빌라 사보아의 건축입면 주시특성 연구 - 건축 전공자와 비전공자의 차이를 중심으로 (A Study on the Analysis of Gaze Characteristic of The Villa Savoye - Based on the Difference between Architecture Major Group and Non-Architecture Major Group)

  • 본 연구는 아이트래킹 기법을 이용하여 관찰자가 빌라 사보아 입면 이미지를 바라볼 때의 주시특성에 대해 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 아이트래킹 실험장비를 이용하여 피험자를 모집하고 실험을 수행하였다. 실험대상으로는 근대건축을 대표하는 빌라 사보아 주택을 선택하였다. 근대건축 5원칙을 표명하면서 꼬르뷔제는 수평으로 긴 창과 필로티 기둥, 옥상정원 등의 요소를 제안하였으며, 빌라 사보아는 이러한 원칙이 잘 반영된 주택이다. 한편, 실험을 진행하면서 건축 전공 유무에 따른 주시특성의 차이를 알기 위해 피험자를 건축전공자와 비전공자로 구분하였다. 분석결과, 면적 비율을 반영한 주시빈도를 기준으로 살펴보면, 현관 및 창문과 같은 개구부에 대한 관심이 높음을 알 수 있었고, 근대건축 5원칙에서 건축입면으로 표현이 되는 요소 중 가로로 긴 창에 대한 시각적 주목도가 다른 요소에 비해 상대적으로 높음을 알 수 있었다. 건축물을 바라볼 때 건축전공집단과 비전공집단 사이에 주시특성이 차이가 있는지를 살펴본 결과, 건축 전공집단은 비전공집단에 비해 빌라 사보아를 주시할 때 층별로 골고루 관심을 보이고 있어 건축물의 입면을 바라볼 때 건축 전공집단은 탐색적 주시를 함을 유추할 수 있었다.

  • This study is an attempt to prove a relationship between Le Corbusier's utopian attitude towards nature and architectural ideology and ideology by a form of inquiry into sociological interests. That is to find out contradictions and limitations in Le Corbusier's architectural world, namely particularity of his ideology by exploring the base entangled with special interests in the society up until formation of his architectural language. A process of this study is by; 1. Examining of background which affected Le Corbusier's attitude towards nature until the nature became his architectural language; 2. An analysis of Le Corbusier's architectural works. That is, this study's main interest is on formation of Le Corbusier's architectural language by his attitude towards nature which present in residential field especially focused on Villa Meyer and Villa Savoye, two best examples of his villa. 3. This study have a goal to investigate that utopian and ideological conception in architecture of Le Corbusier have a dialectic relationship between them. This goal can be achieved by observing in what ways Le Corbusier's utopian attitude towards nature is expressed in residential architectural language and researching into his inconsistent architectural ideology derived from applying architectural language present in villa to pre-fabricated apartment houses.

팔라디오의 빌라에서 나타난 계단의 특성 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Stairs in Palladio's Villa)

  • This study was carried out to understand the characteristics of stairs in Palladio's villa. The subject of study are selected the twenty two villas with drawing in his book ‘The four books of Architecture’. Their cases are represented the characteristics of stair in architectural composition. Accordingly, it was analyzed and classified the architectural characteristics into space, form and plan at a villa. In conclusion, in aspect of spacial plan, staircases of Palladio's villa was presented more open and light in comparison with darked space of the medieval age. And it was intended to the connection or division between spaces of different character In an aspect of formal plan, dynamic form of stairs was divided into the two types. First, it was represented the effect of articulation in form. Second, stairs were represented the diagonal with the shape of itself. In an aspect of plan, his idea is coexisted with traditional thought and rational idea through the arrangement of symmetry md asymmetry. But at any rate, his concern was sought for the reasonable position. Also, he had represented the various characteristics in stairs such as his works in Renaissance period.

Trade Scale, Property Types, and Location Environment of Vacation Houses: Examples from Central Japan

  • This study is a basic investigation of the contents and services relevant to the domestic vacation house business. In which, the trade scale, types of housing, and environmental conditions of various property locations were analyzed. The characteristics of properties listed on the Japanese website that conducts the greatest volume of vacation house trade in Japan were examined, and the following results were obtained: Villa areas, villas, and resort condos (resort mansions) are the three basic types of properties handled in the vacation house trade. In this market, sales per unit in villa areas and per spaces in resort condos accounted for the highest volume of trade, followed by that of villas (individual houses). In terms of land area, floor area, and sales price per house type, the relatively cheaper small and medium-sized vacation houses are more frequently traded, than expensive large-scale villas. In particular, small multi-family type villas (such as in resort condos) are the most popular. Land and floor area, and sales prices all show considerable variation depending on the type of property considered. Therefore, a business initiative to provide a more detailed classification of properties is required. In terms of the environment of vacation properties, most are located on coasts, plateaus, or inland mountains, and are generally within three-hours' traveling distance of large cities.

Le Corbusier 사브와 주택에서의 시각의 자리 - 수평창과 원경의 내면화 - (The Site of Vision in the Villa Savoye of Le Corbusier -'Fenetre en longueur' and the Internalization of a Distant View -)

  • This study on the site of vision in the Villa Savoye of Le Corbusier, concentrates on the precise analysis of the meaning of 'fenetre on longueur' in the living room. A lots of architectural theorists have regarded the Villa Savoye of Le Corbusier as a symbol of modern architecture, and his 'fenetre on longueur' as products of modern technology. But Le Corbusier who defined himself as 'homme visuel', responded keenly to the vision conditions inherent to the human finitude, Indifferent to the modern technology, Such a response would be derived from the experience of Acropolis, where 'the scheme was designed to be seen from a distance.' Generally speaking, 'fenetre en longueur', contra to 'porte-fenetre', makes one to focus on the panorama effect of the horizon, including a distant view. Entering the living room of Villa Savoye, however, we may perceive this window in two ways. Firstly this window acts as a screen to obstruct not to see outside, because of the wall above pressing down the line of view. Secondly this acts as a frame to make us see a distant view as far as eye can reach. These two ways result in the abbreviation of near view, and a sudden shift between a inferiority(derived from 'screen effect') and a distant view(from 'frame effect'). Depending on such a observation, this study can evaluate 'fenetre en longueur' internalizing of a distant view as the highest compressed scene of Le Corbusier's architectural poetics.

