유전체구 충진형 전극계의 코로나방전과 강전해수 발생특성 (Corona Discharge and Strong Electrolyzed Water Generation Characteristics of the Electrode System Bedded by Dielectric Pellets)

  • 본 논문은 전해수 발생장치내에 이온분리집속 격막을 설치하여 비유전율이 틀리는 유전체구를 충진한 구조로 함으로써 고효율의 강전해수 발생장치를 제안하였다. 염화나트륨이 용해된 수도수와 일반수도수를 원료수로서 본 강전해수 발생장치에 인입하였을 때 충진된 유전체구의 비유전율 변화가 수중 이온분리집속성능에 미치는 영향을 연구 검토하였다. 실험결과로서 본 강전해수 발생장치에 원료수로서 수도수의 유속을 0.5[LPM]으로 인입시키고 구형파 펄스전류를 1.0[A]로 인가하였을 때 pH 3.1과 10.6의 전해수를 얻을 수 있었다. 그리고 염화나트륨이 0.1[wt%]용해된 수도수의 경우 pH 2.8과 11.7의 전해수를 얻었다. 또한 비유전율이 가장 높은 BaTiO$_3$과 같은 유전체구를 전해수 발생장치에 충진한 경우 각각 PH 2.7, 11.7과 pH 2.4, 12.0의 전해수를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • This paper focuses on the study of the most recent ultra-filtration techniques, based on porous polymer membranes, used for the treatment of wastewater from oil, mine and hydrometallurgical industries. The performance of porous membranes used in separation and recovery of oil and heavy metals from wastewater, was evaluated by the polymer composition and by the membrane characteristics, as it follows: hydrophobicity or hydrophilicity, porosity, carrier (composition and concentration), selectivity, fouling, durability, separation efficiency and operating conditions. The oil/water efficient separation was observed on ultra-filtration (UF) techniques, with porous membranes, whereas heavy metals recovery from wastewater was observed using porous membranes with carrier. It can be concluded, that in the ultra-filtration wastewater treatments, a hybrid system, with porous polymer membranes with or without carrier, can be used for these two applications: oil/water separation and heavy metals recovery.

자기분리가 가능한 지르코늄 자성 흡착제의 합성과 인 흡착 특성 (Synthesis and Phosphorus Adsorption Characteristics of Zirconium Magnetic Adsorbent Having Magnetic Separation Capability)

  • The purpose of this study, is to separate magnetic separation devices using permanent magnets by using magnetization characteristics remaining in treated water after adsorption and synthesizing phosphorus adsorbent capable of magnetic separation for efficient removal of phosphorus. The synthesis of the adsorbent which set Zirconium(Zr) having high friendly features for phosphorus as an element, and by synthesizing Iron Oxide($Fe_3O_4$, another name of $Fe_3O_4$ is magnetite) being able to grant magnetism to Zirconium Sulfate($Zr(SO_4)_2$), zirconium magnetic adsorbent(ZM) were manufactured. In order to consider the phosphorus adsorption characteristics of adsorbent ZM, batch adsorption experiment was performed, and based on the results, pH effect, adsorption isotherm, adsorption kinetics, and magnetic separation have been explore. As the experiment result, adsorbent ZM showed a tendency that the adsorption number was decreased rapidly at pH 13; however, it was showed a high amount of phosphorus removal in other range and it showed the highest amount of phosphorus removal in pH 6 of neutral range. In addtion, the Langmuir adsorption isotherm model is matched well, and D-R adsorption isotherm model is ranged 14.43kJ/mol indicating ion exchange mechanism. The result shown adsorption kinetics match well to the Pseudo-second-order kinetic model. The adsorbent ZM's capablility of regenerating NaOH and $H_2SO_4$, was high selectivity on the phosphorus without impacts on the other anions. The results of applying the treated water after adsorption of phosphorus to the magnetic separation device by using permanent magnets, shows that capture of the adsorbent by the magnetization filter was perfect. And they show the possibility of utilization on the phosphorus removal in water.

분리판식 유수분리기의 평행판 배열과 유수분리 효율에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Parallel plate Arrangement and Oil/water Separation Efficiency for Plate type Oily water Separator)

  • 갈수록 강화되고 있는 해양오염 기준에 맞추어 유성 빌지 배출시 포함된 기름의 함유량을 제어하기 위한 방법 중의 하나로 중력 분리 방식의 유수분리기가 개발되어왔다. 중력분리 방식 중 분리판식 유수관리기는 고비중을 가진 다량의 농후유를 처리하는데 있어서 효과적이기 때문에, 현재 IMO 기준인 15ppm에 부합하는 필터여과방식의 보완장치로서 사용이 가능하다. 이 논고의 목적은 분리판의 배열에 따른 유수분리 효율에 대해 검토하는 것이다. 유량, 유입유분농도 그리고 분리판 사이의 간격 등을 포함한 여러 가지 운용상의 변수가 있는 유성혼합물에 대한 효율적인 처리를 알아보기 위해 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 실험결과 얻은 결론에서 격리판 사이의 간격이 분리효율에 지대한 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었고, 가장 좋은 분리 효율은 분리판과 내통 사이 간격과의 비율(H/Ci)이 2일 때 유입유분농도가 낮고 유량이 작은 경우에 얻어졌다.

