  • An inflow of daylight to the room offers comfortable view environment, psychological and physical security to people in the room and there are merits such as a work efficiency and energy saving. But, it has many problems as an excessive direct sunlight, cooling and heating. We can expect to have energy saving effect for illumination with comfortable view environment creation through control on height of roller shade. This study will be a used a fundamental approach to control on height of roller shade to changing daylight.

The objectives of this paper are: The first, to make a control program in server and a wireless client (PDA) using WLAN. The second, to implement smart home model. The third, to propose useful functions in home controls.

  • An analytic solution approach to the time-varying obstacle avoidance problem is pursued. We formulate the problem in robot joint space(JS), and introduce the view-time concept to deal with the time-varying obstacles. The view-time is a set of continuous times in which a time-varying obstacle is viewed and approximated by an equivalent stationary obstacle. The equivalent stationary obstacle is transformed into the JS obstacle. In JS, the path and trajectory avoiding the JS obstacle is planned.

Development of a Three Dimensional Last Data Generation System using FFD (FFD를 이용한 3차원 라스트 데이터 생성 시스템)

  • This paper presents a 3D last design system that provides the 3-dimensional last data based on the FFD(Free Form Deformation) method. The proposed system utilizes the control points for deformation factor to convert from the 3D point cloud foot data to the 3D point cloud last data. The deformation factor of the FFD is obtained from the conventional last design technique, and constructed on the FFD lattice based on the bottom view and lateral view of the measured 3D point cloud foot data. In addition, the control points of FFD lattice is decided on the anatomical points of foot. The deformed 3D last obtained from the proposed FFD is saved as a 3D dxf foot data. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system have the descent 3D last data based on the openGL window.

Origin of Stability Analysis in View of On Governors by Maxwell (Maxwell의 On Governors를 통해 본 안정성 해석의 기원)

  • James C. Maxwell published a paper titled "On Governors" in the Proceedings of the Royal Society of London in 1868. However, this paper was ignored for about 80 years due to unreadability of the paper itself. In 1948, Norbert Wiener revived this paper and identified it as the first significant control theory paper, which gave Maxwell his due as the first contributor to this theory. The purpose of this article is to provide historical information on the origin of stability analysis through Maxwell's paper, and to revisit the key idea of the paper in view of the present stability theory with clear explanations. This article includes a proof and some illustrative figures of governors that were not shown in the original publication.

Multiview Video Sequence CODEC with View Scalability (View Scalability를 고려한 다시점 동영상 코덱)

  • A multiview sequence CODEC with view scaiability is proposed in this paper. We define a GGOP (Group of GOP) structure as a basic coding unit to efficiently code multiview sequences. 7he proposed CODEC provides flexible GGOP structures based on the number of views and baseline distances among cameras. Multiview sequences encode consists of disparity estimation/compensation, motion estimation/compensation, residual coding and rate control and generates multiview sequence bitstream. The main bitstream is the same as an MPEG-2 mono-sequence bitstream for MPEG-2 compatibility. The auxiliary bitstream contains information concerning the remaining multiview sequences except for the reference sequences. The proposed CODEC with view scalability provides that a number of view flints are selectively determined at the receiver according to the type of display modes. The proposed multiview sequence CODEC is tested with several multiview sequences to determine its flexibility. compatibility with MPEG-2 and view scaiability. In addition, we subjectively confirm that the decoded bitstreams with view scaiability can be Properly displayed by several types of display modes. including 3D monitors.

  • In this paper, we design and implement a multiple-view VoiceXML editor to improve editing efficiency of the VoiceXML. The VoiceXML multiple-view Editor uses a MVC framework to support multiple views and paradigm. Our multiple-view editor consists of Model. View and Controller using MVC framework. A model, core data structure. is constructed of abstract syntax tree and abstract grammar. A view. user interface. is formalized in unparsing rules and unparser. A controller. to control model and view. is made of command interpreter and tree handler. The VoiceXML multiple-view editor overcomes a drawbacks of existing XML editors by showing document structure and context concurrently. as well as document flows. Our VoiceXML multiple-view editor. which MVC framework has been applied, provides various editing views concurrently to users. Thereby. it supports efficient and convenient editing environments for voice-web documents to users and it guarantees transparency of editors. as various views have a same consistent model.

