GCST를 이용한 인간시각필터의 영상 잡음 제거 (Image Denoising of Human Visual Filter Using GCST)

  • 영상향상 방법 중의 하나인 잡음제거는 공간영역과 변환영역 필터링에 대해서 많은 연구가 되어 왔다. 최근에는 에너지 집중도가 탁월하고 다분해능 성질을 갖는 웨이브릿 변환이 많이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 최종 사용자가 인간인 경우에는 인간시각체계에 기반한 변환을 사용하는 것이 시각적으로 유용하므로, 본 논문에서는 인간시각필터로 고려되는 Gabor 코사인과 사인 함수를 이용한 변환을 영상 잡음제거 분야에 적용하였다. 제안한 방법은 웨이브릿 변환과 다른 종류의 인간시각필터인 Gaussian 미분 변환에 대해서 피크신호대잡음비로 잡음제거 성능을 비교하였다. 여러 가지 잡음의 3가지 레벨에 대해서 실제 영상의 실험으로부터 제안한 변환이 BWT와 DGT보다 PSNR이 각각 0.41, 0.14dB 더 좋은 결과를 얻었다.

  • The equipment of industrial robot in manufacturing and assembly lines has rapidly increased. In order to achieve high productivity and flexibility, it becomes very important to develop the visual feedback control system with Off-Line Programming System(OLPS ). We can save much efforts and time in adjusting robots to newly defined workcells by using Off-Line Programming System. A proposed visual calibration scheme is based on position-based visual feedback. The visual calibration system is composed of a personal computer, an image processing board, a video monitor, and one camera. The calibration program firstly generates predicted images of objects in an assumed end-effector position. The process to generate predicted images consists of projection to screen-coordinates, visible range test, and construction of simple silhouette figures. Then, camera images acquired are compared with predicted ones for updating position and orientation data. Computation of error is very simple because the scheme is based on perspective projection, which can be also expanded to experimental results. Computation time can be extremely reduced because the proposed method does not require the precise calculation of tree-dimensional object data and image Jacobian.

  • To prevent unwanted visual impacts of proposed projects before they are actually built, Visual Impact Assessment(VIA) is conducted in current landscape planning and management process. The application of VIA to actual projects raises some important questions: "What views will the project affect?" "What tools and techniques are effective for predicting and portraying future landscape conditions?" "Who should determine the value of the impacts?" and "How can the impacts be measured?" Types and levels of visual impacts should be decided through analyzing both the existing landscape and the proposed project. Computer-based visual simulations will play a pivotal role as effective prediction and communication tools. With professionals' assistance, the public participation in the VIA process will produce meaningful solutions for planning and managing the future landscape. Also, the use of a proper response format and sensitive assessment criteria in measuring the public's opinion will enrich outcomes of the assessment. Based on the methodological framework, the case study briefly explains an application of VIA to an actual project.

비주얼 인터데브를 이용한 웹 데이터베이스 통합 개발 사례 (A case study on the integrated development of web programming with database using visual interdev)

  • 본 연구는 웹서버와 비주얼 인터데브를 각각 서버, 클라이언트의 개념적 툴로 사용해서 인터넷이나 인트라넷상에서 웹 애플리케이션을 개발하는 방법과 이 애플리케이션에 데이터베이스를 동적으로 통합하는 사례를 보임으로써 데이터베이스 정보를 다루는 파일과 웹 페이지를 다루는 파일을 각각 따로 개발하지 않고도 비주얼 인터데브를 이용하면 하나의 통합환경 안에서 쉽고도 강력한 동적 웹데이터베이스를 개발할 수 있다는 사례를 보이고 향후 보다 적은 코딩 작업으로 보다 더 쉽게 웹 프로그램을 개발할 수 있는 기법과 원리를 제공하고자 함에 그 목적이 있다.

  • In this research, we investigated the effect of three visual feedback conditions (direct viewing, one-monitor viewing, and tow-monitors viewing) on the task performance of human operator in teloperation task. The three different level of task difficulties under each concitions were performed by thirty-six subjects. The result of the experiments was analysed by the task difficulties, and the measurements of performance are the task completion time and the frequency of task errors. In a teleoperator, the participation of a human operator is always required, and the man-machine interface and the operator's abilities is an important issue. Recently, the different types of sensory feedback conditions(force, vision, sound, tactile, etc) for teleoperation is a very active research area in ergonomics. Among them, visual feedback conditon is an important sense that can provide the information of task environment. Therefore, the sufficient understandings and investigation for human ability under various visual feedback conditions is required to establish the efficient man-machine interface of teleoperation. The result showed that the visual feecback conditions and the level of task difficulties have a significant effect on the task performance. For three level of task difficulties, the task completion time was the shortest under the condition of direct viewing. The number of task errors under the conditions of direct viewing and two-monitors viewing were reduced by more than half compare to that of one-monitor viewing.

