The purpose of the study was to establish a new view of textbook which may contribute to the abolishment of the instruction mainly based on the only textbook and to the promotion of creativities of students. We first reviewed science textbooks and related teaching-learning materials of foreign countries with emphasis on the relationship among textbook and teaching-learning materials and practical use of them. In western countries the roles of traditional textbook has been changed. That is, various kinds of materials such as reading book, work-book, worksheet, experimental guidebook, filmstrips are used to raise effect of instruction besides of traditional type of textbook. Secondary, we identified the problems related to the science textbook-view of textbook, textbook contents, practical use of textbook-through opinion survey administered to principals akd teachers of elementary schools. The results of the survey are as follows; Concerning the view of textbook, most teachers did not recognize textbook as an absolute materials. They thought that textbook contents could be taught reorganized according to their judgements. On the contrary, teachers responded to the question of whether or not they follow contents of textbook as they are presented in it were approximately 30%. Further, more than 75% of them have seldom used instructional materials except textbooks. In order to revise the problems of our present textbook as stated above, a new view of textbook should be established. We, above all, established 4 basic premises for searching a new view of textbook. 1) Textbook should not be considered as the only material but as being at the center of various teaching -learning materials. 2) The importance of textbook should be illustrated Among Curriculum, textbook and related teaching-learning materials, instruction and evaluation. 3. Textbook contents should not be regarded as definitely fixed or absolute ones. 4. Human being can understand environment more fully by commanding his swnsory organ multilaterally. Under these premises we disscussed about curriculum and textbook, textbook, and instruction, akd evaluation method.

Prospect Hill Virus (PHV) is the well known serotype of hantavirus, a newly established genus in family Bunyaviridae. Extensive studies have upheld the original view of PHV genetics with three genes such as nucleocapsid (N) protein, envelope proteins (G1, G2) and RNA dependent RNA polymerase. In this study, we report the existence of additional gene that is encoded in an overlapping reading frame of the N protein gene within S genome segment of PHV. This gene is expected to encode a nonstructural small (NSs) protein and it seems to be only found in PHV infected cell. The presence and synthesis of NSs protein could be demonstrated in the cell infected with PHV using anti-peptide sera specific to the predicted amino acid sequence deduced from the second open reading frame. Ribosomal synthesis of this protein appears to occur at AUG codon at the 83rd base of S genome segment, downstream of N protein initiation codon. This protein is small in size (10.4 KDa) and highly basic in nature. The expression strategy of NSs protein appears that a signal mRNA is used to translate both N and NSs protein in PHV infected cell. 10 KDa protein in virus infected cell lysates can bind to mimic dsRNA. This fact strongly suggests that NSs protein may be involved in virus replication on late phase of viral life cycle.

Introduction: Bone regeneration of cystic defects of the jaws after a cyst treatment requires lengthy healing periods. Generally, the bony changes are observed periodically through a visual radiographic reading as well as by the clinical opinion and radiographic images (panorama, periapical view), but it is difficult to compare the objective bony changes using only the radiographic density. In addition, it is difficult to observe minute bony changes through a visual radiographic reading, which can lead to a subjective judgment. This study exmined the bone density after the enucleation of a jaw cyst by fractal analysis. Materials and Methods: Eighteen patients with a cystic lesion on the jaw were assessed. Panoramic radiographs were taken preoperatively, immediately postoperatively, and 1, 3, 6 and 12 months after cyst enucleation. The images were analyzed by fractal analysis. Results: The mean fractal dimensions increased immediately after surgery and 3, 6 and 12 months postoperatively. The postoperative 6 and 12 months fractal dimension was similar to the controls. Conclusion: Fractal analysis was used to overcome the limit of a subjective reading during an assessment of bone regeneration after cyst enucleation.

