  • The twenty-first century revealed the era of cultural contents with the growth of digital cultures. Accordingly, popular culture became the primary sector of the cultural industry, and among them, the roads on which people walk emerged as great content for the leisure and tourist industry. Walking has already become a commercial good, as each road's story is unique enough to attract numerous tourists. On roads are the development of history, movement of life, and various cultural channels. The old road development project contributes to the revitalization of the neighborhood and increases its competitiveness as cultural content, as it restores the ecological nature and rediscovers the value of the road from history and its culture. For Gangwon-do's road development project, a storytelling strategy is necessary to succeed as cultural tourism content. Specifically, when forming an image of the old roads, it is advantageous to develop a new story that suits modern people's aesthetic taste and lead communication between locals and tourists rather than borrowing and utilizing the existing facts. For instance, it is helpful to recreate the nostalgic and sentimental mood and combine the imagination based on the consumers' humanistic experiences to create their own participation. This paper demonstrates the historical value of the roads in Gangwon-do, precedents of other leading road development projects in South Korea, and development plans by storytelling for cultural contents in Gangwon-do.

  • As a large amount of data is produced in each industry, a number of time series pattern prediction studies are being conducted to make quick business decisions. However, there is a limit to predicting specific patterns in nonlinear time series data due to the uncertainty inherent in the data, and there are difficulties in making strategic decisions in corporate management. In addition, in recent decades, various studies have been conducted on data such as demand/supply and financial markets that are suitable for industrial purposes to predict time series data of irregular random walk models, but predict specific rules and achieve sustainable corporate objectives There are difficulties. In this study, the prediction results were compared and analyzed using the Chaos analysis method for roulette data and financial market data, and meaningful results were derived. And, this study confirmed that chaos analysis is useful for finding a new method in analyzing time series data. By comparing and analyzing the characteristics of roulette games with the time series of Korean stock index future, it was derived that predictive power can be improved if the trend is confirmed, and it is meaningful in determining whether nonlinear time series data with high uncertainty have a specific pattern.

  • It is important to create a decent pedestrian space in order to realize a public space that can ultimately improve the quality of life based on guaranteeing people's right to move while also enhancing urban activity. The goal of this study is to develop a pedestrian path evaluation system in order to lay the foundation for data construction leading to the creation of such elegant walking space. First, a basic system was established in keeping with factors and the space, and this system was used as the basic framework of the study. The trends identified in the literature can be divided into eight categories, denoted here as: Walking safety policy, Walking focused plan, Recognition transition, Transportaion system, Activity-linked walking, Facility utilization walking, Nature and history linked walking and Content convergence walking. The macro- and micro-indices and factors mentioned in related studies were synthesized and classified, and the basis for universality and differentiation was established by integrating them. Next, according to the basic composition of the walking system, Walking potential and slope safety in the Safety category, Basic walking connectivity and Traffic linkage in the Efficiency category, Walking arrangement and Rest convenience in the Health category, and Resource connectivity and Activity abundance in the Comfortability category macro evaluation system of the eight categories were established and a corresponding measurement method was developed.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify how education and activities of urban forest healing programs affect emotional rest (healing recovery environment awareness, restoration of attention, and leisure life satisfaction). To this end, 38 people were divided into experimental groups (forest healing program education and practice), and control groups (non-program participation). As a result of the study, in the case of the experimental group, emotional rest factors such as healing recovery environment perception, attention recovery, and satisfaction with leisure activities after the program were statistically significantly improved, and in the case of the control group, there was no change in emotional rest after the program. In addition, there were differences between groups in both pre and post regarding the difference in emotional rest between the participant groups, and the difference in emotional rest afterwards was much larger than the pre-difference. In conclusion, people who receive regular education on forest healing and have done actual forest healing activities experience higher emotional rest than those who do not. This suggests that continuous motivation and regular practice can raise awareness of the healing recovery environment, promote attention recovery, and have a positive effect on leisure life through appropriate programs rather than simply taking a walk.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between depression due to the COVID-19 pandemic and park use behaviors using on line posts. During the period of the pandemic prevention activities, text data containing both 'park' and 'depression' were collected from blogs and cafes in the search engine of Naver and Daum, then analyzed using Text Mining and Social Network techniques. As a result, the main usage behaviors of park users who mentioned depression were 'look', 'stroll(walk)' and 'eat'. Other types of behaviors were connected centering around 'look', one of the communication behaviors. Also, from CONCOR analysis, as the cluster referred from communication behavior and dynamic behavior was formed as a single behavior type, it was considered park users with depression perceived the park as the space for communication and physical activities. As the spread of COVID-19 caused the restriction of communication activities, the users might consider parks as one of the solutions. In addition, it was considered that passive usage behaviors have prevailed rather than active ones due to the depression. Resulting outcomes would be useful to plan helpful urban park for citizens. It is necessary to further analyze the park use behavior of users in relation to the period of before/after the COVID-19 pandemic and the existence/nonexistence of depression.

