  • 본 연구에서는 800 1pm인 대유량을 처리하고 공기중 1.8~4.5$\mu\textrm{m}$ 입자를 효율 적으로 선별하여 농축시키는 슬릿형 2단 가상충돌기를 설계 제작하고 그 성능이 평가 되었다. 즉, 첫째단과 둘째단에서 4.5$\mu\textrm{m}$과 1.8$\mu\textrm{m}$이 각각 50%의 효율로 분리되도록 설계되었다. 즉, 첫째단과 둘째단에서 4.5$\mu\textrm{m}$과 1.8$\mu\textrm{m}$이 각각 50%의 효율로 분리되도 록 설계한다. 설계인자(design parameter)들을 결정하기 위하여 먼저 슬릿형 노즐의 1단 가상충돌기의 분리효율(separation efficiency)에 대한 실험을 통하여 50% 커트오 프 Stokes수를 구하고, 이를 기초로 하여 2단 가상 충돌기의 주요치수와 작동조건을 결정하였다.

다기간 자료포락분석을 이용한 전기차 충전소 효율성 변화 분석 (Analysis on the Efficiency Change in Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Using Multi-Period Data Envelopment Analysis)

  • It is highly challenging to measure the efficiency of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCSs) because factors affecting operational characteristics of EVCSs are time-varying in practice. For the efficiency measurement, environmental factors around the EVCSs can be considered because such factors affect charging behaviors of electric vehicle drivers, resulting in variations of accessibility and attractiveness for the EVCSs. Considering dynamics of the factors, this paper examines the technical efficiency of 622 electric vehicle charging stations in Seoul using data envelopment analysis (DEA). The DEA is formulated as a multi-period output-oriented constant return to scale model. Five inputs including floating population, number of nearby EVCSs, average distance of nearby EVCSs, traffic volume and traffic congestion are considered and the charging frequency of EVCSs is used as the output. The result of efficiency measurement shows that not many EVCSs has most of charging demand at certain periods of time, while the others are facing with anemic charging demand. Tobit regression analyses show that the traffic congestion negatively affects the efficiency of EVCSs, while the traffic volume and the number of nearby EVCSs are positive factors improving the efficiency around EVCSs. We draw some notable characteristics of efficient EVCSs by comparing means of the inputs related to the groups classified by K-means clustering algorithm. This analysis presents that efficient EVCSs can be generally characterized with the high number of nearby EVCSs and low level of the traffic congestion.

Comparative Study of Tritium Analysis Method with High-Volume Counting Vial

  • Background: Tritium (3H) analysis in groundwater was difficult because of its low activity. Therefore, the electrolytic enrichment method was used. To improve the detection limit and for performing simple analysis, a high-volume counting vial with the available liquid scintillation counter (LSC) was investigated. Further, it was compared with a conventional 20-mL counting vial. Materials and Methods: The LSC with the electrolytic enrichment method was used 3H analysis in groundwater. A high-volume 145-mL counting vial was compared with a conventional 20-mL counting vial to determine the counting characteristics of different LSCs. Results and Discussion: When a Quantulus LSC was used, the counting window between channels 35 and 250 was used. The background count was approximately 1.86 cpm, and the counting efficiency increased from 8% to 40% depending on the mixing ratio of the volume of sample and cocktail solution. For LSC-LB7, the optimum counting window was between 1 and 4.9 keV, which was selected by the factory (Hitachi Aloka Medical Ltd., Japan) by considering quenching using a standard external gamma source. The background count of LSC-LB7 was approximately 3.60 ± 0.29 cpm when the 145-mL vial was used and 2.22 ± 0.17 cpm when the 20-mL vial was used. The minimum detectable activity (MDA) of the 20-mL vial was greater for LSC-LB7 than for Quantulus. The MDA with the 145-mL vial was improved to 0.3 Bq/L when compared with the value of 1.6 Bq/L for the 20-mL vial. Conclusion: The counting efficiency when using the 145-mL vial was 27%, whereas it was 18% when using the 20-mL vial. This difference can be attributed to the vial volume. The figure of merit (FOM) of the 145-mL vial was four times greater than that of the 20-mL vial because the volume of the former vial is approximately seven times greater than that of the latter. Further, the MDA for 3H decreased from 1.6 to 0.3 Bq/L. The counting efficiency and FOM of LSC-LB7 was slightly less than those of Quantulus when the 20-mL vial was used. The background counting rate of the Quantulus was lower than that of the LSC-LB7.

