This paper presents a solution of the 'Quick, Draw! Doodle Recognition Challenge' hosted by Google. Doodles are drawings comprised of concrete representational meaning or abstract lines creatively expressed by individuals. In this challenge, a doodle is presented as a sequence of sketches. From the view of at the sketch level, to learn the pattern of strokes representing a doodle, we propose a sequential model stacked with multiple convolution layers and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) cells following the attention mechanism [15]. From the view at the image level, we use multiple models pre-trained on ImageNet to recognize the doodle. Finally, an ensemble and a post-processing method using the minimum cost flow algorithm are introduced to combine multiple models in achieving better results. In this challenge, our solutions garnered 11th place among 1,316 teams. Our performance was 0.95037 MAP@3, only 0.4% lower than the winner. It demonstrates that our method is very competitive. The source code for this competition is published at: https://github.com/ngxbac/Kaggle-QuickDraw.
This study explores how agents would make decisions responding to control mechanism in contractual relationship of their firm. Focusing on agent's averse behavior against control, system dynamics model for agent's opportunistic behavior is developed in view of agent theory and control theory. This SD model shows that control mechanism by contracts doesn't always play a positive role on corporate decision-making process and Control, especially in the over-controlled contracts, often makes a paradox accelerating agent's opportunistic behavior unexpectedly. This paradox provides us both theoretical and practical implications for the relationship between control mechanism and autonomous behavior for sustainable corporate management.
Knowledge management is an essential part for gaining competitive advantage. The knowledge management system deals with information gathering, process, and implementation for the organizational performance advantage. The study integrates knowledge management in view of an internal organizational information processing structure and external strategic issue management system. This means that the coordination between internal systematic process and external scanning mechanism is essential for organizational success.
Atherosclerosis is associated with the presence of extracellular lipid droplets and large fatty deposits, both of which are to be covered at the surface mainly by zwitterionic phospholipids. The development of atherosclerosis is often associated with the accumulation of calcium. Furthermore, the presence of glycosaminoglycans directly underlying fatty deposits in human aorta has been demonstrated. Also, the possible involvement of the interaction between sulfated polysaccharide and lipoprotein in the development of atherosclerosis has been suggested in view of the presence of both low density lipoproteins and glycosaminoglycans, as well as their complexes, in atherosclerotic aortas. Therefore interactions of sulfated polysaccharides with low density lipoproteins which serve as a vehicle for cholesterol and cholesterol ester and with zwitterionic phospholipids have been studied extensively by a number of workers to provide mechanisms. In this paper, the mechanism of the interaction of sulfated polysaccharides with low density lipoproteins and the mechanism of the interaction between sulfated polysaccharides and zwitterionic phospholipids are reviewed. The possibility of the occurence of these interactions in the body are also considered.
In this paper, optics polishing technology using adaptive tool and eccentric motion mechanism was suggested. Optics polishing can make high reflective and accurate surface. The optics polishing process based on the eccentric motion mechanism has been used to manufacture the ophthalmic lens mold. Also ophthalmic lens mold factory hold conventionally a lot of the curved polishing tools for the versatile mold curves of eye diopters and want to reduce tool numbers. Therefore, a polishing machine with adaptive airbag tool was developed and experimentally verified in view of surface roughness and form accuracy.
In this paper, we propose the interworking and emulation methods for the interoperability of ABR/ABT capability and algo propose the BCR Re-negotition with State-Dependent (BRSD) mechanism based on the common buffer with two thresholds and the EBCN method when public network hs the ABT capability. As BRSD mechansism has one common buffer for all ABR connectiona and BCR re-negotiation request according to the threshold, it can reduce the queue length and the frequency of ABT BCR re-negotiation. Using EBCN method, BRSD mechanism can prevent the continuous increasing of queue length in the emulation method with the CI bit setting of the ABR performance of the BRSD mechanism in the view poits of the masimum queue length, bandwidth utilization and ABT-BCR re-negotialtion frequency trough the simulation.
Nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) is both a quality control mechanism and a gene regulation pathway. It has been studied for more than 30 years, with an accumulation of many mechanistic details that have often led to debate and hence to different models of NMD activation, particularly in higher eukaryotes. Two models seem to be opposed, since the first requires intervention of the exon junction complex (EJC) to recruit NMD factors downstream of the premature termination codon (PTC), whereas the second involves an EJC-independent mechanism in which NMD factors concentrate in the 3'UTR to initiate NMD in the presence of a PTC. In this review we describe both models, giving recent molecular details and providing experimental arguments supporting one or the other model. In the end it is certainly possible to imagine that these two mechanisms co-exist, rather than viewing them as mutually exclusive.
A pepper harvester using a pair of counter rotating helically wound cylinders as a pepper removal mechanism has been developed. Pepper harvesting by machines under the customary cultivation practice was expected to lower land productivity, that most farmers were concerned about. As one way to compensate for loss in land productivity by machine harvest, experts on pepper cultivation suggested change of both varieties and plant density per area. From the view of machine design, their suggestion implied that distance between rows should be narrower and height of the pepper removal mechanism could be shorter. Experiments to improve perfect pepper recovery ratio and to reduce size of the pepper removal mechanism was accomplished. In order to be a economically feasible harvester, minimum pepper recovery ratio was required to be greater or equal to 80%. The research goal was achieved by both reducing the diameter of the wire-helices from 30 cm to 18 cm and increasing rotational speed of the wire-helices up to 425 rpm. The best perfect pepper recovery ratio was 82.3%. Validity of experiment design and interpretation on statistical analysis were discussed. To understand the pepper removal mechanism properly, a pepper removal theory based physics was judged to be necessary.

Inter-organizational Relationships (IORs) governance is one of the emerging research areas that have been studied in different contexts (e.g. economics, strategy, organization, and management). This view, particularly, attracted rising attention from academics and practitioners in the context of construction projects, due to the complex forms of IORs in terms of inter-firm exchanges (e.g. engineering, procurement, finance, construction, and operation) in these projects. The focus of IORs governance is to control Inter-organizational relationships among two or more cooperative parties to alleviate conflict and achieve mutual gains. One of the mechanisms that have been identified in the related literature is formal governance mechanism. Although many empirical studies have been conducted using formal governance terms and indicators, there isn't yet a consensual definition of this mechanism and its components that may cause misinterpretation of research results and also impede future research. This paper makes contribution to the concept of IORs governance by clarifying the meaning of formal governance mechanism and identifying different indicators of this mechanism that have been used and identified in previous studies. This provides an innovative and useful framework to understand formal governance mechanism and its application in construction projects.
