Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effects of 8 constitution acupuncture on a patient with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) type I. Methods : In this study, a patient with CRPS was treated by 8 constitution acupuncture therapy. He was diagnosed in the Cholecystonia of 8 constitution diagnosis. The progress of symptoms were evaluated by visual analog scale (VAS) and sleeping time. VAS and sleeping time were evaluated at 7:00 am daily. Results : VAS decreased from 10 to 4, while sleeping time increased from 30 minutes to 3 hours. Conclusion : The results suggest that 8 constitution acupuncture is effective for treating symptoms of CRPS type I.

PURPOSE: This study aimed to investigate the effect of complex theraputic exercise on visual analog scale of pain, shoulder' range of motion for middle-aged women with breast cancer related lymphedema. METHODS: The 14 middle-aged women involved voluntary in this study and then they were divided into two groups(n =7 per group). The complex exercise program was implemented over 4 weeks, 60 minutes per day, with 3 types of exercise for stimulation whereas the control group was performed a classical decongestive physiotherapy in a same day. For data analysis, the mean and standard deviation were estimated; 2 way repeated measures ANOVA was carried out. RESULTS: First, The level of VAS was significantly reduced on time, interaction effect in the group. Second, most factors of ROM were significantly increased on time, interaction effect whereas extension was not significantly increased. CONCLUSION: In conclusion, Our results showed that complex therapeutic exercise could improve or maintain VAS and ROM of shoulder joint for middle-aged women with breast cancer related lymphedema.

Purpose : The patients who have Supraspinatus tendinitis, Lateral epicondylitis, Achilles tendinitis are our targets, so we want to know their opinions in order to take Sono-graphic tests and to study utility value of Sono-graphic. Object and Methods : The case of 30 patients with Tendinitis results, we classified with three categories, Supraspinatus tendinitis, Lateral epicondylitis and Achilles tendinitis. Case by case, before medical treatment, we executed the inspections which are Sound side and Affected side. After 4 weeks of medical treatment, we executed the inspection which is Sono-graphic. Objectively comparing with Sono-graphic, we measured VAS(Visual Analog Scale) before and after physical therapy. Results : We could learn that VAS (Visual Analog Scale) and Sono-graphic wore decreased about changing the lesion area of each disease. For example, Supraspinatus tendinitis is from case 1 and case 2, Lateral epicondylitis is from case 8, case 9 and case 10, Achilles tendinitis is from case 16, case 17 and case 18. Conclusion : About organization of complicated anatomy, we could learn general ideas about Supraspinatus tendinitis, Lateral epicondylitis, Achilles tendinitis. And finally the results which appeared between the decrements of VAS and Sono-graphic are similar.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of the low-intensity ultrasound (noblelife) treatment on the pain points of upper trapezius muscle. The study recruited 20 patients who had trigger points in one side of the upper trapezius. The effectiveness of the low-intensity ultrasound treatment was assessed with subjective pain intensity using visual analog scale (VAS) and pressure pain threshold (PPT). The PPT was measured by pressure threshold algometer. Before and after the treatment, changes of pain were evaluated. Wilcoxon test for VAS data and paired t-test for PPT data were used for statistical significance. Compared to the pain intensity before the treatment, the pain intensity after treatment was significantly decreased (p<.05). Low-intensity ultrasound could be safely used in clinical application and at home for the treatment of patients with pain in upper trapezius muscle.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Bee Venom Acua-Acupuncture Therapy to the patient of Pes Anserine Bursitis by using DITI. Patient & Methods : The patient was 60-year-old woman who complained severe knee pain. She was treated by bee venom acuaacupuncture therapy. To estimate the efficacy of tratment, we used DITI, visual analog scale, knee joint check(ROM). Results : In this case, we treated patient of Pes Anserine Bursitis for 28 days. bee venom acua-acupuncture therapy efficiently relieved patient's pain and improved ROM. DITI and Visual analog scale also showed significantly valuable changes.

