The questionnaire was adapted and modified from building symptom index of workers in large buildings by O. The questionnaire consisted of eight questions of the general characteristics of the subjects, 19 questions of working environment and job satisfaction, nine questions of working environment characteristics, and six questions of subjective health symptoms. The questionnaire was measured by Likert 4 scale. Cronbach's alpha in this study was 0.826. Except incomplete answers, 192 data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0 program including t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression. Results: The health symptoms were statistically and significantly different in glasses wearer and contact lens wearer, working hour satisfaction, and indoor environment(p<0.05). The subjective health symptoms were statistically different from the salary satisfaction, human relations satisfaction, office air environment, indoor environmental awareness score(p<0.05). • The purpose of this study is to identify the factors of benefits sought and rental intension based on the rental experience of clothing. To collect the data, 520 sheets of questionnaires, mostly self-administered, were used. And they were analyzed by SPSS(Ver. 10.0): frequencies, percentage, mean, factor analysis, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression. The results are as follows: 1. The most frequently-rented clothing items include a wedding dress and a graduation gown. The respondents were divided into 3 groups based on the rental experience: the light-experienced, the medium-experienced, and the heavy-experienced; 2. Factors of benefits sought in rental clothing include wearer compatibility, reasonability, condition compatibility, space saving, and conformity, and the total variance is 64.61%; 3. The heavy-experienced group tends to pursue wearer compatibility, reasonability, space saving, and conformity. The elder housewives with higher education who spend much on clothing belong to that group. The light-experienced includes male university students who do not spend much on clothing, and the medium-experienced includes elder employees; 4. Reasonability and clothing rental experience significantly affect rental intention, and their influence is 14.20%.

  • A quantitative fit test, condensation nuclei counting (Portacount 8025, TSI), was performed concurrently with a banana oil (isoamyl acetate: IAA) qualitative fit test (MSA) to evaluate reliability on IAA QLFT and correlation between two methods. One brands of quarter mask (3M model 7500 medium) was prepared for QLFT with HEPA filter and gas & vapor removing media, i.e., combination cartridge. 110 subjects (65 male, 45 female) were fit tested QNFT and QLFT each three times. For a wearer combination having a FF<10, as determined by CNC QNFT, the point es timate (${\beta}$-error) of the probability of that combination not being rejected by the banana oil QLFT was found to be 0.0 with 95% confidence that this statistic is not expected to exceed 0.15. For a wearer combination having a FF<100, as determined by CNC QNFT, the point estimate of the probability of that combination not being rejected by the banana oil QLFT was found to be 0.07 with 95% confidence that this statistic is not expected to exceed 0.13. The uncertainty associated with each estimate, however, is large due to the small number of study subjects with inadequately fitting respirators.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of three clothing cues(jacket color, skirt color, and tone of Korean dress) on the image of Korean dress wearer using tone-in-tone coloration. The experimental materials developed for this study are a set of stimuli and response scales. The stimuli are 16 color pictures manipulated with three clothing cues by drawing. The 7-point scale designed for visual evaluation of female impression formation includes 24 bipolar adjectives. The subjects were 192 undergraduate female students in Chinju city. The results of this study are as follow: As analyzing the image of female figure by the jacket color, skirt color, and tone, three factors including youth activity, attractiveness, and visibility were identified. Among these factors, youth activity and attractiveness were proved to be more important. Each dimensional image was affected by color coordination of jacket color, skirt color and tone of korean dress. Therefore, the image of Korean dress wearer could be varied by color coordination of jacket color, skirt color and tone of Korean dress.

  • The purpose of this study is to express visual and functional diversity through modifiable design, and to suggest a methodological model. With this view, this study was aimed to departmentalize the case of knitwear in modifiable design of clothes and propose the possibility of variable knit fashion through make the most of knit's characteristics. Four wearable physical clothes using the most of flexible knits' characteristics were made for this study based on the modifiable design on the expressive tendency and analysis of plasticity. The following results were obtained. First, as modifiable knit design can create effects of several dresses in visual aspect and functional aspect, so it has practicality and functionality. Because modifiable clothes required wearer's participation, this have amusement that give enjoyment and freshness to wearer. Second, in mode of wearing, flexibility of knit is suitable character to open & close and change of wearing position. In manipulation, a prearranged plan for line of clothes and good choice of subsidiary materials are important. Third, the characteristics of knits allow using and mixing with different pattern and materials on the two sides of the same cloths except for the some of the parts. Moreover, there is no unraveled thread on the part of knits margin against woven, so it has the broad applicable range for the changeable design. Finally, the form and function, a prearranged plan for modifiable design of clothes have all contributed in creating new structure and patterns in design.

  • For the structural firefighting protective clothing, it can show a synergy effect when it satisfies smart fabric to block off a harmful environmental element and ergonomics design that apply range of motion of human body and appropriate size system. There are various standards about the structural firefighting protective clothing, but it's difficult to find a rule about movement suitability because the performance of the material holds a lot of the rules. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to propose a scheme to evaluate the current structural firefighting protective clothing and to improve movement suitability by research on the actual condition. For this, the survey about wearer acceptability scale on design and size and about improvement requirements was executed gathering firefighters' opinion. Questionnaire was composed with 23 items about satisfaction on current structural firefighting protective clothing, body suitability, movement suitability, improvement requirement and subjective information. As a results, Korean firefighters demand ergonomics design of structural firefighting protective clothing which to minimize restriction of body movement and to maximize body suitability.

  • The purpose of this research was to investigate the image dimension depending on the coloration of the Korean jacket of cromatic colors and the Korean skirt of acromatic color and to elucidate the image difference depending on the tone variation of the Korean jacket and the Korean skirt. The experimental materials used for this study were sets of stimulus and response scales(7 point semantic). The stimuli manipulated by computer simulation were 48 color pictures with various combinations of colors of jackets and skirts. The subjects were 576 female undergraduates living in Jinju city. This experiment was based on the $3{\times}4{\times}4$ factorial designs: jacket color(red, yellow and green), jacket tone(vivid, light, dull and dark), and skirt tone(N9, N7, N4 and N2). Image factor of the stimuli consisted of 4 different dimensions(youthfulness and activity, gracefulness, visibility and tenderness). Among them, the youthfulness and activity, and the gracefulness were important. According to the tone variation of Korean jacket of cromatic colors and Korean skirt of acromatic color, the images for a wearer were expressed diversely and showed the difference in image dimensions.

  • This study aimed to seek character and design of fashion cultural product using an optical fiber, and inquire element to be able to apply when an optic-fiber design differentiation develop into craft art and design. At present, optical fibers are commercialized with the brands of Luminex, Lumitex, Lumigram, etc., and the products are developed diversely in cloths, fashion articles, and interior products. When electronic technology becomes confused not visually in the technology of textile, the characteristics of fashion designs applied with optical fiber can be approximately classified for amusement, sensitivity direction, interaction, and protective performances. Sensitive design is taken a serious view as a new expression method to be interesting and attractive as well as a kind of amusement method to make people feel fortuity they do not experience in normal fashion. Also, it pursues function of body protection as a medium of communication to convey message to wearer and observer on the basis of reciprocal action between clothes and wearer.
