  • 본 논문은 조명용 RGB LED 구동 장치를 위한 새로운 방식의 Two-stage RGB LED 구동 회로를 제안한다. 제안된 회로는 PFC Flyback Converter의 다중 출력을 이용하여 LED 구동 회로의 전압 스트레스를 줄이면서 효율을 높일 수 있는 새로운 방식의 LED 구동회로이다. 제안된 회로는 Universal Input에서 25W 이상 조명 장치에 적용되는 IEC61000-3-2 Class C 규제를 만족하며, RGB LED의 개별적인 Digital Dimming을 사용하여 다양한 색을 구현할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 제안된 회로의 동작 원리를 설명하고, 시뮬레이션 및 RGB LED에 실제 적용 실험하여 제안 회로의 유용성을 입증하였다.

국외 LED 중.대형 등명기 개발 동향

  • 현재 국내 등명기는 대부분 국내 관련업체의 연구개발에 의하여 국산화하고 있으나 대부분 소형 등명기에 소출력 LED Type을 적용하는 수준이다. 최근 고출력 LED 광원은 급격한 광효율 향상(150lm/W)과 가격경쟁력 확보를 통하여 기존 광원 대체를 가속화 하고 있는 상황에서 국내 등명기 관련업체의 LED 등명기 기술개발 수준은 해양 선진국에 크게 미치지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 특히 국내의 20해리(M)이상 광달거리를 요구하는 중 대형 등명기에 LED 광원을 적용하기 위한 LED 광원설계기술, 광학설계, 방열설계 및 항로표지용 등기구 설계 기술 개발 수준은 국제 규격을 만족하기에 매우 미흡한 상황이다. 이에 해양선진국의 LED 광원을 적용하는 중 대형등명기 개발현황 및 동향을 분석하였다.

  • LEDs have been widely used in lighting displays, automobiles, and airplanes owing to their excellent light output characteristics and long lifespan. Though LEDs are manufactured under the same process, variations in impurity concentrations cause electrical deviation among LEDs. The resulting electrical deviation can not only reduce the life time of the LED but also cause non-uniform luminance of LEDs connected in parallel. LED driving circuit is required to solve these problems. In this paper, we propose a LED driving system using Y-type current balancing transformer to maximize the efficiency of the system by removing output stage Schottky diodes. Experimental results are presented to verify the performance of proposed LED driving system that is applied to 80 W LED modules.

  • 현재 조명용 LED 광원모듈의 세계시장규모는 약 200억불로 Osram, GE, Philips 등의 다국적기업이 시장의 70-80%를 독점하고 있으며, 국내업체는 기술력 부족 등으로 세계 시장진입을 못하고 있는 실정이다. 국내시장 규모는 약 6,000억원 규모로 약 80%이상을 Osram, GE, Philips 등으로부터 수입하고 있는 실정이다. 특히, 백색조명용 LED 광원모듈은 세계적으로 기술개발 단계이거나 시장진입 초기로서 동 개발제품의 기술을 국내업체가 이전해 온다면 반도체 조명시장 조기진입 및 세계시장 선점에도 크게 기여 할 것으로 예상된다. 우리나라에서도 차기 LED조명시장을 염두에 두고 한국광기술원을 중심으로 연구에 박차를 가하고 있다. LED/반도체조명연구사업부가 개발한 2,500 루멘급 백색조명용 LED 광원모듈 시제품의 개발 성공은 백색조명용 LED 광원모듈의 핵심 원천기술 확보에 한발 더 나아가 결과이며, 시제품 개발결과가 조명제품으로 이어진다면 2010년에는 3,000억원의 무역역조가 개선될 것으로 전망하고 있다. 또한, 국내 최초로 개발된 3mW급 380nm UV(자외선) LED는 위폐감지기, 살균기 등 의료.환경.바이오산업 등에 적용 가능하며, 조명용 백색 LED 제작을 위한 펌핑광원으로 활용이 가능하다. 아울러 20mW 급 380nm UV LED 개발이 완료되는 2008년에는 반도체조명산업과 의료/환경산업 등에 활용되어 약 연 10억불 이상의 수입대체 효과를 가져 올 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. 한국광기술원 LED/반도체조명연구사업부는 다양한 LED 광원모듈의 연구개발을 통해 원천기술을 확보하고 LED광원 모듈의 국산화에 일익을 담당하고 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 LED(light emitting diode)를 사용한 일반 조명에서부터 자동차 조명에 대한 LED, CNT(carbon nano-tube), OLED조명의 융합기술 현황에 대하여 살펴보았다. 정부의 15/30보급정책의 일환인 LED조명 시범보급사업(부산 및 대전 지하철역사, 김대중 컨벤션센터, 대구 및 대전 우체국 등)과 한국산업규격(KS C 7651-3)의 제정 등으로 LED 응용 조명은 시장에서의 사용으로 기존 조명기기와의 경쟁력이 예상된다.

