Historically, LCD monitors have not been able to be used for frame-sequential stereoscopic 3D visualisation due to their slow pixel response rate. With LCD pixel response rates now in the single-digit millisecond range it is natural to ask whether it is now possible to achieve frame-sequential stereoscopic 3D viewing on LCDs.

Flow visualization techniques were employed to qualitatively visualize the flow patterns through a 400％ scaled up centrifugal blood pump. The apparatus comprised of a scaled up centrifugal pump. high speed video camera. Argon Ion Laser Light Sheet and custom coded particle tracking software. Reynolds similarity laws are applied in order to reduce the rotational speed of the pump. The outlet (cutwater) region was identified as a site of high turbulence and thus a likely source of haemolysis. The region underneath the impeller was identified as a region of lower flow.

The advantage of the latest technical development in the field of automation, electronics, telecommunications, informatics, geomatics and global position fixing techniques, achievement in data storing, processing, analysing, transferring and visualisation must be taken into account and applied to the maritime technology in the very near future. We should build new e-Navigation era using those technologies [16]. In the paper the Author proposes to introduce and define two new terms: navitronics - formed by analogy to mechatronics, and nautomatics - created by analogy to geomatics and telematics to be combination of those two disciplines in navigational applications.

Purpose - Semiconductors are a significant export item for Korea that is expected to continue to contribute significantly to the Korean economy in the future. Thus, the semiconductor industry is a critical component in the 4th Industrial Revolution and is expected to continue growing as the non-face-to-face economy expands as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, this paper aims to empirically investigate how semiconductors are imported and exported in Korea from a global supply chain perspective by analysing import and export data at the micro-level. Design/methodology - This study conducts a multifaceted analysis of the global supply chain for semiconductors and related equipment in Korea by examining semiconductor imports and exports by semiconductor type, year, target country, mode of transportation, airport/port, and domestic region, using import/export micro-data. The visualisation, flow analysis, and Bayesian Network methodologies were used to compensate for the limitations of each method. Findings - Korea is a major exporter of semiconductor memory and has the world's highest competitiveness but is relatively weak in the field of system semiconductors. The trade deficit in 'semiconductor equipment and parts' is clearly growing. As a result, continued investment in 'system semiconductors' and 'semiconductor equipment and parts' technology development is necessary to boost exports and ensure a stable supply chain. Originality/value - Few papers on semiconductor trade in Korea have been published from the perspective of the global supply chain or value chain. This study contributes to the literature in this area by focusing on import and export data for the global supply chain of the Korean semiconductor industry using a variety of approaches. It is our hope that the insights gained from this study will aid in the advancement of SCM research.

Nowadays there are practically no mathematical courses in which Computer Algebra Systems (CAS) programs, such as MATHEMATlCA, Maple, and TI-89/92, are not used to some extent. However, generally the usage of these programs is reduced to illustration of computing processes: calculation of integrals, differentiation, solution of various equations, etc. This is obtained by usage of standard command of type: Solve [...] in MATHEMATICA. At the same time the main difficulties arise at teaching nonconventional mathematical courses such as coding theory, discrete mathematics, cryptography, Scientific computing, which are gaining the increasing popularity now. Now it is impossible to imagine a modern engineer not having basic knowledge in discrete mathematics, Cryptography, coding theory. Digital processing of signals (digital sound, digital TV) has been introduced in our lives.

The paper presents the results of the project GISMO, which aimed on generating and interactively visualising a 3D urban landscape model of the city of Stuttgart, Germany. With respect to the desired flexibility to support walkthrough and flyover applications, a combined approach using continuous level of detail, the impostor technique and a method for generalizing 3D building models was used to speed up the visualization. To reduce the costs of the project, the data collection tools and the visualization environment was built solely with open-source software.

An application of wavelet analysis to power system transient generated signals is presented in this paper. With the time-frequency localisation characteristics embedded in wavelets, the time and frequency information of a waveform can be presented as a visualised scheme. This feature is very important for non-stationary signals analysis such as the ones generated from power system disturbances. Unlike the Fourier transform, the wavelet transform approach is more efficient in monitoring fault signals as time varies. For time intervals where the function changes rapidly, this method can zoom in on the area of interest for better visualisation of signal characteristics.

최근 몇 년간 의료 부문에 있어서의 지식 관리의 중요성이 대두되고 있다. 따라서 의료 조직들은 지식 관리 전력을 적용하고자 노력하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 의료 부문에서 지식 관리 부족 문제를 지원하기 위하여 공용적인 의료 관리를 위한 지식 관리 프레임워크를 제시한다. 이러한 프레임워크는 애플리케이션과 서비스의 두 개의 영역으로 구성된다. 즉 지능 에이전트 기반의 지식 관리 애플리케이션 영역과 전력적인 시각화, 계획과 연합 정보 서비스 영역으로 구성된다.

Interactions are intrinsic part of what we do. We interact when we work, when we learn, when we visit a doctor, and when we play. With the advent of information and communications technology we can collect rich data (video, audio, and various transcripts including text chat) about such interactions. This opens an opportunity to monitor the dynamics of interactions and to get deeper insights of how they unfold and deliver this information to the interacting parties. This paper presents the design of a technology for visualising information about the dynamics of unfolding of interactions and presenting it in an ambient display on mobile devices. The purpose of this technology is the delivery of such information to the point of decision making.

기존의 VTS 교육훈련시설은 레이더 영상의 전시에만 의존하여 충실한 교육효과를 거두기 어려운 현실이었다. 최근에 선박 조종시뮬레이터에서 사용되던 3차원 가상영상을 VTS 관제운용에 접목하여 악천 후 등으로 인한 CCTV 활용 및 견시가 불가능한 때에도 선박의 현재 항해 상태를 직관적으로 파악할 수 있는 시스템이 개발되었다. 본 연구에서는 3차원 가상영상의 제공이 관제사의 효율적이고 신속한 의사결정을 어떻게 지원할 수 있는지를 살펴본 뒤, 기존 VTS 훈련 장비에 3차원 가상영상을 접목하여 보다 충실한 교육훈련효과를 거둘 수 있는 방안을 찾아보았다.
