강성 배분비를 괴려한 고강성 경량화 차체 설계 (Design of high stiffness and lightweight body for stiffness distribution ratio)

  • Lightweight body can cause a low stiffness due to the decrease of panel thickness and reinforcing member. The other way, high stiffness body demands an increase of mass. Front pillar section area is decreased due to driver's visual field. Global vehicle stiffness is affected by stiffness distribution ratio between upper part and lower part at side body structure. This paper will describe a process used to evaluate the stiffness distribution ratio based on research of strain energy analysis of the tip rotation method. In addition, optimum design schemes are presented for high stiffness and lightweight body structure considering the investigated stiffness distribution ratio. In this way the designer will be aided by a defined design guide and a set of supporting tool to help him work towards a good design

Renal Subcapsular Hematoma after Percutaneous Transfemoral Angiography

  • Vascular complications after percutaneous angiography include hematoma, pseudoaneurysm, arteriovenous fistula, thromboembolism, arterial laceration and infection. Hematomas may occur in the groin, thigh, retroperitoneal, intraperitoneal, or abdominal wall. A 54-year-old female underwent percutaneous transfemoral angiography for the evaluation of cerebral aneurysm. Renal subcapsular hematoma developed 3 hours after the procedure. Renal subcapsular hematoma after percutaneous angiography is very rare. We investigated the possible causes of renal subcapsular hematoma. To avoid this rare complication, we need to perform guide-wire passage carefully from the beginning of the procedure under full visual monitoring.

프로운 라움 공간특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Spatial Characteristics in the Proun Raum)

  • In 1923, El. Lissitzky designed ‘Proun Raum’ to realize his spatial experiment in paintings that are called 'Proun'. For this, Lissitzky taken Pome 'element' to construct his imaginary space that combine time with space. Especially, Quadrangle make an important role by the reason of its potential energy. In other words, alteration of its four corners turn Quadrangle to rectangle or square, etc, and describe some force, motion and location as itself. Analyzing 'Proun' and 'A and Pangeometry' that describes his spatial concept, spatial characteristics of 'Proun Raum' are comprehended, and the significance of spatial construction method in 'Proun Raum' are summarized as follows; occurrence of spectator's visual guide by elements, secession of afterimage, do-construction of the border.

  • Characteristics of the present world market include demanding and sophisticated customers, requirement of high quality and innovative products, greater product diversity, increasing labour and products costs, availability of diverse alternatives to the customers and smaller batch sizes to satisfy a variety of customer profiles. To fulfil these characteristics, manufacturing companies need to be flexible adaptable, proactive and able to produce variety of products in short time at low cost. The aim of the study is to develop a computer-aided design system for water-gate on AutoCAD R2000 system. The developed system has been written in AutoCAD and VisualLISP with a personal computer, and is composed four modules which are the gate-lifter input module, guide-frame input module, and upgrade module. Based on knowledge-based rules, the system is designed by considering several factors, such as width and height of a water-gate, material, object of product and maximum depth of water.

Tree-Structured Nonlinear Regression

  • Tree algorithms have been widely developed for regression problems. One of the good features of a regression tree is the flexibility of fitting because it can correctly capture the nonlinearity of data well. Especially, data with sudden structural breaks such as the price of oil and exchange rates could be fitted well with a simple mixture of a few piecewise linear regression models. Now that split points are determined by chi-squared statistics related with residuals from fitting piecewise linear models and the split variable is chosen by an objective criterion, we can get a quite reasonable fitting result which goes in line with the visual interpretation of data. The piecewise linear regression by a regression tree can be used as a good fitting method, and can be applied to a dataset with much fluctuation.

  • The recognition limit of brightness difference in the visual system of human has not been studied system-atically. In this paper, endeavor to calculate surround adapted Weber-Fechner fractions based on the crispening effect was added to the traditional Weber-Fechner fractions. It is found that surround adapted fractions have reduced to 1/3 of the traditional fractions. As compared with Breitmeyer's experiments, the presented result is a reasonable one. It can be used as some guide to design the digital display system when a designer needs to decide bit count of digital signal in considering of the limit of brightness level, and as the inspection tool of display manufacturing of brightness smear, defect, and so on.

  • This Paper provides perceptual metrics for video quality based on properties of human visual system, and audio quality based on human audition. All metrics work without reference signals, allowing non-intrusive, in-service measurements. A simple and easy-to-learn user interface displays the metrics and saves them in popular file formats like CSV. In this paper, proposed method was able to various and corrective measurement for the multimedia service video quality. As that it was able to application to set up service guide line and the methode of measurement and system for the set up standardization of the high quality video service.

  • In this paper we present a new visual approach for the robust bin-picking in a two-step concept for a vision driven automatic handling robot. The technology described here is based on two types of sensors: 3D laser scanner and CCD video camera. The geometry and pose(position and orientation) information of bin contents was reconstructed from the camera and laser sensor. these information can be employed to guide the robotic arm. A new thinning algorithm and constrained hough transform method is also explained in this paper. Consequently, the developed bin-picking demonstrate the successful operation with 3D hole object.

  • In this paper, we present a practical place and object recognition method for guiding visitors in building environments. Recognizing places or objects in real world can be a difficult problem due to motion blur and camera noise. In this work, we present a modeling method based on the bidirectional interaction between places and objects for simultaneous reinforcement for the robust recognition. The unification of visual context including scene context, object context, and temporal context is also. The proposed system has been tested to guide visitors in a large scale building environment (10 topological places, 80 3D objects).

지하철 노선도 디자인의 구성요소 분석과 가이드라인 제안 (Design Elements & Guidelines of Route Maps for Underground Railways)

  • Serving a function of transportation information and geographic information together with proper composition of design elements, railway route maps have to be designed to easily recognized to the concerning passengers as they offer users to access to the guide information. This study analyzed visual aspects of the maps of 8 underground routes linking Seoul and urban cities(D1 - D8) and the maps of 8 different cities overseas (A1 - A8). As a source of information with condition of easy recognition, universality and aesthetics, route maps should be designed and consistently managed by the manual which establishes the principle of the logical system and the standardized form.
