고속으로 입수하는 물체에 대한 충격량 및 입수 거동 해석 (Numerical Analysis of Impact Forces and Entry Behaviors of the High Speed Water Entry Bodies)

  • The numerical methodology for computing tile impact forces and water entry behaviors of high speed water entry bodies was been developed. Since the present method assumed the impact occurs within a very short time interval. the viscous effects do not have enough time to play a significant role in the impact forces, that is, the flow around a water-entry object was assumed as an incompressible potential flow and is solved by the source panel method. The elements fully submerged into the water are routinely treated, but the elements intersected by the effective planar free surface are redefined and reorganized to be amenable to the source panel method. To validate the present code, it was applied to disk, cone and ogive model and compared with experimental data. Good agreement was obtained. The water entry behavior such as the bouncing phenomena from the free surface was also simulated using the impact forces and two degree of freedom dynamic equation. Physically acceptable results were obtained.

고속입수체의 제어판 충격해석 (The Analysis of Impact at the Fin of High Speed Water-Entry Body)

  • The analysis of water-entry impact forces acting on the fin shaft of high speed water-entry body is described. During the entry of high speed body into water, the physical phenomenon and flow properties are analyzed. A proper analysis model is established and the method to estimate the flow force which causes impact torque at the fin shaft is described. It is assumed that the fin shaft is damaged by the force which is induced by contacting with cavity wall. The pressure distribution of fin and the maximum torque are estimated and compared with breaking force. Conclusively, it is hard to resist water-entry impact force in terms of the reinforcement of fin shaft. Additionally safe equipment is essentially required.

  • 물체가 수중에 입수할 때, 원래의 운동에너지는 물체와 그 주위의 물에 부가질량 형태로 분배된다. 이러한 에너지 혹은 운동량의 전달에 기인하여 물체는 유체동력학적 충격력과 가속도를 받는다. 이러한 충격거동은 수중운동체의 공중 발사에 중요한 고려 요인이 된다. 본 논문에서는 구명정 모델을 바탕으로 원통형 물체의 입수에 대한 충격거동을 해석하는 근사기법을 제안하였다. 충격력은 von Karman의 운동량 이론으로 계산하고, 운동, 특히 가속도는 유체동력학적 힘의 평형에 의하여 유도된 운동방정식의 수치 적분으로 계산하였다. 제안된 방법은 입수충격을 받는 물체의 초기설계나 운동 해석을 위한 단순하면서도 효과적인 방안이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • 항공기나 헬기에서 투하되어 수면으로 입수하는 경어뢰에 작용하는 충격력은 경어뢰 구성부의 손상을 유발시킬 수 있으므로 투하 속도 및 투하 고도를 제한하는 조건이 된다. 따라서, 투하 조건에 따라 입수 충격을 신뢰성 있게 추정할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 선수부 형상에 대한 함수로 입수 충격을 근사적으로 추정할 수 있는 방법을 제시하고, 그 결과를 수치 해석 결과와 비교하여 타당성을 검증하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 근사화 방법으로 추정한 입수 충격의 크기나 작용시간은 포텐셜 유동이나 점성 유동 해석에 의한 결과들과 비교적 잘 일치하므로 본 연구 결과는 초기 설계 단계에서 안전 발사 영역을 선정하기 위한 기법으로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

탐지확률 분석에 의한 입수점 선정 알고리듬 개발 방안 (A Development Method for Water Entry Point Selection Algorithm by Detection Probability Analysis)

  • In this paper, Water Entry Point Selection Algorithm(WEPSA) for selecting an optimal Water Entry Point of anti-submarine missiles which maximizes Detection Probability about a given target was investigated. WEPSA is a method which decides the position of an optimal Water Entry Point with calculating the target Detection Probability of a torpedo in the whole domain which centered by the target, performing the Monte-Carlo Simulations which include errors for the target informations and for weapon delivery. We can decide an optimal Water Entry Point of anti-submarine missiles which maximizes Detection Probability about a given target with WEPSA, if we get target informations about target range, target bearing, target speed and target course from Combat Systems.

