Korean fisheries societies have had many difficulties for economic, social, and living circumstances. The government has tried many projects to improve these circumstances. But the results of the projects did not come up to his expectation. Recently, blue tourism is emerging as an alternative for improving these circumstances. So we applied a tourism value chain model for identifying what value activities and resources needed. According to the tourism value chain model, it was identified that there were six different value activities, i. e. advertising, reserving, moving, experiencing, returning, and after services of blue tourism. To identify which of the resources are sufficient or not in Korean blue tourism, we compared the required resources with actual ones. It was identified that Korean fisheries societies have so sufficient H/W related resources, but not IT related S/W resources, humanware-based resources, some industrial H/W resources and sociocultural resources. Therefore, Korean blue tourism will be activated, we have to concentrate our efforts on supplementing some scant blue tourism resources, i.e. S/W and humanware related resources and developing a variety of tourism programs to H/W resources. Generally, sustainable tourism needs all of S/W, H/W, and humanware resources. So we suggest several policies for the aspects of S/W, H/W, and humanware resources to activate blue tourism. But before carrying these policies out, they should be tested by field studies. And tourism motivations will be also studied because effective tourism marketing is impossible without an understanding of consumers' motivations.
The stabilities of O/W emulsions (lipophilic core material:lipophobic wall material=3:2, w/w) containing various kinds of emulsifiers were compared to determine the optimal conditions of the HLB (hydrophilic lipophilic balance) value, the concentration and composition of emulsifier, the ratio of core material to the wall material, and the concentration and composition of polymers in the wall material. The effect of different chemical types of emulsifiers and the influence of single vs. binary emulsifier systems were compared with 13 kinds of emulsifier HLB values of $0.6{\sim}16.7$ at the concentration of 0.50%(w/w). The emulsion system was stable (more than 99.0 of ESI value) when the HLB value of the emulsifier was more than 11.0 or less than 2.8 of emulsifier HLB value. But it was unstable (less than 40.0 of ESI value) at the HLB value of the emulsifier between 3.4 and 8.6. Especially, we could find out the emulsion containing the emulsifier of polyglycerol polyricinoleate (PGPR, HLB 0.6) became stable creamy state. And, the ESI value of binary emulsifier system containing 0.25%(w/w) of PGPR and 0.25%(w/w) of polyoxyethylene sorbitan monolaurate (PSML, HLB 16.7) was higher than that of any single emulsifier system at the concentration of 0.50%(w/w). The highest emulsion stability was obtained in the liquefied wall material composed of 0.25%(w/v) of waxy corn starch and 0.50%(w/v) of agar.

We designed capacitance sensor in order to examine characteristics of W/O type emulsified fuel, so it concluded the following conclusions. The capacitance value of emulsified fuel, using with capacitance sensor, increases as water content increases due to the coalescence. When surfactant increases, the capacitance value decreases, the condition of W/O type emulsified fuel was maintained stably. There was revealed the capacitance value difference of W/O type emulsified fuel in in according to water content. We checked the phase separation of emulsified fuel with the capacitance value difference. The surfactant(HLB=5.4) had better stable condition than surfactant(HLB=4.3). Also, we confirmed that two mixture surfactants were better than one surfactant.
The stability of W/O emulsions (milk fat : water=4 : 1, w/w) containing various emulsifiers was compared to determine the effect of different chemical types of emulsifiers in relation to the change of HLB value caused by emulsifier type and the influence of single vs. binary emulsifier systems. These variables were compared at emulsifier HLB values of 0.5~16.7 and at emulsifier concentrations of 1.0~3.0%(w/w). Eleven emulsifiers used as 11 different single mixtures and 16 different binary mixtures were evaluated in W/O type emulsion systems containing 20.0%(w/w) of water in milk fat. This W/O emulsion was stable (more than 90.0 of ESI value) in the range of low value of emulsifier HLB (less than 4.7 of HLB value). All the ESI values of binary emulsifier systems were higher than those of single emulsifier systems. But, the influence pattern of emulsifier HLB on this emulsion stability in single emulsifier systems was very similar to the trend in binary emulsifier systems.
Mechanical properties and hand evaluation of wool/acrylic(W/A) blend knits were conducted before and after repeated washing to get the optimum W/A blending ratio, which could help achieve the optimum mechanical and hand properties of the knits. The five test fabrics using the yarns with different W/A blending ratios($\%$), 100/0, 70/30, 50/50, 30/70, 0/100, were knitted. The fabrics were washed by a rotating drum type washing machine. Then, objective mechanical and hand properties were evaluated by KES-FB, Kawabata evalution system for fabric. The results are as follows: there was no change in the hand value of the knitted fabric with the W/A-blended yarn caused by the change in the blending ratio before washing. After washing, however, the increase of acrylic's blending rate caused the bending property to decrease proportionally, while the friction coefficient of the surface property increased. Furthermore, the study showed that W/A 50/50 possesses the most superior tensile property and shearing property, which could attain the optimum blending ratio. Similar results in hand value were derived in all the samples. After washing, however, the increase in acrylic's blending rate caused a proportional decrease in KOSHI and an increase in FUKURAMI. In addition, W/A 50/50 gained the biggest NUMERI value, again corresponding to the optimum blending ratio. Similar results in total hand value were derived in all the samples before washing. After washing, though, all the total hand values decreased, and, as the wool fabric's blending rate increased, the total hand values proportionally decreased further.
