Multiple Object-Based Design Model for Quality Improvement of User Interface (사용자 인터페이스 품질 향상을 위한 다중 객체 기반 설계 모델)

  • According to rapid growth of web environment, user interface design needs to support the complex interactions between human and computer. In the paper we suggest the object modeling method for Qualify Improvement of User Interface. We propose the 4 business event's object modeling phases such as business event object modeling, task object modeling, transaction object modeling, and form object modeling to enhance visual cohesion of UI. As a result, this 4 phases in this paper allows us to enhance visual cohesion of User Interface prototype. We have found that the visual cohesion of business events become strong and unskilled designer can develope the qualified user interface prototype. And it also improves understanding of business task and reduces prototype system development iteration.

  • As application development environment changes rapidly, importance of user interface design is increasing. Usually, most of designers are clustering by subjective method of individual to define objects that have relativity in design interface. But, interface which is designed without particular rules just adds inefficiency and complexity of business to user who use this system. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an object oriented design model that allows for flexible development by formalizing the user interface prototype in any GUI environment. The visual cohesion of the user interface is a new set of criteria which has been studied in relation to the user interface contents, and is founded on the basis of the cohesion of the interface as defined using basic software engineering concepts. The visual cohesion includes the issue of how each unit is arranged and grouped, as well as the cohesion of the business events which appear in the programming unit. The interface will become easier to understand and use if the business events are grouped by their inter-relevance within the user interface.

  • It is extremely difficult for these various experts to participate in user interface design. Therefore, there has to be the studies for an automated design for User interface that could satisfy various expertise areas. In sequence to achieve this, there has to be a assessment metrics to support uer's comprehension for a business information processing, And an studies for a visual cohesion to design a qualified user interface. As a result, this paper is going to provide a modeling method of clustering design that could enhance visual cohesion of user interface prototypes. This is going to propose techniques and regulations of designing for clustering qualified user interface.

  • The user interface design needs to support the complex interactions between human and computers. It also requires comprehensive knowledges many areas to collect customer's requirements and negotiate with them. The user interface designer needs to be a graphic expert, requirement analyst, system designer, programmer, technical expert, social activity scientist, and so on. Therefore, it is necessary to research on an designing methodology of user interface for satisfying various expertise areas. In the paper, We propose the 4 business event's abstract object visualizing phases such as fold abstract object modeling, task abstract object modeling, transaction abstract object modeling, and form abstract object modeling. As a result, this modeling method allows us to enhance visual cohesion of UI, and help unskilled designer to can develope the higy-qualified user interface.

Analysis of the relationship between e-brand personalities and visual attributes (웹페이지 디자인의 이브랜드 개성 구축을 위한 시각조형특성 분석)

  • The brand personality of online products and services is know as its e-brand personality. Although, in the competitive conditions of online markets, e-brand personality is agreed to be an important factor, few studies have suggested how to establish e-brand personality through the visual design of web sites. This study identifies and verifies causal relationships between the visual attributes of web pages and e-brand personalities. The first identifies four major dimensions of e-brand personality on diverse web sites. The second uses 52 experimental home pages to identify key visual attributes associated with those four personality dimensions. The third is a confirmatory study with 16 experimental web sites that verifies causal relationships between visual attributes and e-brand personalities. The results show that two visual attributes, 'simplicity' and 'cohesion,' help to establish a 'bold' personality. Three attributes, 'contrast,' 'density,' and 'regularity,' affect whether a site has an 'analytical' personality. 'Contrast,' 'cohesion,' 'density,' and 'regularity' all influence whether a web site is perceived to have a 'friendly' personality. 'Regularity' and 'balance' were expected to affect the 'sophisticated' personality dimension, but no such impact was observed. The paper concludes with a discussion of implications, limitations, and future research directions.