EFFECT OF OVER-EXPANSION CYCLE IN A SPARK-IGNITION ENGINE USING LATE-CLOSING OF INTAKE VALVE AND ITS THERMODYNAMIC CONSIDERATION OF THE MECHANISM

  • This paper presents further investigation into the effect of over-expansion cycle in a spark-ignition engine. On the basis of the results obtained in previous studies, several combinations of late-closing (LC) of intake valve and expansion ratio were tested using a single-cylinder production engine. A large volume of intake capacity was inserted into the intake manifold to simulate multi-cylinder engines. With the large capacity volume, LC can decrease the pumping loss and then increase the mechanical efficiency. Increasing the expansion ratio from 11 to 23.9 with LC application can produce about 13% improvement of thermal efficiency which was suggested to be caused by the increased cycle efficiency. The decrease of compression ratio from 11 to 5.5 gives little effect on the thermal efficiency if the expansion ratio could be kept constant. Thus, the expansion ratio is revealed to be a determining factor for cycle efficiency, while compression ratio is no more important, which suggests the usefulness of controlling the intake charge with intake valve closure timing. These were successfully explained by simple thermodynamic calculation and thus the mechanism could be verified by the estimation.

LEAP 모형을 이용한 도로교통부문의 온실가스 감축잠재량 분석 - 저탄소차협력금제도, 연비강화, 운전행태개선을 중심으로 - (Analysis of GHG Reduction Potential on Road Transportation Sector using the LEAP Model - Low Carbon Car Collaboration Fund, Fuel Efficiency, Improving Driving Behavior -)

  • This study the efficiency of greenhouse gas reduction of 'low carbon car collaboration fund' and its alternative 'control of average fuel efficiency and greenhouse gas', and 'improving driving behavior' were analyzed by using LEAP, long term energy analysis model. Total 4 scenarios were set, baseline scenario, without energy-saving activity, 'low carbon car collaboration fund' scenario, 'fuel efficiency improving scenario', and 'improving driving behavior' scenario. The contents of analysis were forecast of energy demand by scenario and application as well as reduction of greenhouse gas emission volume, and the period taken for analysis was every 1 year during 2015~2030. Baseline scenario, greenhouse gas emission volume in 2015 would be 7,935,697 M/T and 13,081,986 M/T in 2030, increased 64.8%. The analysis result was average annual increase rate of 3.4%. The expected average annual increase rate of other scenarios was, 'low carbon car collaboration fund' scenario 1.7%, 'fuel efficiency improving' scenario 3.0%. and 'improving driving behavior' scenario 3.4%. and these were each 1.7%, 0.3%. 0.3% reduce from baseline scenario. The largest reduction was 'low carbon car collaboration fund' scenario, and there after were 'fuel efficiency improving scenario', and 'improving driving behavior' scenario.

70 kW 이하 가정용 가스보일러 에너지소비효율 실험방법 개발 (A Development of Test Method on the Energy Consumption Efficiency of Domestic Gas Boiler below 70 kW)