  • The research on solar energy that we get from nature to cope with energy exhaustion is a very significant and inevitable task for us to do. Along with this, lately, in Korea, as part of new growth engine industry regarding low-carbon green growth, we have selected the LED(Light Emitting Diode) as low power consuming, eco-friendly lighting equipment and have been facilitating research and development on it and creating a variety of new industries utilizing it. What was developed here in this research was the photovoltaic LED lighting system applying lithium polymer batteries equipped with the excellent performance of lithium ion batteries as well as significantly low explosive hazard. Its photovoltaic panel was made to have 100W capacity, and for its power supply system, functional convenience was considered so that it could be equipped with both DC and AC power to be used as household electricity in a variety of ways.

  • In this paper, We proposes multipurpose function electronic measurement reference station prototype system based on LED and Gyro Sensor. This system have developed to possible with real time data collection and landscape illumination and surrounding diastrophism monitoring for that analyze problems of existing planted reference station. Hardware for the proposed system consists of a gyro sensor module to detect diastrophism, GPS module to process location information, environment sensor module to process surrounding environmental data and CDMA wireless data communication to send the collected data to server. In addition, this paper intends to enhance system management and future usability in a way that applies LED, QR-code, RFID and Solar cell module to outer side of electronic measurement reference station to improve usability of H/W for electronic measurement reference station. Lastly, this paper conducted current amount evaluation to supply stabilized electricity with its various functions in the proposed multipurpose function electronic measurement reference station and it's proved that this system can be stably operated with its electricity loss factor of 2.29% loss factor. And this paper conducted a qualitative comparison with existing electronic measurement reference station system in order to evaluate superiority of the proposed electronic measurement reference station.

  • Hybrid supercapacitors with high power density and long cycle life are widely used for emergency power source of LED emergency luminaires. In this paper, we designed and fabricated a hybrid capacitor cell and a module for the LED emergency luminaires. Using hybrid supercapacitor cells (1,000 F, 2.8 V), we designed a module in a 10-year warranty considering aging and ESR. Considering the ESR and efficiency has been designed to module with 1,000 F 5.6 V design results in 2 series and 2 parallel combination. Module was used to confirm that the operation 77.5 minutes at room temperature, discharge LED emergency luminaires with 2 W. As a LED emergency luminaires of emergency power supply that we can support more than 10 years of life was confirmed the applicability of hybrid supercapacitor.

  • This paper presents an LED lighting which can control its color temperature. It consists of a power factor correction (PFC) circuit, an LED driver, and an LED color control circuit. The proposed system can adjusts the light intensity to obtain a desired color with independently changeable illuminance. The power factor of the PFC circuit is 98%. The LED driver has 90% efficiency at 300mA output current. The output power of the experimented LED lighting is 150 W. The achieved color temperature range was from 3000K to 7500K, and the illumination one was from 500 lux to 1500 lux.

  • LED lighting is sensitive because it made by semiconductor. So it has been researched about radiation of heat technologies for a long time. In addition, measurement and assessment a radiation of heat also conducted. It is necessary to get a date of accuracy temperature on the board after LED driven for measuring Junction temperature of the LED Lighting. For this research, we use 5 chip which is 4 W power on top of LED lighting board made by aluminum. Thermal camera effects to emissivity depending on material and property of the surface in LED board because it determines thermal energy which emitted from material surface. it is not only thermal camera has not a standard about emissivity. It has an error of temperature when emissivity was measured by thermal camera. we confirmed that emissivity and reflected temperature depending on color and quality of the surface throughout experiment.