Associations between Family Relationships and Quality of Kife in Patients with Schizophrenia (조현병 환자에서 가족관계와 삶의 질의 관계)

  • Objectives : The aim of this study was to examine associations between quality of life in patients with schizophrenia and their family relationships. Methods : A total of 68 patients with schizophrenia participated in the study. Socio-demographic and clinical data were collected, as well as results from the Subjective Well-being under Neuroleptic Treatment Scale-Short Form(SWN-K), Family Emotional Involvement and Criticism Scale(FEICS), a visual analogue scale for evaluating the degree of perceived criticism(VAS), the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale(FACES), Beck Cognitive Insight Scale(BCIS), and Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale(R-SES). Psychiatrists administered the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale and the Calgary Depression Scale for Schizophrenia(CDSS), and collected a history of previous suicide attempts. Results : The SWN-K total scores showed significant negative correlations with scores on the FEICS perceived criticism, CDSS, and VAS measures and significant positive correlations with scores on the R-SES, FACES, and BCIS. Multiple regression analysis revealed that FEICS perceived criticism, FACES, and BCIS scores were significantly associated with SWN-K scores. The FACES total score was significantly lower in patients with a history of previous suicide attempt. Conclusion : The quality of life of patients with schizophrenia was negatively associated with greater perceived familial criticism and positively associated with better family cohesion and higher patient insight. In patients with a history of suicide attempts, family adaptability and cohesion were significantly low.

  • 기존의 소프트웨어 개발자는 객체지향 내에서 나쁜 코드 습관으로 코드 자체의 결합도와 응집도를 고려하지 못 한다. 또한 SW 비가시성으로 인해, SW 내 복잡도 및 품질관리 등이 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 SW 복잡도 및 재사용 향상을 위해, 기존 절차식 모듈 관점 보다는 객체지향 메카니즘으로 응집도의 개념과 이를 통한 내부 코드 응집도 비교 및 가시화 구현하였다. 이는 내부 객체 코드의 응집도를 통해, 객체 내부 및 객체간의 복잡도 인식으로 재사용성과 코드 문제점 확보에 활용하고자 한다.

  • The development of digital technology constructs meaning through the narrative by digitalized story. Including mobile whole aspect movie, visual contents have the narrative structure and signification based on the digital technology. This study planned to explore the possibility that mobile movie can expand the classical narrative structure and bring up the method of signification. For this purpose, this paper proved the process to cohere narrative through redundancy and a double across of space-time structure according to the principle of causality in mobile movies such as and . According to the findings, mobile movies appeared to construct a consolidated structure through cohesion of meaning and to move the space-time doubly across at a subjective point of view of the characters for continuity of story. Such a result means the narrative structure and the method of signification of mobile movie are modifying or expanding the unique formation of classical films in accordance with mobile devices as digital media.

AJFCode: An Approach for Full Aspect-Oriented Code Generation from Reusable Aspect Models

  • Model-driven engineering (MDE) and aspect-oriented software development (AOSD) contribute to the common goal of development of high-quality code in reduced time. To complement each approach with the benefits of the other, various methods of integration of the two approaches were proposed in the past. Aspect-oriented code generation, which targets obtaining aspect-oriented code directly from aspect models, offers some unique advantages over the other integration approaches. However, the existing aspect-oriented code generation approaches do not comprehensively address all aspects of a model-driven code generation system, such as a textual representation of graphical models, conceptual mapping, and incorporation of behavioral diagrams. These problems limit the worth of generated code, especially in practical use. Here, we propose AJFCode, an approach for aspect-oriented model-driven code generation, which comprehensively addresses the various aspects including the graphical models and their text-based representation, mapping between visual model elements and code, and the behavioral code generation. Experiments are conducted to compare the maintainability and reusability characteristics of the aspect-oriented code generated using the AJFCode with the most comprehensive object-oriented code generation approach. AJFCode performs well in terms of all metrics related to maintainability and reusability of code. However, the most significant improvement is noticed in the separation of concerns, coupling, and cohesion. For instance, AJFCode yields significant improvement in concern diffusion over operations (19 vs 51), coupling between components (0 vs 6), and lack of cohesion in operations (5 vs 9) for one of the experimented concerns.
