자유 진동 실험을 통한 VRS-RTK 기법을 이용한 골조 구조물의 모니터링 적용성 검토 (Verification on the Application of Monitoring for Frame Structures Using the VRS-RTK Method through the Free Vibration Test)

  • 건물의 풍진동을 모니터링 하기 위해, 두 개 (이동국과 기준국)의 global positioning system (GPS)에 기반한 종래의 real-time kinematic (RTK) 기법이 널리 적용되고 있다. 그러나 이는 기준국을 위한 공간을 확보하거나 유지 관리하는데 어려움을 겪을 수 있다. 한편, 최근에 하나의 이동국 만을 이용하여 구조물의 움직임을 계측할 수 있는 새로운 virtual reference station (VRS)-RTK 기법이 개발되었으며, 측량 분야에서 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 골조 구조물의 횡방향 구조 응답을 모니터링하기 위한 VRS-RTK 기법의 적용성을 평가하기 위해 단층 골조 모형 (1차 고유진동수 : 1 Hz)과 3층 골조 모형 (1차 고유진동수 : 0.85 Hz)의 자유진동 실험을 수행하였다. GPS에 의해 계측된 변위 및 가속도 응답의 신뢰성을 평가하기 위해, 레이져 변위계와 가속도계가 설치되었으며, 이들로부터 얻은 계측값을 GPS의 계측값과 비교하였다. 또한, 건물의 지속적인 모니터링을 위한 적절한 계측 샘플링 수를 파악하기 위해, 변위 응답에서의 오차가 각기 다른 GPS 샘플링 수 (5, 10, 20 Hz)에서 평가되었다. 실험 결과, GPS으로부터 얻은 변위 및 가속도 응답은 레이져 변위계와 가속계로부터 얻은 응답과 좋은 유사 관계를 가지는 것을 확인하였다. 그리고, GPS 샘플링 수가 증가할수록 변위 오차는 감소하였으며, 3층 실험체에 대해서는 20 Hz의 GPS 샘플링 수로 구조물의 전 모드 성분 (1, 2, 3차 모드)을 검출할 수 있었다.

  • In the development of sheet-handling .machinery, it is important to predict the static and dynamic behavior of the sheets with a high degree of reliability because the sheets are fed and stacked at suck a high speed flexible media behaves geometric nonlinearity of large displacement and small strain. In this paper, static analysis of flexible media are performed by FEM considering geometric nonlinearity. Linear stiffness matrix and geometric nonlinear stiffness matrix based m the updated Lagrangian approach are derived using $C^1$ beam element and numerical simulations are performed by Updated Newton-Raphson(UNR) method.

배경의 특징 추적을 이용한 물체의 이동 거리 추정 및 정확도 평가 (A Distance Estimation Method of Object′s Motion by Tracking Field Features and A Quantitative Evaluation of The Estimation Accuracy)

  • This paper describes a distance estimation method of object's motion in soccer image sequence by tracking field features. And we quantitatively evaluate the estimation accuracy We suppose that the input image sequence is taken with a camera on static axis and includes only zooming and panning transformation between frames. Adaptive template matching is adopted for non-rigid object tracking. For background compensation, feature templates selected from reference frame image are matched in following frames and the matched feature point pairs are used in computing Affine motion parameters. A perspective displacement field model is used for estimating the real distance between two position on Input Image. To quantitatively evaluate the accuracy of the estimation, we synthesized a 3 dimensional virtual stadium with graphic tools and experimented on the synthesized 2 dimensional image sequences. The experiment shows that the average of the error between the actual moving distance and the estimated distance is 1.84%.

  • In-process diagnosis is essential to achieve predictive maintenance in industrial plants. An in- process diagnosis method was proposed for hydraulic servo systems, which was based upon leakage flow measurement. Leakage due to servovalve wear was analysed and modeled mathematically far computer simulation work. The key idea of diagnosis algorithm is that when monitoring signals, such as servovalve input and load displacement are in steady states, the return-line flow of hydraulic servo systems can be regarded as null-leakage of servovalve. Virtual experiments were performed to ensure effectiveness of the proposed diagnosis method.

