Turbulence Kinetic Energy Budgets of Tip Vortex Generated by a Fixed Wing (고정익 끝완류의 난류 운동에너지 분배 특성)

  • The turbulence structure of e. tip vortex generated by e. fixed wing was investigated with the use of two-dimensional laser Doppler velocimetry. The velocity field, composed of circumferential end axial components, was measured on the vertical section to the vortex trail, located at 2C downstream from the wing tip in the incoming flow condition of $Re=2.24{\times}10^5$. A quasi 3-dimensional measurement technique by use of 2-dimensional LDV system was suggested for Reynolds stresses and the higher moments. The validity of this technique was confirmed with the uncertainty analysis. The budget of the turbulence kinetic energy was analyzed by those results in the radial direction of the vortex core. It is resulted that the production is to be very likely balanced with the dissipation in most range of the vortex core.

  • Rotary mountages are the best mountages among all the mountages that are used in sericultural areas. But to use this mountage more space, separate mounting hall & requires more labour to pickup the matured worms. to over come these problems, self mounting method is adopted to save the time Er labour, But the mounting rate is generally less. To accelerate the mounting rate different repellents viz; saw dust, phytoecdysone, 1% cresol with paddy husk, lime, kaolin, gormalin chaff were used in the present study. The results indicated that highest number of larvae climbed the mountage in 1% cresol with paddy husk, followed by phytoecdysone and lime. It is observed that the use of repellents at wandering stage accilerates mounting rate and did not affect the quality of the cocoons and reeling characters.

The Correlation between Problematic Behaviors and Activities of Daily Living of Elderly People with Dementia in Patients in a Geriatric Hospital

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the correlations between problematic behaviors and activities of daily living(ADL) targeting 106 demented elderly people hospitalized in a geriatric hospital. To examine the cognitive function of the subjects, the study used Korean Mini Mental State Examination(K-MMSE). For problematic behaviors and ADL, the study collected data based on Patient Assessment Forms in the geriatric hospital. Among problematic behaviors, apathy/indifference had the highest correlation with the items of ADL. Irritability/lability, agitation/aggression, depression/ dysphoria, night-time behavior and wandering also showed to be correlated to items of ADL(p<.05). This study demonstrated that cognitive function, problematic behaviors and ADL of the demented elderly hospitalized in the geriatric hospital are correlated to each other.

  • Micro drilling is used in the production of fuel injection nozzle, watch, camera, air bearing and pinted circuit boards(PCB) are demanded for high precision. Recently industries of precision production require more small hole, high aspect ratio and high speed working for micro deep hole drilling. But the undesirable characteristics of micro drilling is the small signal to noise ratios, wandering motion of drill, high aspect ratio and the increase of cutting force as cutting depth increase. So in this paper to obtain the optimization of cutting condition a study on the characteristics of micro deep hole drilling used Tool dynamometer is proposed.

  • To spread the incredible experience of wandering around a building, we propose the architecture of indoor navigation system based on inter-floor. Firstly, we combine trilateration method with Fingerprint Positioning Algorithm for positioning and Dijkstra Algorithm for calculating paths. Then the system can get the user's current locations and provide relevant paths according to the user's choice. Moreover, it can also provide the navigation path which takes the inter-floor information into consideration. It breaks the traditional navigation based on planar graph and has abundant business value.

A study on caregiving situations and resources for adjustment among family caregivers of the elderly with dementia (치매노인 가족의 부양상황과 적응자원에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify caregiving situations and to examine resources for adjustment among family caregivers of the elderly with dementia. Thereby the study can provide the basic information for the development of education programs for family caregivers through in-depth interview. The main result of this study was as follows : 1) The major problems identified by family caregivers I caring for the elderly with dementia were related to care recipient's toileting and to care recipient's confusion and wandering. 2) The family caregiver expressed feelings of burden including chronic fatigue, depression, guilt and frustration. 3) The factors influencing the adjustment of family caregivers for demented elderly were quality of relationship, motivation for caregiving, circumstances of caregiving, social support and coping strategies.

  • In this study, Independent Component Analysis (ICA) algorithms are suggested to extract the original ECG part from the mixed signal contaminated with the unwanted frequency components and especially 60Hz power line disturbances. With this aim, we implement a novel method to suppress the baseline-wandering disturbances and power line artefacts contained in patch-electrodes sensory ECG data by separating the unmixed signal with finding the optimal weight W based on Kurtosis value. With applying brutal force and gradient ascent searching algorithm to find W, we can conclude that the unwanted frequency components especially in the ambulatory ECG data can be eliminated by Independent Component Analysis.

  • An wearable electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring system is a widely used non-invasive diagnostic tool for ambulatory patient who may be at risk from latent life-threatening cardiac abnormalities. In this paper, we have a portable ECG monitoring system with conductive fiber which was characterized by the small-size and the low power consumption. The system consists of conductive fibers, one-chip microcontroller, ECG preprocessing circuit, and monitoring software to be able to record and analyze in PC. ECG preprocessing circuit is made of pre-amplifier with gain of 10, band-pass filter with bandwidth of 0.5-120Hz and 2.5V offset circuit for A/D conversion. ECG signals obtained by sensor are included with corrupted noises such as a baseline wandering, 60 Hz power noise and interference noise by body movement. For cancellation corrupted noises in signals obtained by conductive fiber, we used the wavelet decomposition of wavelet transforms in MATLAB toolbox.

  • 온라인 교육이 지속적으로 발전하면서 학습자 수도 빠르게 증가하고 있다. 동영상 콘텐츠기반의 단방향적인 지직전달 방식인 온라인 학습에서는 학습자의 주의집중 여부가 학습 효과 및 학습 전략에 있어서 중요한 요인이다. 하지만 이에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 본 논문은 온라인 교육에서 학습자의 주의집중을 판단할 수 있는 시스템의 주의집중 판단 단어 자동생성 모델을 설계하고 제안하였다. 학습자가 동영상 콘텐츠를 시청하면 시청중인 콘텐츠의 단어와 기존에 학습했던 모든 콘텐츠의 단어를 호출하여 단어별 가중치 값을 계산하고 상위 단어들을 주의집중 판단 단어 셋으로 자동 생성한다. 생성된 주의집중 판단 단어 셋은 주의집중 판단 시스템에서 적용되어 학습자들이 동영상 콘텐츠에 단어가 노출되었는지 아닌지를 판단함으로써 학습자의 주의집중 여부를 빠르게 판단할 수 있다.