  • In order to secure pedestrians' right to walk, we have up-cycled second hand mobile phones to overcome limitations of the existing survey methods, analysis methods, and diagnosis to reduce pedestrian traffic accidents. Second hand mobile phones were up-cycled to produce mobile CCTVs and installed in areas where pedestrian deaths rate is high to secure image data sets for the period of more than 24 hours. It was analyzed by applying image visualization technology and clouding reporting technology, and more precise and accurate results were derived through modeling based on artificial intelligence learning and GIS-based diagnostic guidance. As a result, it was possible to analyze the risk factors and number of pedestrian safety, and even factors that were not known in the existing method could be derived. In addition, the traffic accident risk index was derived by converting data into one year to verify whether second hand mobile phone up-cycling mobile CCTV will be an objective tool for finding pedestrian risk factors. Up-cycling mobile CCTV of second hand mobile phones newly applied through research can be used as a new tool to find pedestrian risk factors, and it can be used as a service to protect the safety of the traffic vulnerable other than pedestrians.

  • The rapid change of the culture and art environment is led to new art & cultural education and differences in culture and art education facilities, away from the traditional closed space culture and art education. Phenomena such as plays out of the theater, exhibitions out of the art museum, and pictures taking a walk indicate that cultural and artistic educational facilities can no longer stay in the existing paradigm and are changing along with the changes in the cultural and creative world. Therefore, to develop a site-specific theater education program centered around a specific place rather than a theater or studio, in line with the changing times of cultural and artistic educational facilities, this researcher analyzes Brecht's radio play experiment and the recent performative performance experiment. Furthermore, using the regional and community values of arts and culture education confirmed as the motive for research on site-specific theater programs, I analyze the implementation and application process by experimenting with theater programs out of the theaters and studios. As a prior study, research on site-specific performances is being conducted relatively actively, but earlier studies were dealing only with the Ligna group performance cases are lacking. However, I would like to use the previous research on site-specific performance cases as an epistemological background. As a result of the study, for the place-specific theater program through a total of 10 learners, a text based on a specific place was created that did not depend on traditional literary texts. Through this, the possibility of a site-specific theater education program could be confirmed.

  • Objectives: This study reported about a patient with a right middle cerebral artery infarction whose gait disturbance was improved by Korean medicine treatment. Methods: The patient was treated with a Korean herbal medicine (Gami-yukmijihwang-tang) along with acupuncture, electroacupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, and physical therapy. The treatment effect was evaluated with the manual muscle test (MMT) and the Korean version of the modified Barthel index (K-MBI). The gait of the patient was evaluated by a 10-m walk test (10MWT), the timed up and go (TUG) test, the functional ambulation profile (FAP) score, and the functional ambulatory category (FAC) score. Spatiotemporal parameters were evaluated using a walkway system (GAITRite®, CIR Systems, Inc., USA). Results: After 83 days of traditional Korean medicine treatment, the K-MBI and FAC scores improved from 50 to 70 and from 1 to 4, respectively. The 10MWT and TUG tests also improved from 24.86 to 16.66 sec and from 22.35 to 17.62 sec, respectively. GAITRite® measurements reflected gait improvements: the FAP score improved from 55 to 86 sec; the step time improved from 0.72 to 0.669 sec; the step length improved from 31.076 cm to 41.284 cm; the gait velocity improved from 42.8 cm/sec to 64.1 cm/sec; the cadence improved from 93.6 steps/min to 90.8 steps/min. No adverse effects resulting from treatment or evaluation occurred during the admission period. Conclusions: This study suggests that traditional Korean medicine treatment may reduce symptoms and improve the quality of life in patients with cerebral infarction.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of coordinative locomotor training (CLT) program on the balance for the promotion of life care of elderly obese women. Ten participants of elderly obese women who were able to walk independently without surgery experience of lumbar, hip or knee joint within the past year were recruited and under went the pretest, CLT (20 sessions), followed by the post-test. The test included BMI test using In-body, joint kinematics using myoVIDEO, muscle activation using surface EMG test (erector spinae (ER), external oblique abdominalis (EO), quadriceps femoris (Quad), hamstring muscle (Ham)) and balance tests including dynamic balance test using forced treadmill, Berg balance scale (BBS) and timed up go (TUG). The CLT program was conducted 60 minutes a day, 5 days a week, over 4 weeks period. As a result of this study, The the trunk and hip joints kinematics during the stance and swing phases of gait were a statistical significance levels were set at p <0.05. The ER and EO muscle activation were significantly improved after intervention (p <0.05). The length of gait line and single support line of change of center of pressure (COP) were significantly increased after intervention (p <0.05). The BBS and TUG were also significantly enhanced after intervention (p <0.05). The results of this study showed that CLT program for the improvement of life care had significant effects on improving postural instability, muscle weakness, reduced balance ability and falling risk of obese elderly women. Therefore, it is recommended to apply CLT program to improve life-care through improving balance ability and preventing fall of obese elderly women.
