과학 교수 학습을 위한 시각적 표상 능력의 교육목표 분류체계 개발 및 타당화 (Development and Validation of Visual Representation Competence Taxonomy)

  • 과학자들은 연구 과정에서 다양한 시각적 표상을 다양한 방식으로 활용한다. 과학 교수 학습 과정에서도 시각적 표상은 과학 개념을 가르치거나 이해하기 위한 수단으로, 또 학생의 과학적 사고를 촉진하고, 탐구 능력을 증진시키기 위한 도구로 활용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 과학 교수 학습 과정에서 효과적인 시각적 표상 활용을 촉진하고, 체계적인 과학교육 연구의 기초를 제공하고자 하는 목적으로 시각적 표상능력의 교육목표 분류체계(visual representation competence taxonomy: VRC-T)를 개발하였다. VRC-T는 시각적 표상 유형과 인지 과정, 2개 차원으로 구성하였고, 선행 연구를 고찰하여 초기 모형을 개발한 뒤 교사 중심의 타당도 검토 결과, 전문가 중심의 타당도 검토 결과를 반영하여 최종 모형을 개발하였다. 최종 모형에서 시각적 표상 유형은 크게 '기술적 표상', '과정적 표상', '설명적 표상'으로 구분하였으며, 시각적 표상의 인지 과정은 크게 '해석하기', '통합하기', '구성하기'로 구분하였다. VRC-T의 타당화 과정과 각 세부 범주의 개요 및 예시를 설명하였고 가능한 활용 방안을 제안하였다.

  • Vibrational analysis is presented for a visual alignment system of nano-imprint process in this study. For a nano-imprinting equipment, the visual alignment system is one of the essential parts in order to align the mold into the target panel. For the precision alignment, the vibration from inside and outside of the vision system should be avoided, and the elimination of the vibration should be considered in the design process of the visual alignment design. In this work, vibrational characteristics for the vision system frame is analyzed and topology optimization of a frame section area is carried out. With the results of the analysis, a new frame design are suggested. Design consideration for constructing a visual alignment system in view of optimal design is also discussed.

시계열 스트리트뷰 데이터베이스를 이용한 시각적 위치 인식 알고리즘 (Visual Location Recognition Using Time-Series Streetview Database)

  • Nowadays, portable digital cameras such as smart phone cameras are being popularly used for entertainment and visual information recording. Given a database of geo-tagged images, a visual location recognition system can determine the place depicted in a query photo. One of the most common visual location recognition approaches is the bag-of-words method where local image features are clustered into visual words. In this paper, we propose a new bag-of-words-based visual location recognition algorithm using time-series streetview database. The proposed algorithm selects only a small subset of image features which will be used in image retrieval process. By reducing the number of features to be used, the proposed algorithm can reduce the memory requirement of the image database and accelerate the retrieval process.

The optical-components manufacturing process is composed of 3 operation processes; optical sub assembly process, package assembly process, and fiber assembly process. Each process is managed not a batch mode, which is one of most popular manufacturing styles to produce a great deal of industrial output, but though a modular cell. In the processes, a modular cell has to be processed independently of the other cells. Optimization for the composition of assembly cell in the optical-components system is made by the Visual factory model.

공간의 시각적 이해과정에 나타난 성별 주시특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Observation Characteristics by Sex shown in the process of Visual Appreciation of Space)

  • This study is about the visual appreciation by sex with the analysis of time range of observing data which was got through observation experiment with the space of lobby in hospitals. The observation data of the subjects who observed the space include the frequency and time, through which the process of visual appreciation could be evaluated with the definition of the frequency and the time of observation. First, the fact that men had higher frequency of observation than women means the former had more movement than the latter, and another fact of their fewer times can be understood as the time of their staying was shorter. That is, even though the men had more movements of sight, they showed the feature of staying shorter. Second, the rate high and low of observation frequency and times made it possible for observation characteristics to be defined as 'intensive search' 'active search' 'fixed concentration' and 'search wandering.' The definition of understanding this process of visual appreciation can be available for a frame of effective analysis of observation characteristics according to the passage of time. Third, the intense search is the case of 'high frequency' having the feature of high visual appreciation owing to the active visual actions for acquiring information. Men were found to have more intense search which decreased gradually as time passed, while women showed the feature of many times of intense search. Fourth, it was found that with many observation data in a certain range of time the subjects had fixed concentration, where women were found to have repetitive fixed concentration along with the change of observation time while men were seen to have more observation tendency for fixed concentration. Fifth, at the cross tabulation of frequency and times, men had the feature of dispersed visual appreciation while women had more distinction between fixation and movement, which revealed that there is surely the difference between men and women in the process of visual appreciation.

