절삭력 모델 기반의 소프트웨어를 이용한 선삭가공최적화 (Turning Machining Optimization using Software Based on Cutting Force Model)

  • Increased productivity and cost reduction have emerged as the main goals of the industry due to the development of the machinery industry, and mechanical materials with excellent properties with the development of the machine tool industry are widely used in machine parts or structures. In addition, the cutting process of production plays a pivotal role in the production technology. Studies on cutting have involved a lot of research on the material, the cutting tool, the processing conditions, and numerical analysis. Due to the development of the computer through numerical analysis, cutting conditions, the assessment of cutting performance, and cutting quality could be predicted. This research uses the creation of the material model and AdvantEdge Production module for the NC code analysis. To improve the productivity, this research employs the optimization method to reduce cutting time.

공기 베어링 주축의 자동설계시스템 개발 (Development of the Automated Calculation System for Air-Bearing Spindle)

  • Recently the use of high-speed equipment in machine-tool industry has greatly increased, which requires the development of prognostics and prediction methods on the design stage. Conversion of the test/experiments stage from real to virtual reality will not only significantly reduce the design and manufacturing cost, but will also increase design quality. This paper shows how it is possible to develop the automated system for the design calculations of the air-bearing spindles. First, the general calculation method is introduced. It contains several steps, namely, geometry identification, pressure calculation, stiffiness calculation, dynamics characteristics calculation. For geometry identification reducing spindle shaft to rings was proposed, which helps to automate the calculation process. For pressure calculation the Peshti method was implemented. For stiffiness calculation the analysis was made, which shown the necessity of correct calculation step selection. Then the system of ordinary differential equations containing influence coefficients was evolved, which is used for trjectories calculation. The graphical representation of the calculation results shows the dynamic behavior of the spindle unit concerning various working conditions. Finally, this automated system is illustrated by an example of the air-bearing spindle calculation.

  • Among the optimization method, GA (genetic algorithm) is a very powerful searching method enough to compete with design sensitivity analysis method. GA is very easy to apply, since it dose not require any design sensitivity information. However, GA has been computationally not efficient due to huge repetitive computation. In this study, parallel computation is adopted to Improve computational efficiency, Paralleled GA is introduced on a clustered LINUX based personal computer system.

초정밀 대면적 미세 형상 가공기의 구조 특성 해석 (Structural Characteristic Analysis of an Ultra-Precision Machine for Machining Large-Surface Micro-Features)

  • In recent years, research to machine large-surface micro-features has become important because of the light guide panel of a large-scale liquid crystal display and the bipolar plate of a high-capacity proton exchange membrane fuel cell. In this study, in order to realize the systematic design technology and performance improvements of an ultra-precision machine for machining the large-surface micro-features, a structural characteristic analysis was performed using its virtual prototype. The prototype consisted of gantry-type frame, hydrostatic feed mechanisms, linear motors, brushless DC servo motor, counterbalance mechanism, and so on. The loop stiffness was estimated from the relative displacement between the tool post and C-axis table, which was caused by a cutting force. Especially, the causes of structural stiffness deterioration were identified through the structural deformation analysis of sub-models.

  • Virtual computer numerical control(VCNC) arises from the concept that one can experience pseudo-real machining with a computer-numerically-controlled(CNC) machine before actually cutting an object. To achieve accurate VCNC, it is important to determine abnormal behavior, such as chatter, before cutting. Detecting chatter requires an understanding of the dynamic cutting force model. In general, the cutting process is a closed loop system that consists of structural and cutting dynamics. Machining instability, namely chatter, results from the interaction between these two dynamics. Several previous reports have predicted stability for a single path, using a simple cutting force model without tool runout and penetration effects. This study considers both tool runout and penetration effects, using experimental modal analysis, to obtain more accurate predictions. The machining stability in the corner cut, which is a typical transient cut, was assessed from an evaluation of the cutting configurations at the corner.

  • 탑 드라이브 장비는 드릴 비트에 회전력을 전달하여 굴착을 하게하는 장치이며, 1983년 Derrick Drilling Machine의 Kelly Rotary Table로 시작하여, 1984년에 DDM 650 DC가 등장함으로써 본격적으로 개발 되기 시작했다. 이러한 탑 드라이브 장비는 미국의 N사와 노르웨이 A사가 전 세계 시장의 90% 이상을 점유하고 있으며, 이로 인하여 탑 드라이브 장비의 세계시장 진입과 장비에 대한 정보가 제한적일 수 밖에 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 제한된 정보를 통하여 신뢰성을 가지는 제품을 개발하기 위한 절차 및 방법에 대하여 소개하고자 한다. 설계 오류 및 신뢰성이 검증된 제품 디자인을 위하여 3D Tool을 사용하였으며, 이를 활용하여 설계오류, 간섭체크, 기능체크, 구조강도 해석 등을 수행하여 제품의 신뢰성을 사전 검증 하였다.

