  • Present time, the mobile telecommunication companies of our country are still using independence wireless internet platform. So, this carry many difficulties to the phone company and content provider company. Because even they develop one product and they must make it prepare for some platform of every mobile telecommunication companies. And this make the development more longer and more expensive. For this reason, SKT, LG telecom and KTF develop the new wireless internet platform named WIPI with ETRI. and the working is still go on and go ahead with propulsion. And if it come to reality, the WIPI will attached from much of attack such as hacking or virus. But some data exchange between mobile phone is so important as to flow. Thus, in this paper, we are design and implementation the data encryption system working at the WIPI in order to protect the data, we want to protect.

  • 이동통신사업자인 KTF가 지난달 16일 국내 무선인터넷 표준 플랫폼인 WIPI 상용서비스를 시작하면서 본격적인 WIPI 시대가 개막됐다. 이번 KTF의 WIPI 서비스 개시는 국내 콘텐츠 제공업체와 단말기 제조업체의 중복투자 방지와 콘텐츠, 단말기 개발 용이, 가입자들에 제공하는 타사 가입자와의 네트워크 게임, 채팅, 메신저 등과 같은 양방향 네트워크 서비스 가능 등의 측면에서 향후 국내 모바일 콘텐츠 시장에 적지 않은 변화를 가져올 전망이다. 향후 콘텐츠 시장의 흐름을 전망하기 이전에 WIPI의 개요와 특징, 앞으로의 과제 등에 대해 살펴봤다.

  • It is possible to transfer huge data in mobile device by advancing mobile technology, and so in this base, various services are offered. Especially, E-commerce service is offering on mobile environment, and this service is based on XML(eXtensible Markup Language) Signature. XML Signature assure that process integrity, message authentication, and/or signer authentication. And WIPI(Wireless Internet Protocol for Interoperability) that is mobile internet integration platform was proposed to integrate mobile device platform. However, because WIPI transmits and exchanges message by tort of XML base, encryption of XML document and necessity of XML signature are increasing because of weakness of security. Therefor in this paper, Encryption and XML signature module of XML document that satisfy standard requirement in WIPI platform base design and implementation. System that was proposed in this paper used standard encryption and XML signature algorithm and supports safe encryption and XML signature through doing security simulation applied various algorithm for XML document of mobile environment.

  • The implementation of cellular phone based applications have been growing very fast because of WIPI which is a hardware independent platform. In this paper, we design and Implement a system to combine the animation avatar and e-mail service by using WIPI platform. Also, this system manages scheduling at the same time. This system uses SMS service in order to notify scheduled time and it synchronizes the schedule data with Outlook Express on the computer.

  • 기존의 다양한 무선인터넷 플랫폼이 WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability)라는 무선인터넷 플랫폼으로 표준화되면서 무선응용프로그램의 상호 운용성 및 하드웨어에 대한 독립성을 보장할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 WIPI플랫폼 기술이 아직 초기 단계에 머물러 있어 응용프로그램 개발을 위한 API의 지원이 미비하여 다양한 응용프로그램을 개발하기가 힘들다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 개발자에게는 원격 모니터링 및 정보가전 제어 서비스에 대한 API를 제공하고. 사용자에게는 WIPI 단말기를 이용하여 언제 어디서나 무선인터넷에 접속하여 원격 모니터링 및 정보가전 제어 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 WIPI 기반의 원격 모니터링 및 정보가전 제어 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.

  • 무선인터넷을 중심으로 한 휴대폰 단말, 모바일 통합 플랫폼, IMT 2000 관련 기술의 끊임없는 발전으로 가입자들이 급속히 확산되어 가고 있다. 또한 수 년 전부터 무선인터넷 등장과 이로부터 파생되는 전체 산업의 구조 변화가 크게 일어나고 있다. 그리고 현재 IMT 2000은 국내 이동통신사들을 중심으로 본격적인 서비스 준비를 끝내고 도약을 위한 준비가 한창이고 2001년 중반 이후 개발이 시작된 모바일 표준 플랫폼 WIPI(WIPI:Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability)가 국내의 통합 플랫폼으로 자리매김을 하고 있다. 따라서 모바일 표준 플랫폼 WIPI에서도 3D 컨텐츠가 활성화 될 것으로 예상된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 WIPI 기반의 3D API 개발을 위한 설계에 대하여 기술하였다.

  • In this paper, we implemented an e-mail and chat program (client) for communication between mobile devices and PCs based on WIPI a South Korea's open wireless platform form developing device and content independent software to break from the way of developing contents that is dependent on different wireless platforms to each mobile communications company. While traditional e-mail and chat programs are written for PC-to-PC communication, we develop them for mobile-to-PC and mobile-to-mobile communications, and we expect to see various mobile contents in the future.

  • Mobile network evolution and development of USN technologies introduce new business model based on context awareness. Cellular operators provide friend finding service using cell based location information and telematics service using GPS location information. Recently cellular operators provide yellow page service based cell based location information. In this paper, we develop mobile tour application on WIPI platform based on location information. Mobile tour information services provide the best information based on context awareness using user location information from LBSP (Location Based Service Platform), season, weather conditions, time from Web server, and personal preference information stored in database. Mobile tour information service application is developed on WIPI platform.

  • The development of IT related technology has made it possible to offer 'Any Time, Any Where, Any Service' to the users and internet-based service became accessible while on the move through wireless internet service. Moreover, the development of various wireless contents has been provided diverse ioy and convenience to life. However, the existing wireless contents had been subordinate to the wireless internet platform because it had not been set up for a standardized environment. Therefore, repeated developments of contents have been causing waste of resource, time and manpower. This paper aims at suggesting WIPI-bases artificial reefs search contents which have become independent from platform by using JAVA. Artificial reefs facilities are a government project for increasing the revenue of fishermen but only few fishermen know the information about the location of artificial reefs and most of them are not aware of the location of these facilities. There(ore this thesis plans to develop WIPI-bases artificial reefs search contents to provide information such as the location, the depth, and the bottom material to anglers and those fishermen who do not know the location of artificial reefs so that the fishermen can have the opportunity to increase their revenue and also the opportunity to catch a big fish for anglers.

  • According as marine leisure industry has developed and the demand of leisure culture has increased rapidly, a desire about service which supply marine safety and connect marine information is enlarging. The performance of personal mobile device has improved and been evolved by composition terminal. So, it became possible that storage and expression of multimedia information as well as simple communication facility. Domestic wireless internet has given development strain to developer and contents Provider(CP) because of different platform. And this has become hindrance factor of wireless internet activation. But, recently, the use of WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability), the wireless internet standard platform, could use different wireless application programs and also guarantee the independency for hardware. We wish to develop contents of download form that supply geographic information of Electronic Navigational Chart(ENC) in the marine that is digitalized to carrying along terminal of WIPI base and various informations for marine leisure. For this, DB that offer ENC and additional information should be constructed. Also, we need server (CPS; Contents provider Server) that offer required contents. In this paper, we design web retrieval agent which store request information to database. When consumer required necessary information through personal mobile device, CPS can inform that by real time. So, we wish to develop agent component that parse informations in various World Wide Webs, and store to database.
