity and soil temperature) and the incidence of Armillaria-induced damage in young (up to 20 years old) and older (over 20 years old) coniferous stands in selected forest districts across Poland. We used unique data, gathered over the course of 23 years (1987-2009) on tree damage incidence from Armillaria root disease and meteorological parameters from the 24-year period (1986-2009) to reflect the dynamics of damage occurrence and weather conditions. Weather parameters were better predictors of damage caused by Armillaria disease in younger stands than in older ones. The strongest predictor was soil temperature, especially that of the previous year growing season and the current year spring. We found that temperature and precipitation of different seasons in previous year had more pronounced effect on the young stand area affected by Armillaria. Each stand's age class was characterized by a different set of meteorological parameters that explained the area of disease occurrence. Moreover, forest district was included in all models and thus, was an important variable in explaining the stand area affected by Armillaria.

벼멸구의 비래와 기상과의 관계 (Relationship between Some Weather Conditions and Immigration of the Brown Planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens Stal)

  • 1981년부터 '87년 7년간 전국 151개 예찰소에 유아등으로 채집한 별멸구 유살성적을 비래파별로 구분하고 일일기상도와 850mb천기도를 근거로 비래시기의 기상형채를 검토한 결과 1)벼멸구의 주비래시기는 연도에 따라 차이가 있지만 주로 7월 중.하순이었다. 2) 비래량은 7월 하순에 가까울수록 많았으며 비래지역도 넓어졌다. 3)벼멸구 비래가 있었던 시기의 기상은 전선을 동반한 저기압이 우리나라를 통과할 때(A type)가 12회로 가장 많았고, 전선과 저기압이 남해안과 제주도를 통과할 때(B type)가 5회, 전선만이 걸쳐 있을 때 (C type)기 7회, 전선과 저기압이 통과가없을 때 (D type)가 2회 기록되었다. 4) 어니 브래형테에서나 우리나라 서남지방부터 비래가 있었으며, 이 지역이 비래량도 많았다. 5)비래시기에 기상의 공통점은 850mb천기도상에서 비래원으로 추정되는 중국 남부지방으로부터 남서풍이 불어오고 있었으며(26회중 26회), 강우전선은 26회중 24회, 저기압은 26회중 17회였다. 6)이상의 결과로 벼멸구는 중국으로부터 남서기류를 따라 이동해 오면 이동하는 과정에서 낙하를 유발하는 조건(전선등)이 있을 때 지상으로 떨어지는 것으로 생각된다.
