  • Membrane separation technology has become a more attractive technology on waste water treatment and water recycle in recent years. On this application, membrane does not take main part of treatment, such as decomposition or handling of organic matter in the waste water, but it is very important supporting method in the total system. Activated sludge is most popular method as main part. In the system , membrane works as a separator to obtain clear water after biological treatment, by which the permeate could be released, recycled or applied to further additional treatment, instead of conventional sedimentation, coagulation and sand filtration. We would like to introduce our system cases for waste water treatment and water recycle, in which membrane separation technology works. In most of cases, membranes are applied to solid- liquid separation of activated sludge. Our experiences will be introduced as following items.

  • Recently, there have been many studies seeking towards the utilization of cementitious powder from concrete waste as recycle cement. However, most of the studies actually have been researches about the reuse of mortar or paste, not concrete waste. In fact, either mortar or paste is quite different from a real concrete waste in terms of age and mixture. Thus the purpose of this study is to examine basic physical properties of recycle cement, manufactured with cementitious powder from concrete waste, and analyze differences in chemical and hydraulic properties of the cement and its tested model. As a result of the chemicai analysis, recycle cement is composed mainly of CaO and SiO2, and that it is even lower in the content of CaO than Portland cement, which is also supported by previous studies. But, Differently from previous studies, plastic working at the temperature of 650 was found an optimal condition under which cementitious powder from concrete waste could restore its hydraulic properties.

혼화재료를 혼입한 재생시멘트 모르터의 수화특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Hydration Properties of Recycled Cement Mortar using Admixture Materials)

  • The purpose of this study was the development of a recycling process to recover the hydraulic properties of hydration products which account for a large proportion of cementitious powder from concrete waste. This process was performed to recycle cementitious powder as recycle cement. Therefore, after the theoretical consideration of the properties of recycle process of recycled aggregates and cementitious powder, we investigated the hydraulic properties of cementitious powder under various temperature conditions in hardened mortar which was modeled on concrete waste. And we analyzed properties of chemical reactions of recycled cement with admixture materials such as Fly-Ash, Blast Furnace Slag As a result of the experiment, the most effective method to recover hydraulic properties of the cementitious powder from concrete waste was condition of burning at 700℃ for 120 minute. And it is shown that the fluidity of mortar was decreased rapidly when the burning temperature of recycle cement was increased. However, the compressive strength and fluidity were improved significantly when admixture materials such as Fly-Ash or Blast Furnace Slag was added.

  • 한국의 가장 오래된 상업 원전인 고리 1호기가 2017년에 해체가 이루어질 예정이다. 원전 해체 폐기물의 적절한 처리는 효율적인 원전해체에 있어 중요한 역할을 할 것이다. 특히, 저준위 또는 오염되지 않은 금속폐기물의 재활용은 폐기물 발생 저감은 물론 처분장의 공간을 절약하는데 기여할 것이다. 본 논문은 재활용 시스템의 개념설계와 정의된 업무 흐름에서 발생하는 피폭 선량을 평가하는데 그 목적이 있다. 작업의 흐름과 운전 개념을 정립하기 위해 다양한 형태의 다이어그램을 설계하였다. 선량평가에 필요한 시나리오는 개념설계를 기반으로 선정되었으며, RESRAD-RECYCLE을 이용하여 선량을 평가하였다. 이를 통하여, 결정적 시나리오 선별, 핵종 특성 및 핵종 분배가 선량에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 더 나아가, 선량분석은 피폭 시나리오에 대한 대체 방안 수립, 필요한 제염 및 방사선방어 프로세스 그리고 허용 방사능 검토의 정보를 제공하는데 사용 될 수 있을 것이다.

Waste Oil과 Recycle의 동향

  • 근년에 이르러 waste oil의 문제는 그 어느 때보다도 양이나 종류에 있어서 과거에 볼 수 없었던 만큼 심각한 양상을 나타내고 있다. 1992년도 한해동안 세계적으로 발생된 바 있는 폐윤활유의 양은 약 23,200 mega liter로 추정되고 있으며, 재정제에 의하여 recycle된 oil은 각국에 따라 차이점은 있으나 대략 수요량의 2~3%로서 이들의 합계량은 약 1,890 mega liter로 추정되고 있다. 한편 우리나라 waste oil의 발생량인 경우, 통계가 명확하지는 않지만 1993년도 한해동안 약 75만톤에 이를 것으로 추정되고 있는가 하면, 이 중 특정폐기물로 분류되고 있는 자동차용 폐윤활유에 있어서는 약 18만톤이 발생된 바 있다. 본 기고에서는 각종 폐유 중 특정폐기물인 폐윤활유를 중심으로한 제목건에 대하여 간략하게 기술하기로 하겠다.