This article proposes to stay away from contemporary critical arguments concerning Michael's value system, which is construed mainly from his choice between his patrimonial lands and his son Luke. Presuming that Michael's value system as have been argued so far could never be the poet Wordsworth's own concern at the time of the composition of the poem "Michael," this article proposes to get back to the all too real socio-historical situation of the early nineteenth-century England. Mere consideration of the socio-historical situation, when combined with a close reading of the poetic text (a close reading of both the poetic story and the poetic history from which the story may be said to have been constructed), directs us to the poet working on the simple paradigm of 'the country and the city at war with each other' but the victory having been given to the city already. The guarantee contract for a supposedly prospering nephew's debt and the letter from another prospering relative in London are undoubtedly the key elements that lead us to the war paradigm. Michael's family members, each and all including Michael himself, and all of their village people, have been imbued with the city's commercial values, which renders them all the more easier victims within the war context. Luke's defeat in the city is viewed as being really the consequence, rather than the cause, of Michael's defeat, which became apparent as soon as the news of the latter's financial disaster reached his ear. Michael should therefore be regarded as one of the typical English countryfolk of the time, with whom Wordsworth often, but not always, identifies himself. Insofar as the economic view or attitude is concerned, there certainly is a distance between Michael and Wordsworth, this article argues.

핵의학 영상 기기인 양전자 방출 단층 촬영 장치(Positron emission tomography: PET)와 같은 진단기기는 방사성의약품을 인체에 주입하여 질병을 진단한다. 이 때 사용되는 방사성의약품은 안전성을 위하여 적절한 수소 이온농도를 가져야 한다. 일반적으로 방사성 의약품의 수소 이온 농도를 측정하는 과정에서 흔히 사용되는 것이 pH시험지이다. 표본을 pH 시험지에 떨어뜨려 pH 시험지의 변색 정도를 표준색상표(Standard color chart)와 비교하여 표본의 pH를 알 수 있다. 그러나 이 방법은 측정자의 경험 정도에 따라 pH 측정값에 차이가 발생할 수 있다. 또한 pH 메타기는 고감도의 센서를 사용함으로 오염에 주의해야 한다. 이러한 불편함을 고려하여 쉽고 간단하게 정확한 pH를 측정하기 위한 새로운 장치 제작과 영상 기반 알고리즘을 통한 소프트웨어를 개발하였다. 이렇게 개발한 장치는 최종적으로 방사성의약품의 생산 시 품질관리(QC) 통합 제어 시스템으로 사용된다.

본 논문에서는 전자책으로써 웹기반 전자원문을 관리하는 시스템 개선방안을 제시하였다. 개선의 방향은 이용자(사용자와 관리자)의 전자원문 열람 및 관리 편의성을 극대화하는 것이다. 전자원문 관리시스템의 주요 개선된 기능은 다음과 같다. 1) 웹 브라우저를 통해 열람과 관리를 할 수 있어 특정 프로그램에 종속적이지 않다. 2) 이미지 컨텐트(표, 이미지, 아이콘 등)를 최소화하여 한 화면에 정보의 전달성과 가독성을 높일 수 있다. 3) 색인어 추출을 비롯한 장, 절 구조화 업무를 자동화하여 이를 위한 노력을 경감할 수 있다. 4) 전자원문 열람과정에서 생성되는 이용자 로그파일을 여러 관점에서 수집할 수 있다. 5) 이용자 열람시에 해당 전자원문의 암호화와 복호화를 통해 저작권 관리를 용이하게 할 수 있다. 이상과 같이 검색효율성 및 편리성을 증진시킨 인터페이스 등의 결과를 한국과학기술정보연구원의 부품소재정보망(MCT-net)에 적용하여 제안된 연구결과의 신뢰성을 확보하였다.