  • 표시가스 소비량이 70 kW 이하인 가정용 가스보일러에 대하여 여러 가지 운전조건하의 에너지 소비효율 측정에 대해 고찰하였다. 실제 운전상태와 유사한 실험조건에서 행한 에너지 효율실험 결과를 국내의 효율등급표시 실험방법 결과와 비교 분석하였다. 실험에 사용된 가정용가스보일러는 일반보일러와 콘덴싱 보일러 각 1개씩이며, 각각의 보일러에 대하여 네 가지 조건으로 실험하였다. 실험종류를 구분하면 실험실 모드와 실제 가동모드로 나누고, 각각의 모드별로 최대가스소비량 상태와 소비자판매 상태로 나누어 적용하였다. 효율실험을 위해 사용하는 장비는 KS 표준과 유럽의 EN 규격 등 가스보일러 관련 규격에서 제시하는 실험장치의 기능을 다하면서, 여러 가지 측정 인자를 지속적으로 축적, 기록 및 저장할 수 있는 장치로 하였다. 측정 대상 인자들은 유량(가스, 물), 온도(실험실, 난방공급수, 난방환수, 배기가스), 압력(가스미터 내부, 가스보일러 입구, 대기압) 등이다. 위 네 가지 모드의 실험결과 에너지소비효율은 실험실 상태(보일러의 안정화 상태로 실험 시작)로 실험할 때가 실제 소비자가 사용하는 패턴으로 실험할 때 보다 일반보일러의 경우 약 10 %, 콘덴싱 보일러의 경우 약 20% 높은 소비효율로 측정되었다. 에너지소비효율등급을 부여하는 정부 고시의 효율실험방법도 본 연구에서 실시한 것과 같이 실제상황을 가정한 효율실험방법을 도입 운영할 필요가 있다.

강섬유의 형상비와 혼입률에 따른 강섬유 보강 콘크리트 보의 역학적 특성 추정 모형 개발 (Development of Estimation of Model for Mechanical Properties of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete according to Aspect Ratio and Volume Fraction of Steel Fiber)

  • Practially useful method of steel fiber for construction work is presented in this study. The most important purpose of this study is to develop a model which can predict mechanical behavior of the structure according to aspect ratio and volume fraction of steel fiber. Experiments on compressive strength, elastic modulus, and splitting strength were performed with self-made cylindrical specimens of variable aspect ratios and volume fractions. The experiment showed that compressive strength was not in direct proportion to volume fraction which doesn't seem to have great influence over compressive strength. However, splitting strength showed almost direct proportion to aspect ratio and volume fraction. Improvement of optimal efficiency was confirmed when the aspect ratio was 70. Experiments on flexural strength, fracture energy, and characteristic length were carried out with self-manufactured beams with notch. As a result, increases of flexural strength, fracture energy, and characteristic length according to increase of volume fraction tend to be prominent when aspect ratio is 70. The steel fiber improves concrete to be more ductile and tough. Moreover, regression analysis was the performed and predictable model was developed after determining variables. With comparison and analysis of suggested estimated values and measured data, reliance of the model was verified.

토양세척폐액 부피감소를 위한 재생방법 연구 (Methods of Recycling Soil Washing Wastewater for Volume Reduction)

  • TRIGA원자로 주변 토양을 인공적으로 오염시킬 때, 오염용액 내의 코발트농도가 작아짐에 따라 코발트의 흡착평형 계수는 증가했고, 이 오염토양 질량 대 Citrc acid용액 부피 비율률 1:5로 하였을 때 토양제염효율이 높았다. 0.01M, 0.01M, 0.0001M코발트용액으로 오염된 TRIGA토양을 0.01M Citric acid로 Washing한 후의 토양세척액의 코발트 농도는 각각 136.0, 14.0, 1.5 ppm이었다. 화학침전법에 의해 토양세척폐액 내의 코발트농도가 낮아질수록 제거율은 저하했다. 그러나 다량의 NaOH가 첨가되어야 하고 최종침전폐기물의 부피가 오염토양부피의 약 10%정도나 되었다. 이온교환수지법에 의한 재생실험결과 강산성수지를 많이 넣을수록 코발트제염 효율은 증가했고 pH는 감소했다. 코발트농도가 다른 세 종류의 토양세척폐액에 강산성수지를 넣고 흡착실험을 한 결과 일정한 코발트 제거효율을 얻기 위해 필요한 강산성수지의 질량은 모두 거의 일정했다. 즉, 95%이상의 제거효율을 얻기 위해 0.625 g 이상의 강산성수지가 필요했다. 한편, 토양부피의 약9.2%의 다량의 강산성수지 폐기물이 발생하는 것이 문제점이다.
