The apparent volume resistivity of powders measured by both the tapping and the compressing methods was compared in this study. Factors such as applied voltage, pressure, corona charging, and so on affecting the apparent volume resistivity of polymer powders were also examined experimentally. Powders of polyacrylonitrile and Nylon 11 were mainly used. The values of the apparent resistivity of polymer powders taken by the tapping method turned out to be larger than those taken by the compressing method, which indicates that the apparent volume resistivity of polymer powders depends strongly on the measurement method. The apparent resistivity of polymer powders increased with an increase in applied voltage while it decreased with an increase in pressure, tapping time, and particle size. The influence of the moisture content of powder and corona charging on the resistivity of polymer powders is also discussed.

In order to investigate the volume resistivity on the electrical properties of transformer oils, the Transformer oils contained BTA is prepared, which was classified by the contents of BTA, such as 1[ppm], 10[ppm], 20[ppm], 30[ppm], 50[ppm], respectively. To measure the physical properties of transformer oils contained BTA, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy is investigated. And for the study of electrical properties is made by measuring the volume resistivity of each specimen. As result of this experiments, it is confirmed that the volume resistivity characteristics of specimen contained BTA 10[ppm] is superior.

In this paper, the physical and the volume resistivity properties due to linear low density polyethylene(LLDPE)/ethylene vinyl acetate(EVA) blends are studied. In order to measure the volume resistivity properties. the micro electrometer is used, the range of temperature and applying voltage are 25 to 120[$^{\circ}C$], form 100 to 1000[V] respectively. From FT-IR spectrum, LLDPE blended with EVA shows an absence of carbonyl and ether groups. From the experimental result of the volume resistivity properties, it is confirmed that the volume resistivity is decreased, which was attributed to the increase of molecular motions with the increase of temperature.

In this paper, the volume resistivity properties of silicone rubber investigated due to temperature dependence. And the measurement of volume resistivity is measured from 1, 5 and 10 minutes when the each applied voltage, for example, DC 100[V], 250[V], 500[V] and 1000[V], is applied. according to the step voltage application method. As a result, The volume resistivity is higher high voltage than low voltage at the room temperature, but is higher low voltage than high voltage at high temperature.

To improve mean-life and reliability of power cable, in this study, we have investigated electrical properties and stress-strain showing by changing the content of carbon black that is semiconductive additives for underground power transmission. Specimens were made of sheet form with the nine of specimens for measurement. Volume resistivity of specimens was measured by volume resistivity meter after 10 minutes in the pre-heated oven of both 25±1 [℃] and 90±1 [℃]. And stress-strain of specimens was measured by TENSOMETER 2000. A speed of measurement was 200[mm/min], ranges of stress and strain were 400[Kgf/㎠] and 600[%]. In addition tests of stress-strain were progressed by aging specimens in air oven. From this experimental results, volume resistivity was high according to increasing the content of carbon black. And yield stress was increased, while strain was decreased according to increasing the content of carbon black. And stress-strain were decreased some after aging because of oxidation reaction of chemical defect. We could know EEA was excellent more than other specimens from above experimental results.

We have investigated volume resistivity and thermal properties showed by changing the content of carbon black which is the component parts of semiconducting shield in underground power transmission cable. Specimens were made of sheet form with the nine of specimens for measurement. Volume resistivity of specimens was measured by volume resistivity meter after 10 minutes in the preheated oven of both 25$\pm$1[$^{\circ}C$] and 90$\pm$1[$^{\circ}C$]. And specific heat (Cp) and thermal conductivity were measured by Nano Flash Diffusivity and DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry). The measurement temperature ranges of specific heat using the BSC was from 20[$^{\circ}C$] to 60[$^{\circ}C$], and the heating rate was 1[$^{\circ}C$/min]. And the measurement temperatures of thermal conductivity using Nano Flash Diffusivity were both 25[$^{\circ}C$] and 55[$^{\circ}C$]. Volume resistivity was high according to an increment of the content of carbon black from these experimental results. And specific heat was decreased, while thermal conductivity was increased by an increment of the content of carbon black. And both specific heat and thermal conductivity were increased by heating rate because volume of materials was expanded according to rise in temperature.
In order to a study on the electrical properties of silicone gel due to the curing condition, the volume resistivity test is researched. For experiment, we have made up several samples of different curing temperature and time such as 1[H], 2[H] at 125[$^{\circ}C$], 150[$^{\circ}C$], 160[$^{\circ}C$], 170[$^{\circ}C$], 180[$^{\circ}C$]. A measurement of volume resistivity using the VMG-1000 highmegohm meter is recorded after 10 minutes when the each voltage, and DC 500[V] and 1000[V] is applied. A coaxial cylindrical liquid electrode to measure volume resistivity of specimen is used, and its geometric capacitance is 2[pF]. As a result of the experiment, the electrical properties of specimen cured at 170[$^{\circ}C$] for 2[H] is superior.

We have investigated volume resistivity showed by changing the content of Carbon nanotube and carbon black which is the component parts of semiconducting shield in underground power transmission cable. Specimens were made of sheet form with the six of specimens for measurement. Volume resistivity of specimens was measured by volume resistivity meter after 10 minutes in the preheated oven of both $23{\pm}1[^{\circ}C]$ and $90{\pm}1[^{\circ}C]$. The volume resistivity decreased by adding Carbon nanotube and carbon black. Also the volume resistivity had different properties because of PTC/NTC tendencies at between $23[^{\circ}C]$ and $90[^{\circ}C]$. We experimented with electric properties of semiconducting components with fewer Carbon nanotube than carbon black.

Semiconducting layers are thin rubber film between electrical cable wire and insulating polymer layers having a volume resistivity of ${\sim}10^2{\Omega}cm$. A new semiconducting material was suggested in this study based on the carbon nanotube(CNT)-reinforced polymer nanocomposites. CNT-reinforced polymer nanocomposites were prepared by solution mixing with various polymer type and dual filler system. The mechanical, thermal and electrical properties were investigated as a function of polymer type and dual filler system based on CNT and carbon black. The volume resistivity of composites was strongly related with the crystallinity of polymer matrix. With decreased crystallinity, the volume resistivity decreased linearly until a critical point, and it remained constant with further decreasing the crystallinity. Dual filler system also affected the volume resistivity. The CNT-reinforced nanocomposite showed the lowest volume resistivity. When a small amount of carbon black(CB) was replaced the CNT, the crystallinity increased considerably leading to a higher volume resistivity.

The influences of various carbonization temperatures on electrical resistivity and morphologies of polyacrylonitrile (PAN)-based nanofiber webs were studied. The diameter size distribution and morphologies of the nanofiber webs were observed by a scanning electron microscope. The electrical resistivity behaviors of the webs were evaluated by a volume resistivity tester. From the results, the volume resistivity of the carbon webs was ranged from $5.1{\times}10^{-1}\;{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$ to $3.0{\times}10^{-2}\;{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$, and the average diameter of the fiber webs was varied in the range of 310 to 160 nm with increasing the carbonization temperature. These results could be explained that the graphitic region of carbon webs was formed after carbonization at high temperatures. And the amorphous structure of polymeric fiber webs was significantly changed to the graphitic crystalline, resulting in shrinking the size of fiber diameters.