  • A rapid separation of an edible panaxadiol (PD) and panaxatriol (PT) in ginseng saponins has been investigated by benzene ethylene resin adsorption method. Briefly, powdered red ginseng was extracted with water. The obtained ginseng extract were dissolved in suitable volume of distilled water, and adsorbed on the benzene ethylene resin with 200 folds water of the resin weight. Sugars and hydrophilic character compounds not absorbed were washed with water, and eliminated by 10-fold water of the resin weight. An edible panaxadiol and panaxatriol can be perfectly separated from ginseng saponins with the fractions below 40% aqueous ethanol and over 45% as an fluent.

  • A series of laboratory experiments carried out to investigate the particle separation efficiency and flotation characteristics using $CO_2$ bubbles. The primary objective of this study was to find out the feasibility of $CO_2$ bubbles as an applicable unit of flotation process in tap-water and wastewater treatment plant. The fundamental measurements were conducted to characterize the $CO_2$ bubble from the physical viewpoint in water including bubble size distribution and rising velocity under various operational conditions. In addition, the removal efficiency of solid was experimented using the lab scale plant applied $CO_2$ bubbles, namely the dissolved carbon dioxide flotation (DCF) process. The DCF process using carbon dioxide bubble, which is an advantage as the decrease and the reuse of Green-House gas, can be a promising technology as an water treatment process. On the other hand, the further research to decrease the bubble size distribution of $CO_2$ is required to enhance the particle separation efficiency.

강우와 융설의 안정동위원소 변동에 의한 동위원소 수문분리법의 계통오차계산 (Influences of Fractionation of Stable Isotopic Composition of Rain and Snowmelt on Isotopic Hydrograph Separation)

  • 물안정동위원소를 이용하여 지하수와 강우 또는 융설이 하천에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 분리하는 방법을 동위원소 수문분리법이라고 하며 지난 30년 동안 사용되어 왔다. 오래된 물(지하수)과 새로운 물(강우 및 융설)의 두 성분이 하천에 영향을 미치는 것으로 가정하고 새로운 물과 오래된 물의 주어진 시간동안의 동위원소를 측정하여 각각의 성분에 대한 비율을 결정할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 동위원소 수문분리법을 수계에 적용할 때 새로운 물의 시간적인 안정동위원소분화를 고려하지 않고 새로운 물의 평균값을 이용하였을 때 계통오차가 발생함을 보였다. 이러한 표준오차의 크기는 (1) 새로운 물이 하천에 많이 기여할수록, (2) 사용된 평균값과 분화된 새로운 물의 안정동위원소 값과 차이가 클수록, 마지막으로 (3) 오래된 물과 새로운 물의 안정동위원소 값의 차이가 작을수록 커진다. 집중 호우로 유출이 증가하거나 봄철에 지면이 아직 녹지 않아 융설이 유출이 되는 경우 새로운 물이 하천에 미치는 영향이 커지게 되어 상대오차 역시 증가한다. 이러한 오차를 줄이기 위해서 각각의 새로운 물, 오래된 물, 하천의 안정동위원소를 같은 시간 간격으로 측정하여 새로운 물이 분화되는 것을 고려한 수문분리법을 수행하는 것을 고려하여야 한다.

  • The feasibility of foam separation to remove protein in aquacultural recirculating water was investigated. From the results of batch foam separation on protein removal, superficial air velocity and initial protein concentration in bulk solution were found to be important operational factors In determining removal rates of protein. The protein removal rate by batch foam separation was proportionally increased with the superficial air velocity. Performance characteristics of continous foam separator were highly dependent upon the operating parameters of superficial air velocity, hydraulic retention time(HRT) and foam height. Removal effeciency of protein increases with increasing superficial air velocity and HRT, and independent on foam height. As DO concentration was increased with superficial air velocity, foam separator is also used for oxygen addition. It could be confinned that foam separator might offer better perspective for protein removal in aquacuitural recirculating water.

  • The performance of inorganic sludge separation system is evaluated. Anaerobic digester effluent sludge is used for feed sludge of this system and hydrocyclone is used for inorganic sludge separation. For phosphorus removal and recovery $MgCl_2$ is pumped into MAP growth tank, a component of inorganic sludge separation system. Using this system inorganic sludge which contained less than 40 % of organic matter can be discharged stably and the maximum amount of separated inorganic sludge is 13.4 % of influent sludge based on dry solid. The amount of phosphorus recovered as MAP(as P) is 16.7 % to influent T-P.

Preparation of a Water-Selective Ceramic Membrane on a Porous Stainless Steel Support by Sol-Gel Process and Its Application to Dehydration Membrane Reactor

  • We developed a water-selective ceramic composite membrane for use as a dehydration membrane reactor for dimethylether (DME) synthesis from methanol. The membranes were modified on the porous stainless steel support by the sol-gel method accompanied by a suction process. The improved membrane modification process was effective in increasing the vapour permselectivity by removal of defects and pinholes. The optimized alumina/silica composite membrane exhibited a water permeance of 1.14${\times}$10$^{-7}$ mol/$m^2$.sec.Pa and a water/methanol selectivity of 8.4 at permeation temperature of 25$0^{\circ}C$. The catalytic reaction for DME synthesis from methanol using the membrane was performed at 23$0^{\circ}C$, and the reaction conversion was compared with that of the conventional fixed-bed reactor. The reaction conversion of the membrane reactor was much higher than that of the conventional fixed-bed reactor. The reaction conversion of the membrane reactor and the conventional fixed-bed reactor was 82.5 and 68.0%, respectively. This improvement of reaction efficiency can last if the water vapour produced in the reaction zone is removed continuously.
