Design and Analysis of the Wireless LAN Security Model using Block Cipher (블록 암호를 이용한 무선랜 보안 모델)

  • WEP is proposed networks dominate the market in the future wireless LAN encryption and authentication features to provide a secure protocol. However, WEP does not suggest a specific measures when generating the initial values used for the creation cipher text, the initial value problem because tile size and no-encryption if you have been raised about the safety issue. In this paper pointed out the vulnerabilities of WEP and the proposed improvement plan for this improvement was proposed based on the initial value to avoid re-creating the initial value of the system and using a block cipher in CBC mode for confidentiality and to provide mutual authentication New WLAN security model was proposed.

Application of WEP Model to the Cheonggyecheon Watershed (청계천 유역에 대한 WEP 모형의 적용)

  • Water cycle analysis in the Cheonggyecheon watershed(river length: 13.75 km, area: $50.96\;km^2$) was performed using WEP model, a physically based distributed rainfall-runoff model. As the application results of the model, the hydrological characteristics of the Cheonggyecheon watershed are significantly consistent with those of a typical urbanized watershed. The direct runoff from the watershed was larger and the evapotranspiration. was lower, and the response of runoff to rainfall was occurred very fast, as compared to forest watersheds. The river channel routing simulation results are similar to the change pattern and scale of the field data. The possible supply period of instream flow from Cheonggyecheoon watershed itself was estimated using WEP. According to the WEP simulation results for the annual water balance of the Cheonggyecheon watershed in 2002, the amount of direct runoff, infiltration and evapotranspiration were 830 mm, 388 mm and 397 mm respectively for an annual precipitation of 1,388 mm. The runoff to rivers was 1,288 mm. And the proportion of direct runoff, intermediate runoff and groundwater runoff were $67.6\%,\;12.7\%$ and $19.7\%$ respectively.

  • Purpose: This study was to present the process of web-based educational program (WEP) development and to identify factors affecting satisfaction with WEP for the certificate of healthcare managers working at the National Health Insurance Corporation (NHIC). Methods: Subjects were healthcare managers and voluntary participants of WEP. A total of 1,449 respondents were surveyed through an online questionnaire about their satisfaction with the educational contents and system. Results: The mean contents satisfaction was 3.75 (SO 0.54), and system satisfaction 4.68 (SD 0.54). According to statistical analysis, the type of certification, experience and professional career of health care management affected contents satisfaction. And factors affecting system satisfaction were the type of certification and gender. Conclusion: WEP was utilized as a pre-requisite course for the certificate program of healthcare managers. However, the development of advanced WEP is suggested to meet the educational needs of healthcare managers who have certificate or license and their job related to healthcare management.

  • IEEE 802.11 규격에 따른 무선랜은 사설망에서 사용됨은 물론, 공중망 사업자들에 의한 핫스팟 서비스까지 제공되면서 널리 사용되고 있어, 이에 대한 보안의 중요성이 더욱 커져가고 있다. IEEE 802.1x는 랜 접속 서비스를 받고자 하는 시스템이 인증을 거쳐 망을 사용할 수 있도록 하며, IEEE 802.11 키교환 규격은 무선랜에서 암호화를 위하여 사용되는 WEP 키를 교환할 수 있게 한다. 이를 이용하여 타인이 무단으로 망을 사용하거나 도청하는 것을 막는다. 이러한 시스템의 개발을 위하여 기존의 리눅스 용 access point 디바이스 드라이버에 802.1x 가상 포트를 추가하고, 키 교환을 통한 동적 WEP 적용 기술을 설계, 개발하였다.

  • 1. After 8 weeks of storage, TBARS, VBN and POV values of sausages treated with 0.3% EEP, 0.4% DREEP, 0.2% PS and 0.3% WEP at 4$^{\circ}C$, respectively, lower than that of the control samples. 2. The antioxidative effects of boiled WEP was stronger than room temperature WEP. 3. The results show that materials with low boiling point contain strong antioxidant compounds. 4. EEP, WEP and DREEP can serve as good chemical preservatives of pook meat products and can promote human health because they are naturally produced.

  • Monocytes and macrophages playa major role in defense mechanism of the host response to tumor, in part through the secretion of several potent products and macrophage cytokines. Monocytes and tissue macro phages produce at least two groups of protein mediators of inflammation, interleukin 1 (IL-1) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF). Recent studies emphasizes that TNF and IL-1 modulate the inflammatory function of endothelial cells, leukocytes, and fibroblasts. In this study, our work is directed toward studying the in vitro effects of Korean propolis on the ability to induce cellular and secretory responses in murine macrophage cell line, RAW 264.7. It was found that Water Extract of Korean Propolis (WEP) could activate macro phages by producing cytokines. The production of the macrophage cytokines, IL-1 and TNF-$\alpha$, by RAW 264.7 treated with WEP was examined from 2.5 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml up to 25 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml with dose dependent manner. Nitric oxide (NO) production was also increased when cells were exposed to combination of LPS and WEP from 2.5 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml up to 25 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml. At high dose of WEP (50 to 100 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml) used to prescribe for anti-inflammatory and analgesic medicine showed inhibition of NO production in LPS-stimulated macrophage. Besides cytokine production, NO release, surface molecule expression and cell morphologic antigen expression were increased in response to the stimulation by WEP. These results suggested WEP may function through macrophage activation.

