Many automobile manufacturers are doing experiment on manufacturing environments by using an augmented reality technology. However, system layout and process simulation by using the virtual reality technology have been performed actively more than by using the augmented reality technology in practical use so far. Existing automobile assembly by using the augmented reality requires the precise calibrating work after setting the robot because the existing augmented reality system for the automobile assembly system configuration does not include the end tip deflection and the robot joints deflection due to the heavy weight of product and gripper. Because the robot is used mostly at the automobile assembly, the deflection problem of the robot joint and the product in the existing augmented reality system need to be improved. Moreover camera lens calibration has to be performed precisely to use augmented reality. In order to improve this problem, this paper introduces a method of the software based calibration to apply the augmented reality effectively to the automobile assembly system. On the other hand, the camera lens calibration module and the direct compensation module of the virtual object displacement for the augmented reality were designed and implemented. Furthermore, the developed automobile assembly system oriented AR-system was verified by the practical test.

For virtual reality, virtual manufacturing system, or simulation based design, we need to visualize very large and complex 3D models which are comprising of very large number of polygons. To overcome the limited hardware performance and to attain smooth realtime visualization, there have been many researches about algorithms which reduce the number of polygons to be processed by graphics hardware. One of these algorithms, occlusion culling is a method of rejecting the objects which are not visible because they are occluded by other objects, and then passing only the visible objects to graphics hardware. Existing occlusion culling algorithms have some shortcomings such as the required long preprocessing time, the limitation of occluder shape, or the need for special hardware implementation. In this study, an efficient occlusion culling algorithm is proposed. The proposed algorithm reads and analyzes Z-buffer of graphics hardware using Microsoft DirectX, and then determines each object's visibility. This proposed algorithm can speed up visualization by reading Z-buffer using DirectX which can access hardware directly compared to OpenGL, by reading only the region to which each object is projected instead of reading the whole Z-Buffer, and the proposed algorithm can perform more exact visibility test by using simplified model instead of using bounding box. For evaluation, the proposed algorithm was applied to very large polygonal models. And smooth realtime visualization was attained.

The dynamic explicit finite element method and the static implicit finite element method are applied effectively to analyze total auto-body panel stamping processes, which include the forming stage , the trimming stage and the spring-back stage.\The explicit time integration method has better merits in the forming stage including highly complicated three-dimensional contact conditions. On the contrary, the implicit time integration method is better for analyzing spring-back since the complicated contact conditions are removed and the computing time to get the final static state is short. In this work, brief descriptions of the formulation and the factor study are presented. Further, the simulated results for the total auto-body panel stamping processes are shown and discussed. The formability and the weld line movement in stamping with Tailor Welded Blanks were investigated through QTR-OTR-FRT.

In this paper, a new architecture of operating software associated with the component-based method is proposed. The proposed architecture comprises 문 execution module and a decision-making module. In order to make effective development and maintenance, the execution module is divided into three components. The components are referred to as Symbol, Gateway, and Control, respectively: The symbol component is for the GUI environments and the standard interfaces; the gateway component is for the network communication and the structure of asynchronous processes; the control component is for the asynchronous processing and machine setting or operations. In order to verify the proposed architecture, and off-line version of operating software is made, and its steps are as follows; I) Make virtual execution modules for the manufacturing devices such as dual-arm robot, handling robot, CNC, and sensor; ii) Make decision-making module; iii) Integrate the modules and GUI using a well-known development tools such as Microsofts Visual Basic; iv) Execute the overall operating software to validate the proposed architecture. The proposed software architecture in this paper has the advantages such as independent development of each module, easy development of network communication, and distributed processing of resources, and so on.

To reduce these costs and time by finite element analysis program has been much research (3~4). At virtual CAE program as like Abaques, Ansys, Ls-dyna and Nastran, the input data of material is got bellow coupon test. In case of carbon composite, it is also put in lamina/laminate properties. There have big problem. If you want to simulate FW(filament winding or wind blade) how do you input material data. Each area of FW is different stacking conditions. It's too hard that each area is tested for inputting lamina or laminate properties. The composite structure increasing load is applied occurred as the matrix dependence of the crack-induced nonlinearity and nonlinear mobility appears since the initial damage. And uni-direction for this research applies the theory to have been confined to. On this study, we are going to get basically fiber properties and matrix than carbon composite properties for simulating according stacking method by GENOA-MCQ. It is help to simulate easily composite material. Also Calculate the matrix nonlinear for simulating non-linear.

This study presents a chatter vibration avoidance program for the milling process. Chatter vibration has a negative effect on workpieces and spindle-tools. When chatter vibration occurs, the cutting tool is loaded dynamically, a chatter pattern is generated on the workpiece, and the tool life is reduced. The developed program is composed of various modules such as an FFT analyzer, an impact test analyzer, a chatter vibration indicator, and a spindle speed recommender. The proposed program is verified using an AISI D2 cutting experiment in milling process. The effect of chatter vibration on the machining condition can be simulated by the suggested method, and successfully exploited to avoid chatter vibration.

Increased productivity and cost reduction have emerged as the main goals of the industry due to the development of the machinery industry, and mechanical materials with excellent properties with the development of the machine tool industry are widely used in machine parts or structures. In addition, the cutting process of production plays a pivotal role in the production technology. Studies on cutting have involved a lot of research on the material, the cutting tool, the processing conditions, and numerical analysis. Due to the development of the computer through numerical analysis, cutting conditions, the assessment of cutting performance, and cutting quality could be predicted. This research uses the creation of the material model and AdvantEdge Production module for the NC code analysis. To improve the productivity, this research employs the optimization method to reduce cutting time.
An advanced model for the linear flutter analysis is introduced in this paper. Higher-order beam structural models are developed by using the Carrera Unified Formulation, which allows for the straightforward implementation of arbitrarily rich displacement fields without the need of a-priori kinematic assumptions. The strong form of the principle of virtual displacements is used to obtain the equations of motion and the natural boundary conditions for beams in free vibration. An exact dynamic stiffness matrix is then developed by relating the amplitudes of harmonically varying loads to those of the responses. The resulting dynamic stiffness matrix is used with particular reference to the Wittrick-Williams algorithm to carry out free vibration analyses. According to the doublet lattice method, the natural mode shapes are subsequently used as generalized motions for the generation of the unsteady aerodynamic generalized forces. Finally, the g-method is used to conduct flutter analyses of both isotropic and laminated composite lifting surfaces. The obtained results perfectly match those from 1D and 2D finite elements and those from experimental analyses. It can be stated that refined beam models are compulsory to deal with the flutter analysis of wing models whereas classical and lower-order models (up to the second-order) are not able to detect those flutter conditions that are characterized by bending-torsion couplings.
The start of the Fourth Industrial Revolution has brought about various changes in the domestic industry in general, and smart factories have spread to companies in the fields of production, manufacturing and logistics, and they are using automation equipment. Especially in the field of logistics automation, AGVs are widely used, and most of them use the line guidance system, which is the traditional AGV drive system. In addition, the demand for AGV system developers, system operators and managers, and maintenance personnel is increasing, and the installation of systems for education is expensive and requires a large space to utilize. It is a situation where systematic education is difficult. In this paper, we propose a virtual simulation-based AGV distance education model for smooth practice of trainees. The proposed model consisted of a model that can drive the AGV by analyzing video information, instead of the line guidance method that is the conventional technology. As a result of self-diagnosis evaluation, it was confirmed that the experimental group through online education had an average satisfaction level of 0.65 higher than the control group using existing equipment, and that it could be used in an online education environment.