  • The fracture characteristics of unidirectional composite single-lap bonded joints were investigated experimentally and numerically. The effects of bonding method, surface roughness, bondline thickness and the existence of fillet on the failure characteristics and strength of bonded single-lap joints were evaluated experimentally. The failure process, failure mode and the behavior of load-displacement curve was apparently different according to bonding method. The failure load of the specimen co-cured without adhesive was definitely superior to other types of specimens but the specimens co-cured with adhesive film had a less strength than secondary bonded specimens. In the secondary bonded specimens, the lower value of surface roughness and existence of fillet improved the strength of specimens. The strain energy release rates calculated by geometric nonlinear finite element analyses and Virtual Crack Closure Technique for the secondary bonded specimens considering the three types of initial cracks - comer crack, edge crack and delamination crack - were consistent with the test results.

Contact surface element method for two-dimensional elastic contact problems

  • The stiffness matrix of a two-dimensional contact surface element is deduced from the principle of virtual work. The incremental loading procedure used is controlled by displacement and stress. Special potential contact elements are used to avoid the need to rearrange the FEM mesh due to variations of the contact surface as contact develops. Published results are used to validate the method, which is then applied to a turbine to solve the contact problem between the blade root and rotor in the region in which a 'push fit' connects the blade to its rotor.

Forced vibration of an embedded single-walled carbon nanotube traversed by a moving load using nonlocal Timoshenko beam theory

  • Dynamic analysis of an embedded single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) traversed by a moving nanoparticle, which is modeled as a moving load, is investigated in this study based on the nonlocal Timoshenko beam theory, including transverse shear deformation and rotary inertia. The governing equations and boundary conditions are derived by using the principle of virtual displacement. The Galerkin method and the direct integration method of Newmark are employed to find the dynamic response of the SWCNT. A detailed parametric study is conducted to study the influences of the nonlocal parameter, aspect ratio of the SWCNT, elastic medium constant and the moving load velocity on the dynamic responses of SWCNT. For comparison purpose, free vibration frequencies of the SWCNT are obtained and compared with a previously published study. Good agreement is observed. The results show that the above mentioned effects play an important role on the dynamic behaviour of the SWCNT.

  • This paper described the forces analysis of a hybrid linear pulse motor (HLPM) with high accuracy and repeatability. The HLPM is fed from a phase current by microstepping drive. The finite element method (FEM) is employed for calculating the force. The forces between mover(forcer) and stator(platen) have been calculated using the virtual work method. The detent force, rate of tooth width to tooth pitch and magnetic saturation were analyzed to considered the distortion characteristics of static thrust. The thrust to displacement produced a high pulsating force while the normal force is much higher than the thrust force.

  • This paper studies electro-magneto-mechanical bending studying of the cylindrical panels based on shear deformation theory. The cylindrical panel is constrained with two simply-supported edges at longitudinal direction and two clamped boundary conditions at circumferential direction. The governing equations are derived based on the principle of virtual work in cylindrical coordinate system. Levy-type solution of the governing equations is derived to reduce two dimensional PDEs to a 2D ODEs. The reduced ordinary differential equation is solved using the Eigen-value Eigen-vector method for the clamped-clamped boundary condition. The electro-magneto-mechanical bending results are obtained to show that every displacement, rotation and electromagnetic potentials how change with changes of initial electromagnetic potentials and mechanical loads along longitudinal and circumferential directions.

  • 본 연구에서는 스프링힌지, 클램프, 단순지지, 탄성지반, 다수의 병진 및 회 전스프링 그리고 중간지지점의 조합으로 구성되어 있는 보에 대하여 우선 Hamilton원 리에 의하여 정확한 보의 특성방정식을 유도하고 모든 경계조건을 만족하는 직교다항 식을 구한 후, 스프링, 댐퍼로 구성된 여러개의 질량이 일정한 속도로 이동할 경우에 대하여 Galerkin방법과 수치적분 방법을 사용하여 동적응답을 구하였다. 또한 구속 조건 및 경계조건이 변함에 따라 동적응답에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다.