카츠라리큐(桂離宮, 계리궁)의 형성배경 및 공간특성 (A Study on Formative Background and Spatial Characteristics of Katsura Imperial Villa)

  • 한국과 일본의 정원문화는 공통적으로 중국의 원림문화의 영향을 받아 발전해 왔다. 그럼에도 불구하고 각각 서로 다른 정원문화의 발전을 통해 정착되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 일본의 대표적 정원조성양식인 회유식정원의 원류인 일본의 황실정원인 카츠라리큐(桂離宮, 계리궁)의 정원에 대한 이론적 고찰을 통한 형성배경 및 조성주체를 파악하고 현장조사 및 관리자 인터뷰를 실시하여 공간구성요소의 특징을 살펴봄으로서. 일본의 정원문화에 있어서 중요한 사례인 카츠라리큐에 대한 기초적 지견을 얻고자 연구를 진행하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 카츠라리큐는 겐지이야기(源氏物語, 원씨물어)에 기반을 둔 왕조문학을 통해 와카(和歌, 화가)에 통달한 토시히토친왕(智仁親王, 지인친왕)과 아들인 토시타다친왕(智忠親王, 지충친왕)에 의해 2대에 걸쳐 약 30년에 달하는 기간을 들여 완성한 최초의 치센슈유(池泉舟遊, 지천주유)카이유시키(回遊式, 회유식)정원으로 정원의 공간구성은 크게 육상과 섬, 수공간으로 구분되며 총36개의 공간구성요소로 구성되어 있다. 둘째, 카츠라리큐는 쇼킨테이(松琴亭, 송금정), 쇼카테이(賞花亭, 상화정), 쇼이켄(笑意軒, 소의헌) 등의 다정(茶亭)을 두어 원지(園池)를 중심으로 주유(舟遊)를 주목적으로 조성되었으며 이는 당시의 놀이문화를 정원에 도입한 것이다. 셋째, 원지의 서쪽에 위치한 건축물인 코쇼인(古書院, 고서원)의 북쪽에 성토를 하고 돌담을 쌓아 주변보다 높은 지형을 형성하고 그 위에 차정인 겟파로(月波樓, 월파루)를 만들어 카츠라리큐만의 경관특성인 동산에 떠오르는 달을 조금이라도 오랫동안 즐기려하였다.

암스테르담 거래소에서 보이는 근대성에 관한 연구 - 베를라헤의 빌라 프로젝트가 암스테르담의 거래소의 디자인에 미친 영향에 관하여 - (H. P. Berlage's Modern in The Amsterdam Exchange - The Amsterdam Exchange and H. P. Berlage's Villa Project between 1892 and 1896 -)

  • As a proto-modernist work the Amsterdam Exchange has been regarded as a specimen of Structural Rationalist's architecture. Because of its ma]or steel structure, use of geometry, and reminiscence of Gothic the designer of the building was labeled by Kenneth Frampton as one of the apostles of Viollet le Duc. The architect was Hendrick Petrus Berlage. Contrary to above Nicolaus Pevsner claimed that Berlage's architectural discourse was 'Anti-Rational' because of its anachronistic formal language, Expressionism. In terms of structure Berlage's idea is rational, whilst formally 'Anti-Rational'. These polarised view points were due to the legacies of Modern Architecture that was controled by hegemonic figures in terms not only of practical field but of historiography. The hegemonic figures wanted to see Berlage as what they wanted to see. With this idea, this paper is one of endeavours to collect fragmented history in the early modern architecture. The Amsterdam Exchange has a long term story until the opening. Without understanding the story we have to withhold an evaluation of Berlage's architecture.

르꼬르뷔제의 공간구성요소로서 가구사용 연구 - 빌라 사보아를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Spacial Usage of Le Corbuisier with the Built-in Furniture - Focused on Villa Savoye -)

  • This study is purposed to understand the spacial usage of the furniture in detail for interior architecture. Many documents have prescribed the spacial furniture at random. While modernist have been interested in the spacial usage of the furniture, the importance of the spacial furniture stands out in architectural space. Since long ago, a great deal of effort has been put into creating a relational harmony between the space and furniture. The villa, the weekend home of the Savoye family, was built between 1928 and 1931. Particularly, the villa Savoye was focused for this study. Le Corbusier viewed desks and case pieces for storage as architecture, and the unite furniture and architecture by developing cabinets in standard modules that could be painted either the wall color to become part of the wall or in contrasting colors to stand out as furniture. Spacial furniture was used architecturally in the interior as well, it gives the space an unexpected playfulness with the color of the finishing materials. The various usage of the Spacial furniture constitute an element of great architectural richness. They have a unique principle based on emotional order and make the man move to another space and experience the spacial connection. In particular, the furniture that was considered by Corbuisier have rational function, division of the space, leaning the structure, and so on. The furniture as the element of the space composition can change the architectural space and view as well as connecting each other. Spacial furniture appear as physical ones called wall, floor, column, and existential value as a living space.