폐기물 처리시설에 관한 소도시 시민의 의식 조사 (Citizen's Attitude to Treatment Facilities of Municipal Solid Waste in Small City)

  • A questionary survey was conducted to investigate citizen's attitude to treatment facilities of municipal solid waste in Miryang during 8. June of 1998 and 22 June of 1988. Collection effiencies was 86.7%, as 260 individuals of the 300 individuals. The survey showed that 43.0% of answers recognized seriousness of problem of the waste treatment and 33.1% of respondents concerned about recycle of organic waste. 40.8% of total answers said that they most hated landfill site among waste treatment facilities, and most citizens wanted as much distant as possible from waste treatment facilities. It was investigated that the greater part of respondents wanted the greatest compensation. About 58% of respondents was opposed to complete waste treatment facilities. 36.2$ among answers wanted establishment of waste treatment facilities in an industrial complex or an industrial area. The majority of respondents was willing to increase recycle rate and recognized seriousness of landfill site security. The majority of citizens do not trust environmental administration of Miryang City and they think that democracy and open of administration need for overcome MINBY.

특허분석(特許分析)에 의한 폐플라스틱 재활용(再活用) 기술(技術) 동향(動向) (Trend for Waste Plastic Recycling Technology by Patent Analysis)

  • 폐플라스틱 관련 재활용 기술 동향을 조사하기 위하여 특허 검색을 실시하였다. 특허 검색 테이터베이스는 국내 WIPS사의 특허 검색 사이트를 이용하였으며, 특허검색범위는 2009년 9월까지 미국, 유럽연합, 일본과 한국에서 출원 및 공개된 특허로 제한하였다. 본 연구에서는 검색된 특허의 요약문을 분석하여 최종 4,795건의 특허를 대상으로 분석하였으며, 폐플라스틱 재활용 기술동향을 연도별, 국가별, 출원인별로 분석하여 조사하였다. 일본의 특허 출원점유율은 65%으로 전체 특허의 과반수 이상을 차지하고 있었으며, 화학적 재활용 기술에 높은 출원 집중률을 보였다. 한국의 경우, 폐플라스틱 재활용 관련 특허는 물질 재활용에 집중되어 있었다.

예비가열법에 의한 폐콘크리트 재생골재의 물성개선 (The Improvement of Properties of Recycled aggregates using Concrete Waste by Pre-heating Method.)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data on the optimum method for interfacial separation for an effective recycle of concrete waste by using the thermal properties of concrete. Therefore, this study is proceeded by dividing the interface of concrete into cement paste and fine aggregates or mortar and coarse aggregate, considering the aspect of recycled cement and aggregate as the recycling use of concrete waste. As results of the experiment, in case of recycle cement, the interfacial separation is easily appeared, but it is shown that the mixed amount of powder included in fine aggregate doesn't greatly decrease. But, in case of recycle coarse aggregate, the effect of interfacial separation by preliminary heating is predominant. Especially, the bonding rate of mortar is the lowest when it is heated 5 times for 120 minutes at $300^{\circ}C$. Hence, it is considered that it will be an excellent effect of quality control when the results of this study is applied to a manufacturing system of recycle coarse aggregate which is about to put into practical use.

2단 혐기성소화조의 슬러지 반송율 변화를 통한 Bio-Gas 생산 증대 (The Improvement of Bio-gas Production through the Change of Sludge-Recycle Ratio with Two-Stage Anaerobic Digestion)

  • This study has cross checked the change of internal sludge-recycle in Anaerobic-Digestion, and researched about not only the improvement of Bio-gas production from the digested sludge but also the efficient method of sludge minimization. Ultimate object of the study is to reduce the amount of sludge by the improved efficiency of contact with the organic-matter and the microbes in Anaerobic-Digestion. The sludge-recycle fluidized sludge layer and raised the activity of the sludge, the optimal sludge-recycle ratio, VS and COD removal ratio were 1,000%, 28.2% and 27.7%, respectively. Through these results of this study, it may be of use to treat waste sludge by the sludge-recycle ratio in terms of minimization and circulation of resources.
