During the period of 1950s and 1960s extreme changes in political, economic, social and cultural environments had a great influence on family ethics, since the western civilization had been introduced to this nation in late 19th century. This paper studied the family ethics during the above periods by interviewing elders(average age 77) who had couple relations at that time focusing the followings. During the period, ① what is the view of family? ② what are the actual sapects and characteristics of married couple ethics? ③ what are the actual aspects and characteristics of the ethics between parents and their children? The results of this study are as follows; ① The indispensable requisite of the parents is a son who functions as the tool for enhancing social position of their family rather than succession of them. The nuclear family is regraded ideal, but the concept of nuclear family of them is far different from that of western. ② The married couples accepts the given couple relations in the name of bringing up their children. The ideal image of wife is traditional wifely virtues and that of husband is ability of making money. ③ The parents emphasize education and success of their children for enhancing the social position of their family, while they still require some degree of moral standards to their children. The parents believe that the best filial piety is making good lives of their children's own, which is somewhat different from the traditional filial piety norm.

The reduction of the Vehicle interior noise has been the main interest of NVH engineers. The driver's perception on the vehicle noise is affected largely by psychoacoustic characteristic of the noise as well as the SPL. The previous methods to evaluation of the SQ about vehicle interior noise are linear regression analysis of subjective SQ metrics by statistics and the estimation of the subjective SQ values by neural network. But these are so depended on jury test very much that they result in many difficulties. So, to reduce jury test weight, we suggested a new method using Mahalanobis distance for SQ evaluation. And, optimal characteristic values influenced on the result of the SQ evaluation were derived by signal to noise ratio(SN ratio) of the Taguchi method. Finally, the new method to evaluate SQ is constructed using Mahalanobis-Taguchi system(MTS). Furthermore, the MTS method for SQ evaluation was compared by the result of SQ grade table at the previous study and their virtues and faults introduced.

This paper is concerned with designing and implementing the Internet shopping mall by using virtual reality-driven avatar and web decision support system. Traditionally, the Internet shopping mall has been designed based on the combination of several hyperlinks, images, and texts. However, this sort of approach results in a lower performance because possible customers cannot make more accurate shopping decisions. To overcome this kind of pitfalls facing the current Internet shopping malls, we propose using a combination of virtual reality and web DSS. The main virtues of our proposed approach to designing the Internet shopping mall are as follows: First, the virtual reality technique is emerging as one of alternative guaranteeing a sense of reality for customers part and facilitating the complex process of shopping decision makings. Especially, the avatar, which is an artificially designed man working on the Internet, can make easy and absorbing the Internet shopping-related decision making processes. Second, the web DSS approach can provide an effective decision support mechanism for customers. Especially, we design a set of intelligent agents for the proposed web DSS. Experimental results with an illustrative example showed that our proposed approach can yield a new Internet shopping mall paradigm with which customers can benefit from a high level of decision support functions.

This study was performed to approach the 2004 case of inferior quality mandu stuffing from the stance of food ethics. The court convicted the producers of inferior quality mandu stuffing and also decided against the plaintiffs who filed a damage suit. The core of the mandu stuffing case was not safety, but the wholesomeness. The principles of food ethics include a respect for life, justice, environmental preservation, and the priority of safety. The virtues of food professionals include wisdom, honesty, faithfulness, courage, moderation, and integrity. A food producer should possess not only the ability but also the morality to make food. The consumer should urge the producers to strengthen their morality and be conscious of responsibility and fairness. The government should organize a system to establish food ethics, and make efforts to reduce wasteful law enforcement. The media should lead public opinion toward justice by doing an unbiased and in-depth report and help establish the idea of food ethics. The necessity of food ethics and the spread of the ethical mind are the most important points of all.

A high step-down multiple-output LED driver is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the derivation of the driver with dual-output is presented and its operation principle and steady state performance are analyzed in detail. Secondly, a high step-down N-channel LED driver is proposed and its current auto-balance characteristic and step-down ratio are analyzed. Finally, an experimental prototype is built and the experimental results are given. The theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the proposed driver has the following virtues: First, if load balancing is achieved, the voltage gain is 1/N that of a Buck driver, where N is the number of channels. Second, each output automatically has an equal output current, without requiring more current close-loop control circuits than a Buck driver. Last, the voltage stresses of the switches and diodes are lower than those of a Buck driver, meaning that lower voltage switches and diodes can be used, and a higher efficiency can be expected.