  • Moire topography method isa well-known non-contacting 3-D measurement method as afast non-contact test for three-dimension shape measuring method. Recently, it's important to study the automatic three-dimension measurement by moire topography because it is frequently applied to the reverse engineering , the medical , the entertainment fields. Three-dimension measurement using projection of moire topography is very attractive because of its high measuring speed and high sensitivity. In this paper, the classical moire method is computerized-so called digital moire when a virtual grating pattern is projected on a surface, the captured image by the CCD camera has three-dimension information of the objects. The moire image can be obtained through a simple image processing and a reference grating pattern. and it provides similar results without physical grating pattern. digital projection moire topography turn out to be very effective for the three-dimension measurement of objects. Using different N-bucket algorithm method of digital projection moire topography is tested to measuring object with the 2-ambiguity problem. Experimental results prove that the proposed scheme is capable of finding measurement errors that decreased more by using the four-three step algorithm method instead of the same step in the phase shifting of different pitch.

VM의 자동 변수 생성 방식 기반 모바일 지급결제 시스템 (A Mobile Payment System Based-on an Automatic Random-Number Generation in the Virtual Machine)

  • 이동전화가 전자상거래와 온라인 뱅킹의 새로운 수단으로 등장하고 있다. 모바일 기기를 통한 모바일 지급결제는 인터넷 결제나 소액결제 등에서 대중적으로 이용되며 새로운 결제수단으로 각광받고 있다. 하지만 현재의 모바일 지급결제는 소액에 치중하고 있으며 안전하고 표준화된 기술의 미비 등의 문제가 해결해 되어야할 과제로 떠오르고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 모바일 지급결제 서비스의 정의와 유형을 알아보고 모바일 지급결제 서비스에서의 인증의 의미와 각 지급결제 서비스의 인증방식에 대해 살펴보았다. 또한 각 인증방식들에서의 사고유형과 그 원인 그리고 그에 따른 대책을 알아보고, 현시점에서 그 대책이 실제 적용되기까지의 긴 시간동안 기존 설비나 휴대폰의 하드웨어를 추가 또는 변형하지 않는 범위 안에서 실현 가능한 새로운 인증절차를 제안하였다. 본 논문이 제안한 인증기법은 휴대폰의 VM을 이용한 결제로서 기존 SMS로 전달된 난수를 입력하는 방식의 문제점으로 지적되는 전달 내용에 대한 타인의 도용 위험성을 줄이기 위해 사용자가 직접 본인의 휴대폰에서 결제용 VM을 구동 난수를 확인하여 난수를 사이트에 입력하는 방식을 사용한다. VM 다운로드 후 처음 사용시 다운받은 VM의 S/N을 서버에 등록하여 VM을 구동할 때마다 S/N과 휴대폰 번호를 매칭한 후 난수를 부여하여 기존 휴대폰 통합 과금 서비스에서는 하기 어려운 점이었던 등록된 폰 이외의 불법 복제된 폰의 결제를 막을 수 있게 하였다. 또 난수 발급시 사용되는 매개체를 SMS발송에서 47 byte 패킷통신으로 대체하여 난수를 발급할 때 소요되는 시간을 대폭 줄이고 결제할 때 소요되는 비용을 기존의 1/3로 절감 하였다.

자동차 프레스 금형 설계를 위한 3차원 CAD 시스템의 개발 (Development of Three-dimensional CAD System for Die Design for Automotive Body Panels)

  • Recently three-dimensional (3-D) die design and production process has been widely introduced into the tooling shops of automotive manufacturers to reduce time-to-production of brand-new automobiles. 3-D solid models created in CAD systems are used not only for various simulations for design verification, but also for NC tool path generation to machine dies and their Styrofoam patterns. However, a lot of time and cost will be required to build solid models for dies if designers use only the generalized modeling capabilities of commercial 3-D CAD systems. To solve this problem, it is necessary to customize 3-D CAD system for the specific die design and manufacturing process. This paper describes a dedicated 3-D CAD system based on Unigraphics for die design for automotive body panels. The system provides not only 3-D design capabilities, but also standard part libraries, to enhance design productivity. The design process modeling technology has been introduced to facilitate redesign of the die for the modified panel. By introducing this system, dies can be designed more rapidly in the 3-D space, and their solid data can be directly transferred to CAM tools for NC tool path generation and simulation tools for virtual manufacturing.

Since solid die models are useful not only for simulations for design verification, but also for NC tool path generation to machine dies and their Styrofoam patterns, 3-D CAD systems have been introduced in the tooling shop of automotive manufacturers. However, the work to build solid models requires a lot of time and effort if the designer uses only the general modeling capabilities of commercial 3-D CAD systems. To solve this problem, we customized a 3-D CAD system for the drawing die design. The system provides not only 3-D design capabilities, but also standard part libraries to enhance design productivity.