The purpose of this study is to identify the clinical effects of Gyebongnyeong capsule in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea patients. We studied ten patients visit Se-Myung University Oriental Medical Center from February, 2005 to March, 2005. Women with organic disease such as ut. myoma, ov. cyst and pelvic inflammatory disease were excluded from this study. We treated them with Gyebongnyeong capsule for two menstrual cycles. The severity of dysmenorrhea were measured by VAS (Visual Analog Scale) and Patient's Global Assessment. Gyebongnyeong capsule significantly decreased the severity of dysmenorrhea. Gyebongnyeong capsule did not show hepatic and renal virulence. This study shows that Gyebongnyeong capsule has remarkable effects on dysmenorrhea patients.

Lumbar puncture is an essential procedure for obtaining fluid from spinal meningeal spaces, and post-lumbar puncture headache is the most frequent adverse event. This case report evaluates the effects of treatment with traditional Korean medicine on a patient suffering post-lumbar puncture headache using the Headache Disability Inventory (HDI) and the visual analog scale (VAS). The patient's HDI score decreased from 46 to 6 after treatment, and the VAS score decreased from 62 to 5. The results suggest that traditional Korean medicine can be helpful in managing post-lumbar puncture headache.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to report three cases of post-COVID-19 dry cough that persisted even after taking Western medicine but was successfully treated with Maekmundong-tang. Methods: Three patients who were treated with Maekmundong-tang from March to June 2022 were selected from patients who visited Dong-Eui University Korean Medicine Hospital with post-Covid-19 dry cough. Jeil Maekmundong-tang Ext. granules were used to improve the cough. The effect of the treatment was evaluated using a visual analog scale, cough symptom score, and cough assessment test. Results: After the treatment, Cases 1, 2, and 3 showed decreases from 90 to 30, 65 to 0, and 70 to 20, respectively, for the visual analog scale score, decreases from 9 to 3, 5 to 0, and 5 to 3, respectively, for the cough symptom score, and decreases from 20 to 4, 9 to 1, and 8 to 3, respectively, for the cough assessment test score. Conclusion: Maekmundong-tang provided an effective improvement in the post-COVID-19 dry cough that persisted even after taking Western medicine.

1. Object: The primary purpose of this case study is to report that a Tae-Yin-In patients with sweaty scrotum and dysuria was treated with 'Chung sim youn ja tang' and then his symptom decreased 2. Subject: A male obese patient with sweaty scrotum and dysuria that visit Kirin oriental hospital to be treated for obesity 3. Method: The patient was to have a very low calory diet and to exercise for an hour daily and to take a Herb-medicine, 'Chung sim youn ja tang'. Change of his subjective symptom, sweaty scrotum and dysuria, was measured by VAS(Visual Analog Scale) 4. Result: A Tae-Yin-In patients with sweaty scrotum and dysuria was treated with 'Chung sim youn ja tang' and Change of his subjective symptom, sweaty scrotum and dysuria, was measured by VAS(Visual Analog Scale) then his symptom decreased. 5. Conclusion: 'Chung sim youn ja tang' may have an effect on Treatment of sweaty scrotum and dysuria. Further study is needed how to conclud 'disease pattern of constitution' accroding with co-symptom.

The purpose of this study is to report the case mental health of people with disabilities has improved through visit treatment at public health centers. From October 26, 2021 to January 04, 2022, 6 visits were conducted and Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Korean version of Center for Epidemiological Studies-Depression Scale (K-CES-D), Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Euro Qol-Visual Analogue Scale (EQ-VAS), Modified Barthel Index (MBI) were used to check changes. After Korean Medicine treatments such as acupuncture, electroacupuncture, electromoxibustion, PHQ-9 decreased from 18 to 8, BDI decreased from 22 to 15, K-CES-D decreased from 42 to 21. And VAS decreased from 85 to 50, EQ-VAS increased from 30 to 50. But There was no change in the MBI. Confirmation of improvement in mental health-related indicators of disabled patients through Korean Medicine treatments.