Workspace Visibility Graph Analysis (VGA) for Concentration Privacy and Group Relations in the Open-Plan Office Environment

  • The present study explored the applicability of Visibility Graph Analysis (VGA) techniques to workplace design research. Six types of VGA measures in Depthmap encompassing visual connectivity, three types of visual integration, mean depth, and visual entropy were employed for the analysis of individual privacy for task concentration and group relationship behavior in the open-plan office environment. Data comprised 136 workers in 6 open-plan offices filled with low-paneled (1.2-1.5m) cubicle workspaces. For the statistical analysis, Spearman's rho correlations and t-tests were applied for the spatial and behavioral measures. The results showed that workspace VGA measures have a potential to be useful information to account for workers' concentration privacy and, limitedly, also informal relationships with team members. Visual entropy values especially offer reliable information to predict various aspects of office workers' privacy behavior while visual integration can be used to account for the workers' sense of trust in group relations. The study also discussed the limitation of VGA applications to the workplace context.

시각적인 상상연습 훈련과 운동 감각적인 상상연습 훈련이 편마비 환자의 균형능력에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Motor Imagery Training with Visual and Kinesthetic Imagery Training on Balance Ability in Post Stroke Hemiparesis)

  • Purpose : This study aimed to compare the effect of two conditions (visual and kinesthetic) of motor imagery training on static and dynamic balance. Methods : Fifteen patients with post-stroke hemiparesis volunteered to participate in this study. Two motor imagery training conditions, for 10minute trials, employed with audiotape instructions. Measurements were performed at pretest, posttest and 1-hour follow up in both static and dynamic balance. Results : Measures were significantly different both static and dynamic balance tests between treatment conditions (kinesthetic imagery more than visual imagery) at the pretest, post test, and 1-hour follow-up (p<.05). Measures of both static and dynamic balance tests, for both conditions, improved significantly from pretest to posttest (p<.05), and was maintained at 1-hour follow up. Conclusion : This study showed that both imagery training applications were effective treatment strategies for both static and dynamic balance. When comparing the two treatment conditions, kinesthetic motor imagery training was more effective than the visual motor imagery training in static and dynamic balance.

창의성 증진을 위한 언어적.시각적 유추의 효과검증 - 실험집단과 비교집단의 비교를 중심으로 한 실험연구 - (A Study on Effect Verification of Verbal and Visual Analogy for Creativity Enhancement - Experimental Study Focused on the Comparison of Experimental Group and Comparative Group -)

  • Personal creativity could be promoted and improved through many experience, training and various prior knowledge. This researcher had proceeded several preceding studies to find effective using methods of analogy for creativity enhancement. This study, following work of preceding studies aims to verify the effects of verbal and visual analogy for creativity improvement. Effect verification had been progressed by comparing the residential design results of two groups which are classified an experimental group consisted of sophomore college students with a comparative group consisted of sophomore university students. Consequently, the experimental group that had undergone many training on verbal and visual analogy in several preceding studies is superior to the comparative group in terms of creative design rate, sketch rate with high quality. Through this result it is verified that the using methods of verbal and visual analogy is very effective on creativity enhancement in interior design process. But the limitation of this study is that there were a few populations. Nevertheless, interdisciplinary this study will be used as a practical one to suggest a model on a teaching method and a theory for creativity improvement in interior design education.

시각암호의 휘도 개선을 위한 새로운 구성법 (New Construction Scheme for Improving Contrast in Visual Cryptography)

  • 시각암호는 복잡한 암호학적 연산 없이 인간의 시각에 의해 비밀정보를 직접 복원할 수 있는 간단한 방식이다. 이 방식은 영상 형태의 비밀정보를 n개의 랜덤한 영상(슬라이드)으로 분산시킬 때, 각 화소가 화장되면서 복원영상의 크기가 커지고 휘도가 떨어지는 결정이 있다. 따라서, 확장 화소의 수를 줄이고 휘도를 개선하는 연구가 많이 이루어져 오고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기저행렬의 행을 중첩시켜 (k, n)시각암호의 휘도를 개선하기 위한 새로운 구성법을 제안하고, 그룹 내 n개의 슬라이드 중 k개 이상의 슬라이드를 선택하는 방법에 따라 복수의 휘도를 갖는 (k, n) 시각암호를 구성할 수 있음을 보인다.

내용기반 비디오 검색을 위한 MPEG-7 비주얼 디스크립터 분석 (The Analysis of Visual Descriptors for Content-based Video Retrieval)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 멀티미디어 내용을 표현하기 위해 제정된 MPEG-7의 비주얼 디스크립터를 설명하고 분석하기 위한 것이다. MPEG-7의 비주얼 디스크립터는 컬러, 모양, 질감, 모션으로 구성되어 있으며 이들 각각의 요소들에 대해 예제 및 응용분야와 더불어서 자세히 설명하고 있다. 마지막으로 본 연구에서는 이들 비주얼 디스크립터에 대한 전반적인 응용분야를 기술하고 있다. 이러한 비주얼 디스크립터들은 다양한 모양의 멀티미디어 내용을 인간의 개입 없이 자동으로 풍부하고 상세하게 표현할 수 있으며 내용 표현의 일관성을 유지하게 함으로써 멀티미디어 검색의 성능을 향상시킬 뿐 아니라 시스템간의 상호운영성을 향상 시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