본 연구는 드림스타트에 참여하는 저소득 가정의 유아들을 위해 균형적 언어교육 프로그램 모형을 개발하고 적용하는 데 목적이 있다. 프로그램 개발은 균형적 언어교육의 기본 관점 및 교수학습방법의 특징을 기초로 하였으며 교수체제 개발의 일반적인 모형인 ADDIE에 근거하여 분석-설계-개발-실행-평가의 절차에 따라 진행되었다. 개발된 프로그램은 균형적 언어교육 접근법의 관점에서 총체적 그림책 읽기와 구조화된 읽기, 쓰기 프로그램을 포함하는 프로그램의 내용, 교수학습 원리, 교수학습 전략 등의 교수학습방법, 교수학습평가체제가 제시되었다. 프로그램의 적용은 2015년 6월부터 11월 초반까지 드림스타트에 참여하는 유아 20명을 대상으로 이루어졌으며 유아 읽기 발달 검사, 교사 저널, 부모 만족도 조사를 통해 적용된 프로그램을 평가하였다. 적용결과, 유아들의 읽기 발달에 있어서 향상되는 경향성을 보였으며 교사저널의 질적 분석 결과 책 선호도, 글자에 대한 관심, 개별화된 언어교수법의 효과성 등 문해 발달의 기초적 능력의 향상에서 프로그램의 우수성을 찾을 수 있었다. 본 연구는 균형적 언어교육 접근법의 관점에서 저소득 가정 유아의 문해 발달을 지원하는 구체적인 프로그램의 실행방법을 제시했다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

It is unfair that environmental pragmatism has been regarded as a mouthpiece for industrial expediency and business boosterism. John Dewey's radical pragmatism known as 'Instrumentalism' has provoked ecological fundamentalists' criticism more vehemently than any other pragmatic philosophies. However, most of the presumptive misunderstandings of such critics as Holmes Rolston, J. Baird Calliott, Erich Katz, C. A. Bowers and many others come from their limited or reduced reading of Deweyan pragmatism. The following three aspects of Deweyan pragmatism can work out in opening up a dialogical space with those eco-centrist thinkers mentioned above. First, the concept of Dewey's 'primary experience' can articulate the foundationalist view of nature, which is often found in aboriginal cultures. Second, as Andrew Light points out, ecological essentialism can share its metaphilosophical position with the pragmatist epistemology. While Anthony Weston pursues pluralism, admitting that the foundationalism might be one of the efficient approaches to nature, Eric Katz is also clearly attracted to the metaphilosophical element in Weston's argument that anyone who attempts to claim the 'inherent value' of non-human nature never possibly avoids a pitfall of anthropomorphism. Lastly, in a more comprehensive perspective, Dewey's pragmatism shows a philosophical complexity, what Larry A. Hickman calls 'post-postmodernism.' a dynamic interaction between modernism and postmodernism. Significantly enough, the environmental version of this complexity can procure a meeting ground between foundationalist ecology and the pragmatic view of nature.

Constance Fenimore Woolson is among those whom scholars have for long been trying to rediscover and add to the list of representative American writers. The primary methodology has been regionalism, based on the fact that most of her work portrays remote, exotic regions in and out of America. Still, Woolson remains obscure to general readers as well as literary critics outside a small circle of her scholarship. This essay attributes that obscurity to Woolson scholars' blind reliance on regionalism's nationalistic assumption in reading Woolson's multifaceted writing, and proposes to explore her nationally and regionally displacing view of the rigidly stereotypical and ideologically biased binary opposition between the center and the margin in postbellum America. The essay takes as an example the only story by Woolson that has never been reprinted or anthologized until very recently, "In Sloane Street," and examines why it resists the scholarly endeavor to regional categorization. The examination especially focuses on how the story exposes the Americanizing conceptualization of the region and its limits. The essay concludes with an attention to the story's ending where Woolson abruptly yet deliberately introduces a form of almanac as the main character Gertrude's mode of daily record. The attention to that uniquely hybrid genre in the American literary tradition, which encompasses the public and the private, the universal and the local, sheds light on Woolson's authorial intention to deconstruct the Manichean view of literary regionalism.

최근에, 분야별로 다양한 도서가 출판되면서 인터넷이나 오프라인 서점에서 구매 선택폭이 넓어진 상황이다. 그러나 오프라인 서점의 경우 책의 손상을 방지하기 위한 비닐포장 현상이 나타나고 있다. 그 결과 책 내용 확인이 어려워 구매결정에 영향을 주게 되는 요인이 되고 있다. 이러한 요인은 연평균 독서량 감소 현상으로 연결된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 온라인 및 오프라인 서점의 문제점으로 인한 책 판매 감소 현상을 개선하는 마커(Marker)기술 및 AR을 이용한 도서 정보 알림 서비스 "아이 뷰" 어플리케이션을 제안하고자 한다.