  • 도시지역은 도시형 수해발생, 갈수시의 급수안전도 저하, 평시 하천유량의 감소, 공공수역의 수질악화, 지하수 오염 등 여러가지 문제에 직면하고 있다. 개발로 인한 수환경의 피해를 최소화하기 위한 대안적인 설계방안이 필요하며, 이를 위해서는 개발 전후 물순환 환경 변화에 대한 정량적인 해석이 가장 우선적으로 수행되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라와 일본에서 도시유역에의 적용이 활발한 물리적 개념의 분포형 수문모형인 WEP(Water and Energy transfer Process) 모형을 통해 행정중심복합도시 개발 전후의 물순환 변화를 해석하였다. 정밀한 해석을 위해 대상유역을 100m 크기의 정방형 격자로 구분하고 기상 조건, 지표면 조건, 하천, 토양, 지하대수층, 농업용수 이용 등 물순환에 관련된 광범위한 입력자료는 기존 측정 자료 및 관련 문헌, 현장 조사를 통해 각각 구축하였다. 모의의 전 후처리는 WEP+를 통해 수행되었는데, WEP+는 WEP 모형의 방대한 양의 입력자료를 효과적으로 구축하고, 다양한 시계열 및 공간분포 출력자료를 효과적으로 분석할 수 있는 인터페이스를 지닌 전 후처리 프로그램이다. 개발로 인한 물순환 변화는 절성토로 인한 지형 및 토양 조건 변화, 토지이용 및 용수이용 변화에 대한 개발 계획을 모형 입력자료로 구축한 후, 개발전과 동일한 기상조건과 초기 모의조건 하에서 각각 11년간 모의하여 수문 요소 변화를 비교하는 방법을 사용하였다. 물순환 해석 결과는 개발 전후 모의에 대해 유황곡선 및 물수지, 수문요소 공간분포 비교를 통해 수행하였다.

  • The impervious area on the surface of urban area has been increased as buildings and artificial land cover have continually been increased. Urban development has gradually decreased the green zone in downtown and alienated the city from the natural environment on outskirt area devastating the natural ecosystem. There arise the environmental problems to urban area including urban heat island phenomenon, urban flood, air pollution and urban desertification. As one of urban plans to solve such problems, green roof system is attracting attentions. The purpose of this study was to investigate flood discharge and heat reduction effect according to the green roof system and to quantify effect by analyzing through simulation water and heat cycle before and after green roof system. For the analysis, Distributed hydrologic model, WEP (Water and Energy transfer Processes) and WEP+ model were used. WEP was developed by Dr. Jia, the Public Works Research Institute in Japan (Jia et al., 2005), which can simulate water and heat cycle of an urban area with complex land uses including calculation of spatial and temporal distributions of water and heat cycle components. The WEP+ is a visualization and analysis system for the WEP model developed by Korea Institute of Construction Technology (KICT).

  • IEEE 802.11i is an amendment to the original IEEE 802.11/b,a,g standard specifying security mechanism by stipulating RSNA for tighter security. The RSNA uses TKIP(Temporal Key Integrity Protocol) and CCMP(Counter with CBC-MAC Protocol) instead of old-fashioned WEP(Wired Equivalent Privacy) for data encryption. This paper describes a design of a communication security engine for IEEE 802.11i MAC layer. The design includes WEP and TKIP modules based on the RC4 encryption algorithm, and CCMP module based on the AES encryption algorism. The WEP module suffices for compatibility with the IEEE 802.11 b,a,g MAC layer. The CCMP module has about 816.7Mbps throughput at 134MHz, hence it satisfies maximum 600Mbps data rate described in the IEEE 802.11n specifications. We propose a pipelined AES-CCMP cipher core architecture, which has lower hardware cost than existing AES cores, because CBC mode and CTR mode operate at the same time.

THE CHEONGGYE-CHEON ESTORATION PROJECT AND HYDROLOGICAL CYCLE ANALYSIS

  • This paper introduces the Cheonggye-cheon restoration project. The restoration project aims to revive the 600-year-old city of Seoul by recovering the historical heritage, guaranteeing safety from the deteriorated covering structures, creating the environment-friendly space, and revitalizing the neglected city centers. In order to understand the current hydrological cycle of the Chenggye-cheon watershed, the annual water balance of the region was calculated using the observed data including precipitation, runoff, water supply and sewage, and the changes in the groundwater level. The $2001{\sim}2002$ data were used to calibrate the WEP, and the $2003{\sim}2004$ data were used to verify the WEP. The calibration and validation results for the flood hydrograph how a reasonable value (at Majanggyo station, the R2 for the calibration period was 0.9, and that for the validation period was 0.7). According to the annual water balance of the Cheonggye-cheon watershed for 2004, the amount of surface runoff, infiltration, and evapotranspiration was 1,097mm, 216mm and 382mm, respectively, for an annual precipitation of 1,499mm. The application results from WEP, a distributed hydrological model, provide more detailed information of the watershed, and the model will be useful for improving the hydrological cycle in urban watershed.