패션 디자인 프로세스와 스토리텔링의 관계 정립에 관한 연구 (A Study on Establishing Relationship between Fashion Design Process and Storytelling)

  • The Purpose of this study is to demonstrate Storytelling as an effective device for Fashion Design by establishing relationship between Fashion Design Process and Storytelling. Through researching a social background and a concept of storytelling, found that story used interactively is a powerful tool for attention, understanding and change in both individuals and communities. Analysed the elements and the structure of storytelling and Fashion Design Process, by researching preceding researches. Therefore, we proposed a new four elements -text factor, visual factor, audio factor and virtual factor- and four steps (1)exploring stories, (2)planning a story, (3)building the story, (4)do storytelling- of storytelling and four steps-(1)gathering and analysing informations, (2)building a concept, (3)planning and developing a design, (4)do evaluation and make decision- of fashion design process. Through comparative analysis, we found a closeness between two structures, a use of common factors and also found characteristics to be considered in each stage. In the first stage, we found text, visual and audio factor as common factors. In the second stage, we suggested text and visual factor as common factors and also suggested clarity, realism and probability as characteristics. In the third stage, we found text, visual and virtual factor and also found dynamism, immersion and continuity. In the last stage, we suggested text, visual, virtual and audio factor and also suggested presence and interactivity as characteristics.

LCD 생산공정의 전게이트 시각 검사를 위한 공정 제어장치 개발 (Development on the Process Control System for Full Gate Visual Test of LCD Manufacturing Process)

  • 본 연구개발에서는 정해진 환경에서 최대의 불량검출 능력을 발휘할 수 있도록 공정을 개선하기 위하여 전게이트 시각검사에 필수적인 FGV 패턴발생 장치와 공정제어 장치를 개발하였다. 본 연구개발을 통하여 접촉손실(Tact Loss)을 0에 근접 한 수준으로 유지할 뿐만 아니라 손실 및 에러 발생시 신속한 대처가 가능하여 모듈의 수율을 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 또한 세부 동작 시퀀스를 제어하기 위한 H/W와 S/W 시스템을 생산라인에 실장하고 성능점검 및 인증을 수행한 결과 Tact에 의한 Pixel 불량의 경우는 98.1%, Line 불량의 경우는 99.1%의 검출율을 나타내었으며, Gate 및 Visual 레벨 테스트를 포함한 모듈공정 전체의 수율이 98.3%까지 증가하였다.

융합제품의 범주화과정: 규칙기반? 외형적 유사성기반? (The categorization process of convergence products: rule-based? or similarity-based?)

  • 본 연구는 융합제품의 범주화과정을 규칙 기반의 범주화 과정과 외형적 유사성 기반의 범주화과정으로 분류하였다. 그리고 이러한 범주화 과정이 융합 전 두 가지 원형(prototype)의 구성요소에 대한 정보제공방식(시각적 정보 vs. 시각적 정보+언어적 정보)과 소비자의 사고방식(종합적 사고 vs. 분석적 사고)에 따라 어떻게 달라지는 지를 확인하였다. 연구결과 (1) 원형의 구성요소에 대한 정보를 달리 제공하는 경우, 시각적 정보만 제공하는 경우보다 언어적 정보를 추가적으로 제공하는 경우에 규칙 기반의 범주화 과정을 거치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 융합제품의 범주화과정에서 외형적 유사성보다는 공통적인 특성을 기반으로 유사성 및 범주를 판단하는 것으로 나타났다. (2) 사고방식의 경우에는 종합적 사고자보다 분석적 사고자의 경우에 규칙 기반의 범주화 과정을 거치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 융합제품이 널리 확산되고 있는 현재의 시장상황에서 소비자의 범주화과정 및 고려상표군 판단에 있어 이론적 실무적 시사점을 제공할 것으로 판단된다.