In this study, poly isocyanurate foam (PIR), poly urethane foam (PUR), and phenol foam (PF) of organic insulation materials were selected, and investigated using a cone calorimeter, as per ISO 5660-1. Standard materials (PMMA) were used to standardize the fire hazard assessment, and the fire risk was classified and evaluated by Chung's equations-III and IV. The fire performance index-II value of Chung's equations-II was the highest value with PF of 14.77 s2/kW. And the PUR was 0.08 s2/kW, the lowest value of fire performance index-II value. The fire growth index-II value was the lowest value with PF of 0.01 kW/s2. And the PUR was 1.14 kW/s2, the highest value of fire growth index-II value. The fire performance index-III (FPI-III) of Chung's equations-III had the lowest value for PUR (0.11) and the highest for PF (20.23). The PUR showed the highest value of the fire growth index-III (FGI-III) as 14.25, while the PF exhibited 0.13 regarded as the safest materials. The fire risk index-IV (FRI-IV) value of Chung's equation-IV was in the following order: PUR (130.03) >> PIR (19.13) > PMMA (1.00) > PF (0.01). Therefore, it was concluded that the fire risk associated with PF is the lowest, whereas that associated with PUR is the highest.
The present work has attempted to investigate the dependence of Cu infiltration kinetics on in-situ structure modification of W powder skeleton in W-Cu system. In-situ structure modification of W skeleton by addition of 0.3wt%Ni-P eutectic alloy was designed to proceed during heat-up of the W compact for Cu infiltration process. It was found that the Ni-P added W skeleton underwent remarkable stucture change only during heating-up. its structure was composed of large necks of W particles above 0.5 in the ratio of neck to particle size and smooth pore channels. The infiltration experiment showed that the infiltration kinetics for the W-Ni-P followed well the linear relationship of h vs. $t^{1/2}$ the rate constant K of which was in good agreement with the theoretical value. On the other hand, in case of the pure W skeleton a lower K value by 20% than the theoretical one was obatined. Such discrepancy is discussed in terms of skeleton structure induced infiltration mechanics.
In this study, the influence factors on the stability of the O/W (oil in water) emulsions prepared with coconut oil and the nonionic mixed surfactant (Tween 80-Span 80) were evaluated. The concentration and HLB value of the nonionic mixed surfactant, and the degree of agitation were used as manufacture factors. The stability of prepared O/W emulsions were measured with the mean droplet size, zeta-potential, emulsion stability index (ESI), and thermal instability index (TII). The mean droplet size of the prepared O/W emulsions was from 100 to 200 nm. As the concentration of mixed surfactant and the homogenization speed increased, the droplet sizes decreased, while the zeta-potential values increased. The effect of HLB values increased in the order of 6.0, 10.0 and 8.0, and at the HLB value of 8 the smallest mean droplet size as 120 nm was obtained whereas the largest value of the zeta-potential between 10 and 60 mV. From the results of ESI and TII, the stability of prepared O/W emulsions increased in order of 6.0, 10.0 and 8.0 of HLB values, and ESI and TII values were above 80% and below 20% respectively at HLB value of 8.0.
Eutectic high chromium cast irons containing 17%Cr and 26%Cr were produced for this research by making each of them solidify unidirectionally. Abrasion wear test against SiC or $Al_2$O$_3$bonded paper was carried out using test pieces cut cross-sectionally at several distances from the chill face of castings. The wear resistance was evaluated in connection with the parameters such as eutectic colony size($E_w$), area fraction of boundary region of the colony($S_B$) where comparatively large massive chromium carbides are crystallized and, average diameter of chromium carbides in the boundary region($D_c$). The wear rate($R_w$), which is a gradient of straight line of wear loss versus testing time, was influenced by the type and the particle size of the abrasives. The $R_w$ value against SiC was found to be larger than that against A1$_2$O$_3$under the similar abrasive particle size. In the case of SiC, the $R_w$ value increased with an increase in the particle size. The $R_w$ value also increased as the eutectic colony size decreased, and that of the 17%Cr iron was larger than that of the 26%Cr iron at the same $E_w$ value. Both of the $S_B$ and $D_c$ values were closely related to the $R_w$ value regardless of chromium content of the specimens. The $R_w$ values of the annealed specimens were greater than those of the as-cast specimens because of softened matrix structures. As for the relationship between wear rate and macro-hardness of the specimens, the hardness resulting in the minimum wear rate was found to be at 550 HV30.