해상 소형 낙하물 입수흔적의 크기 예측 및 검증 (Prediction and Verification of Water-entry Traces Size of Small Falling Objects into the Sea)

  • An unmanned aerial photography method by using an unmanned helicopter is useful method for measuring of the water-entry traces of small falling objects into the sea. Pixel sizes on the aerial photograph may be too large due to a limit of camcorder resolution and a wide shooting area. If the pixel size is too large, identification of water-entry trace is impossible. Thus an accurate prediction of water-entry trace size is required. The traces of water-entry could be classified into three types such as splash, water column, and bubble. Diameters of each trace are predicted by water-entry impact pressure theories, cavity theories, and trial test results. The results are verified by drop tests using an unmanned helicopter at two water-entry speeds. As a result, prediction and test results showed sufficient similarity to evaluate the identifiability of water-entry trace.

입수 충격 수중 순간 소음에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Underwater Transient Noise Generated by Water-Entry Impact)

  • 본 연구에서는 입수 충격에 의한 수중 순간 소음을 연구하기 위해, 황해에서 발사대를 이용하여 해상 실험을 진행하였다. 해상시험선인 청해호 우현상에서 발사대를 이용하여 실린더 몸체를 수직으로 발사하였으며, 이때 발생하는 소음을 하이드로폰으로 측정하였다. 실험에서는 원통형, 원뿔형, 반구형 두부 형상을 가진 3가지 종류의 실린더 몸체가 사용되었다. 측정된 신호는 시간적으로 확연하게 구분되어 3단계로 전시되었다 : (1) 초기 충돌 및 물체 진동단계, (2) 개방 공동 유동 단계, (3) 공동 붕괴 및 거품 진동 단계. 대부분의 경우, 거품 진동 단계의 파형이 초기 충돌 및 물체 진동 단계에 비해 우세하게 나타났다. 공동이 붕괴되기 시작하는 핀치 오프 시간은 0.18 ~ 0.2 s에 발생하였으며, 평균 거품 지속 시간은 0.9 ~ 1.3 s로 지속되었다. 입수 충격 소음은 100 Hz 이하의 대역에서 에너지가 집중되어 있었으며, 생성되는 소음은 두부 형상, 물체 질량, 발사 속도에 의해 영향을 받았다. 결과적으로, 거품 주파수에서 에너지 스펙트럼 밀도의 크기는 원통형, 원뿔형, 반구형 순으로 나타났으며, 동일 입수체에 대해서는 초기 에너지가 클수록 거품 주파수에서 에너지 스펙트럼 밀도가 크게 나타났다. 최종적으로, 버블이 폭발하는 물리적 현상을 기반으로 모의된 신호와 계측 값간 비교 결과 만족스러운 결론을 얻을 수 있었다.

유한요소 해석을 통한 활공비행체의 입수충격해석 (Impact Analysis on Water Entry of Gliding Vehicle using Finite Element Method)

  • In this paper, impact characteristics of a water entry gliding vehicle were analyzed using a finite element method. To guarantee the validity of analysis results, a convergence test was performed for several ratios of Euler and Largrange mesh sizes. The impact coefficient was calculated with respect to entry angles and angle of attacks. It can be observed that the impact coefficient was large at a high cross-section gradient and was also affected by cavitation. This study could be useful in the preliminary design stage of a water entry bomb development.

SNUFOAM을 이용한 2차원 선박단면 형상의 입수 충격에 대한 연구 (A STUDY ON WATER ENTRY OF TWO-DIMENSIONAL CROSS-SECTIONAL SHAPE USING SNUFOAM)

  • Nowadays, large container ships are continually developed and that's why the bow and stern structural stability problems by slamming become a significant more and more. However, due to the complexity of slamming, it is difficult to consider those problems at the design stage. For this reason, we attempt numerical analysis through SNUFOAM by generating the bow and stern two-dimensional cross-sectional grid in WILS JIP experiment at KRISO. Unlike the conventional method for the computation time saving, by setting the inlet flow conditions referred to the model test, we analyzed the slamming without applying the grid deformation method. As a result, when the stern model, as in the previous studies, it was possible to obtain quantitatively the fluid impulse is close to the experimental results. When the bow model, we can found the change by the position of force sensors which are derived for the bulbous bow and obtained fluid impulse and flow shape at slamming similar to the model test.