인간의 모든 행위가 그러하듯 VTS 관제 역시 관제사의 마음에서 시작된다. 관제의 시작이 되는 심리적 동기(마음)는 집단무의식, 공포, 책임감, 인간애로 대별되며 이들은 관제사를 각성시키고 관제 전반을 지배한다. 그 중 상위요소(책임감, 인간애)는 기반요소에 비해 보다 긍정적으로 관제 행위에 적용되므로 VTS 운영 목적인 해상교통안전 달성을 위한 효과적인 수단이 될 수 있다. 관제사가 이러한 덕성을 함양할 수 있도록 교육 과정의 개선이 필요하다.

In this paper, we discuss how to design 2-wheeled mobile robot hard wares as reasonable and practical as possible. A segway type mobile robot consists of 2 wheels only, placed in parallel rather than horizon. 2-wheeled mobile robots make you overcome high cost and time consuming maintenance procedures of the robot by reducing the number of robot hardwares. The most challenging thing in a 2-wheeled mobile robot that has many more valid virtues than the traditional mobile robots is to make it balance itself whenever it stands still or goes forward. But balancing itself is not an easy matter and there are many researches and experiments on this issue. When researchers test theories on 2-wheeled mobile robots to improve its self balancing performance, they should consider how to design hard wares of that mobile robot. No matter how great those new theories are, if a testbed for those theories is not suitable, performance output would be poor and meaningless. In this point of view, to design a proper 2-wheeled mobile robot as a testbed is a very important issue with development of new theories. So we define 4 guide lines to design segway type mobile robots reasonably; about motor, battery, and MCU selection and shock-proof design with robust motor setting.

There is much architectural and engineering literature which discusses the virtues of exterior bracing and diagrid systems in regards to sustainability - two systems which generally reduce building materials, enhance structural performance, and decrease overall construction cost. By surveying past, present as well as possible future towers, this paper examines another attribute of these structural systems - the blend of structural functionality and aesthetics. Given the external nature of these structural systems, diagrids and exterior bracings can visually communicate the inherent structural logic of a building while also serving as a medium for artistic effect. Viewed in this light, the visual appeal of these systems can be enhanced to give a tower a more distinct urban identity. This entails the creation of structural elements that are aesthetically pleasing, geometrically coherent and that demonstrate dexterity of application in regards to a building's composition, while also respecting the laws of physics and mechanics. In this fashion, an artistic approach can exhibit structural systems as not just purely rational features that enable the construction of tall buildings, but as important visual components that afford opportunities for creative expression. This paper, therefore, synthesizes the concepts of structural performance and creative artistry to facilitate a better understanding of the aesthetic developments in skyscrapers worldwide.

The purpose of this study is to find out why Whitney Houston gave healing to people around the world based on Shin Jae-hyo's gwangdaeron (clown theory). In Korean music, gwangdae (廣大, the title of clown) is a nickname dedicated to outstanding artists. Not only is it a clown that cannot be a person, but it does not give a clown a nickname for doing art activities. This is why Shin Jae-hyo, a pansori (Pansori epic chant) theorist and critic in the late 19th century of the Joseon Dynasty, presented the virtues of outstanding artists. There are four outstanding clown conditions claimed by Shin Jae-hyo: appearance (人物), words (辭說), perfect vocal music (得音) and wonderful movements (neoreumsae). These conditions show how difficult it is to be a gwangdae (a prominent artist), or an accomplished artist. We think Whitney Houston is a famous singer who fits these conditions. In her heyday, she was optimized for Shin Jae-hyo's clown theory, while her post-2007 moves are regrettable. However, it is clear that he is a singer who fits well with the title of America's greatest clown. In conclusion, I felt that the best emotion through music was the best healing, and that the best singer was becoming the best healer.
