5MW 해상풍력타워를 위한 콘크리트 지지구조물의 내진해석 (Seismic Analysis for Multi-pile Concrete Foundation in 5MW Class Offshore Wind Turbine)

  • 최근 신재생 에너지 중 하나인 풍력발전에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 풍력발전은 토지구입비, 소음문제에 자유로운 해상풍력으로 추세가 옮겨가고 있으며 이를 위한 연구개발이 전 세계적으로 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 해상에 위치한 풍력발전을 위한 설계기준은 국내, 국외 모두 없는 실정이다. 이 점을 고려하여 국내, 국외의 구조설계기준인 도로교 설계기준, 항만 및 어항 설계기준, DNV OS를 참고하여 다중 파일기초 콘크리트 지지구조물(MCF)의 내진해석을 수행하여 결과를 비교하였다. 또한 시간에 의한 효과를 확인하기 위하여 시간이력 해석 또한 수행되었다. 부가질량법(Added-mass method)을 사용하여 물과 구조의 상호작용을 고려하였고 물의 유무에 따라 구조물의 반응을 비교하였다.

  • Micro hydraulic power generation of which the output is less or equal to a 100kW is attracting considerable attention. This is because of its small, simple, renewable, and abundant energy resources. By using a small hydropower generator of which main concept is based on using the different water pressure levels in pipe lines, energy which was initially wasted by use of a reducing valve at the end of the pipeline, is collected by turbine in the hydropower generator. A propeller shaped hydroturbine has been used in order to use this renewable pressure energy. In this study, in order to acquire basic design data of tubular type hydraulic turbine, output power, head, efficiency characteristics due to the flow coefficient are examined in detail. Moreover influences of pressure and velocity distributions with the variations of runner vane angle on turbine performance are investigated by using a commercial CFD code.

  • Automatic control equipment in hydro power plant, such as turbine governor or automatic voltage regulator have to act promptly against for variation of power system, so it is necessary to check and test continuously. During last five years, the performance test of automatic control equipment was performed about 20 units of hydro turbine generator. In this process, because it has complex connection and before calibration, signal conditioner was developed as an auxiliary equipment for performance test. It includes function of signal amplifier, transducer, and meters. As a result of use this equipment for electric governor test at soyang-gang hydro power plant, it was possible to find output data equal to old one.

  • Recently, many advanced countries are devoted to the development of eco-friendly new-renewable energy to prepare for the depletion of resources. Korea belongs to the absolute lack of energy to import from abroad 97% of energy use. So, development and supply of eco-friendly energy such as small hydro power has been required even more. Our country has a large number of small-sized reservoirs and dams. So, hydro generator has been installed at the small reservoirs and dams with the economy. Since the discharge flow of agricultural reservoir is not constant, the guide vane of wicket gate is used for adjusting the output of the generator.

  • Tangjin Power Plant is modern Korean standard plant which is made up Once Through Super Critical Boiler, Turbin, Generator and Flue Gas Desulfarization System. INFI-90 system fur control of the 500 MW Korean standard super critical once through boiler Mark-V for Turbine, EX-2000 fer Generator, WDPF for FGD were installed in Tangiin thermal power plant. There were two BFPTs, BFPM, 25% control valve, 35% control valve to control boiler feed water flow. It is very difficult to tune the Separator Tank level control system and change the mode from Wet to Dry. This paper focuses on test results and modification control logic for feed water control system in Tangjin power plant.

  • Due to a high tidal range of up to 10 m on the west coast of Korea, numerous tidal current projects are being planned and constructed. The turbine, which initially converts the tidal energy, is an important component because it affects the efficiency of the entire system. Its performance is determined by design variables such as the number of blades, the shape of foils, and the size of a hub. To design a turbine that can extract the maximum power on the site, the depth and duration of current velocity with respect to direction should be considered. Verifying the performance of a designed turbine is important, and requires a circulating water channel (CWC) facility. A physical model for the performance test of the turbine should be carefully designed and compared to results from computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis. In this study, a horizontal axis tidal current turbine is designed based on the blade element theory. The proposed turbine's performance is evaluated using both CFD and a CWC experiment. The sealing system, power train, measuring devices, and generator are arranged in a nacelle, and the complete TCP system is demonstrated in a laboratory scale.

  • The industrial revolution in England was based on the manufacturing systems by the power of water mill and rapidly progressed by the innovation of steam engine. It is no exaggeration to say that today's civilization is realized by the development of various types of power machinery, namely fluid machinery and heat engine. The electric energy is converted mainly from thermal energy (mainly steam) of mineral oil, coal and nuclear fuel through generator connected with steam turbine which is a kind of power machinery. There are various types of power machinery as shown in Tables 1a and 1b. They are classified into two types by use. One is absorption type of fluid and/or thermal energy, for examples, windmill and heat engine. The other is provision type of the energies for examples, pump, compressor and propulsion. By flow type, they are also classified by two types, turbo type and positive-displacement type. The turbo type began from water mill and windmill and evolve to steam turbine and finally to gas turbine. The positive-displacement type started from reciprocating water pump and developed into steam engine and changed to reciprocating combustion engine. The pumps and motors used in oil hydraulic system for power control are also positive-displacement type.

  • The huge economical damage and environmental pollution have been occurred for decades because of using of fossil fuel. So the development of alternative energy is urgent. In the west sea of Korea, a proper area for tidal power plant, development and investigation for economical efficient of tidal power plant are preceeding. The water turbine generator with the capacity of 25.4MW was used to compare single-basin flood tide generation with ebb tide generation while considering the water depth and tide in the vicinity of Sukmodo.

  • Advanced Pressurized Reactor 1400(APR-1400), which is a standard evolutionary advanced light water reactor(ALWR), has been developed from 1992 as one of long-term Government Project(G-7). The APR-1400 is designed to operate at the rated output of 4000MWt to produce an electric power output of around 1450MWe. The balance of plant (BOP) for the secondary system consists of main steam, feedwater, condensate, turbine generator and auxiliary system. In this paper, we describe the major design features of secondary component, balance of plant configuration, and then the turbine cycle thermal performance evaluation using PEPSE code.

  • Recently, concern for tidal power is being increased by newly recycled energy. It is important to decide on the maximum power estimate operation and it's stop by applying the difference of water level between tide level and artificial reservoir for the administration of tidal development. For maximum output of power through turbine generator, administrative variables and process on efficiency of hydraulic turbine and inflow discharge of reservoir is quite complicated because it is run through the connection of discharge-gate and turbine On the development of this model, the administrative process is decided, Operation block is presented for it's maximum power estimate.
