Thermal power plants play an important role in the country's power supply, but often violate the Industrial Safety and Health Act due to lack of safety awareness about the incompatibility of electrical safety and safety facilities. In this study, safety diagnosis was performed for each of the five major thermal power plants in Korea. For the 18 sites including coal, LNG, and power plants, we investigate the main violations of Article 327 and conduct intensive analysis on repetitive electrical safety violations to propose preventive measures that meet the characteristics of the power plant.

To prevent safety hazards in dangerous working area, we have proposed an intelligent image analysis system. Six common patterns of safety violations of workers' are defined and its motion detection algorithms are developed for alarm to CCTV monitoring system. Developed algorithms are implemented at 195 dangerous areas such as chemical and gas treated room. The results of violated motion detection ratio by developed system shows 94.95% of true positive cases, and 0.21% of false positive cases from all 587,645 event cases in one month implementation period. In the period, it is observed that the number of safety rule violations and the following accidents are decreased.

This paper reviews and analyzes the ethical issues of multinational corporations (MNCs) in Africa. First, we find that the transparency and institutions of a host country have a negative relationship with the number of ethical violations of the MNCs. Second, this covers the effects of industry characteristics on each category of ethical issues such as the human rights and the environment. Based on the database of "Ethical Consumer", we show that the Auto, Chemical, Finance, and Telecommunication industries are more likely to violate human rights issues, and that Mining, Oil, Cosmetics, and Chemical industries are more likely to pollute the environments. Further, the country of origin does matter: the US and Asian companies are more likely to be involved with the business ethics violations than are their European counterparts.

교통량이 증가됨에 따라 높아지는 사고율을 줄이기 위해 효율적이며, 다양한 교통 위반 단속이 요구되고 있다. 기존의 유무인 교통법규 위반 단속 시스템의 도입으로 단속 구역 확대를 시도하고 있으나 높은 비용의 문제로 한정된 지역에서만 실시되고 있다. 해당 문제 해결을 위해 본 논문에서는 딥러닝 실시간 객체인식기술을 적용하여 차량의 교통법규 위반을 인식하며 이에 대한 정보를 제공하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 실시간 객체인식 알고리즘인 YOLOv4와 실시간 객체추적기술인 deepSORT 알고리즘을 데스크톱 PC에 적용하여 구현하였다. 개발한 시스템은 과속, 버스 전용 차로, 주정차, 급속 다차선 변경에 대한 인식 결과를 제공한다. 기존 설치된 CCTV 영상을 대상으로 시스템 적용이 가능하여 저비용으로 넓은 지역에 대한 교통법규 위반 상황 인식을 기대할 수 있다.

Libraries are founded to ensure the intellectual freedom of citizens, and citizens have the right to confidentiality regarding their needs, information access, and information use. Protecting users' privacy is critical to safeguarding their freedom of speech, freedom of thought, and freedom of assembly. Libraries and librarians should seriously concern themselves with their users' privacy because protecting this privacy is part of their most important mission, and, in doing so, users can truly enjoy their intellectual freedom. This study extensively investigated and analyzed the possibility of privacy invasion that may occur in libraries. As a result, cases of potential invasion of privacy in libraries were summarized in the following three categories: violations occurring in the process of national or law agencies' enforcement operations; violations occurring in the process of routine library services such as circulation, reference, online searching etc.; and violations occurring by outsourcing library services.

Airborne health management system prevents functional failure caused by errors or faults in the airborne software. On-the-fly repairing atomicity violations (AV) in an ARINC-653 concurrent software is critical for guaranteeing correctness of execution of the software. This paper proposes Repairing-AV which efficiently repairs atomicity violations. The Repairing-AV can diagnose and prevent an error on-the-fly by utilizing the training results of the software and controls access to the shared variable of the thread where the error occurred. The evaluation of the Repairing-AV measures the time overhead by applying the previous work and the Repairing-AV to five synthesis programs containing the atomicity violation. As the result of evaluation, the RepairingAV constantly shows about 1.4x time overhead regardless of count of shared variable access.

The concept of expectation rights considers 'the expectation' that the patient should be given proper medical treatment as the benefit and protection of the law, so it would be the benefit and protection of the law due to personal rights different from 'the legal principle that has the possibility to a considerable extent' being in an extension of life and body. However, the problem how the patient's expectation of medical service sets up in order to make it the benefit and protection of the law would be still left in the vague concept of the patient's 'expectation', thus, in the first place, the medical practice following formed medical standard in every particular medical institutes should be the standard because these medical services are normally within a range of the patients' expectations. In addition, it should be naturally constituted as mental profit to get the subjective circumstances such as 'the patient's expectation' to be an object, and also, different from the profit and protection of the law such as life and body that should be absolutely protected, the origin of violation behavior should be regarded simultaneously to define the denotation of expectation rights. Therefore, the expectation rights violations would be problematic in case it fails to reach the medical standard that is expected for common doctors to practice properly. This is the concept of expectation rights that gets subjective matters such as the patient's expectation to be objectivity as medical practices that can be expected by generalized abstract doctors. This standard should be defined as the minimum standard that is naturally expected for doctors to practice, different from medical standard that decides the level of doctors.

In this study, we analyzed the accessibility of open platform Android mobile banking applications, based on Korean mobile application accessibility KS standard, Section 508 technical standard of Rehabilitation Act, and European BBC guidelines. Experimental result showed that there are no mobile banking applications of 8 commercial banks in Korea that satisfy all guidelines of three standards. Typical violations included missing alternative text, keyboard focus violations, control size and spacing non-compliance, and low contrast ratio. These violations are fatal in that they make the accessibility of the blind, the disabled and the low vision and the elderly impossible. The reason that mobile banking applications do not comply with accessibility is that mobile application developers and providers have low awareness of accessibility and do not know how to implement accessibility properly. Comparing Korea mobile application accessibility guidelines with the revised standard of the Section 508 of Rehabilitation Act and the BBC standard, many guidelines are missing. Also, evaluation criteria are ambiguous and abstract, making it difficult for developers to refer specifically. Therefore, improving mobile application accessibility requires developer and government efforts and complementation of standards.