Utility of False Profile View for Screening of Ischiofemoral Impingement

  • Purpose: Ischiofemoral impingement (IFI)-primarily diagnosed by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-is an easily overlooked disease due to its low incidence. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of false profile view as a screening test for IFI. Materials and Methods: Fifty-eight patients diagnosed with IFI between June 2013 and July 2017 were enrolled in this retrospective study. A control group (n=58) with matching propensity scores (age, gender, and body mass index) were also included. Ischiofemoral space (IFS) was measured as the shortest distance between the lateral cortex of the ischium and the medial cortex of lesser trochanter in weight bearing hip anteroposterior (AP) view and false profile view. MRI was used to measure IFS and quadratus femoris space (QFS). The receiver operating characteristics (ROC), area under the ROC curve (AUC) and cutoff point of the IFS were measured by false profile images, and the correlation between the IFS and QFS was analyzed using the MRI scans. Results: In the false profile view and hip AP view, patients with IFI had significantly decreased IFS (P<0.01). In the false profile view, ROC AUC (0.967) was higher than in the hip AP view (0.841). Cutoff value for differential diagnosis of IFI in the false profile view was 10.3 mm (sensitivity, 88.2%; specificity, 88.4%). IFS correlated with IFS (r=0.744) QFS (0.740) in MRI and IFS (0.621) in hip AP view (P<0.01). Conclusion: IFS on false profile view can be used as a screening tool for potential IFI.

분산 환경하에서의 데이타관리 분류체계에 대한 연구

  • 진정한 의미의 다운사이징을 구현하기 위해서는 필요한 분산데이타베이스의 구현은 현재 여러가지 기술적인 문제점들을 안고 있다. 따라서 동시성 제어(concurrency control)와 갱신 (update propagation), 복구(recovery), 질의어 처리(query processing), 카달로그 관리(catalog management)등과 같은 분산 환경에서의 데이타베이스에 관련된 기술적인 문제점들을 해결하기 위해서는 어떠한 최적의 방법들을 개발해야만 한다. 이러한 방법들의 개발은 관계형 데이타베이스의 데이타관리 분류체계를 통한 대안들의 선택과 운용에 의해 가능할 것이다. 분산 환경하에서 사용되어질 수 있는 관계형 데이타베이스의 데이타관리 분류체계를 availability, expression, currency의 관점에서 Basic table과 view로 구분하여 정립해 보았다. Basic table은 current update가 필수적이므로 availability와 expression의 관점에서 분류하였고, view는 physical file의 존재성 유무와 시간적 실행의 차이를 기준으로 분류하였다. 그리고 이러한 분류기준에 따른 특성들을 분산데이타베이스 구축에 이용하는 방법들에 대해 이야기 하였다. 다시 말해 non-current materialized view 뿐만 아니라 current materialized view를 동시에 지원하는 하나의 distributed view update architecture를 개발하는 것에 대해 하나의 방법으로 제시하였다. 즉 immediate update와 deferred update는 current view를 이용하고 periodical update는 non-current view를 이용하여 100%의 distributed data resources를 관리 할 수 있는 효율적인 distributed system를 개발하는 것을 제시하였다. 본 논문은 데이타베이스론의 입장에서 아직 정립되어 있지 않은 분산 환경하에서의 관계형 데이타베이스의 데이타관리의 분류체계를 나름대로 정립하였다는데 그 의의가 있다. 또한 이것의 응용은 현재 분산데이타베이스 구축에 있어 나타나는 기술적인 문제점들을 어느정도 보완할 수 있다는 점에서 그 중요성이 있다.

An Effective Teaching Plan based on the LabVIEW by utilizing the USB type DAQ device (LabVIEW 기반의 USB방식 DAQ장비를 활용한 효과적인 수업 방안)

  • In this paper, we looked around an effective teaching plan base on the LabVIEW by utilizing the USB type DAQ device. Moreover, we have been learning the concept of control and instrumentation engineering through theory and practice classwork in the various field of engineering, come to automation engineering as well as electricity, electronic, telecommunication and computer science. In case of the best learning to understand the concept and operate the practice, we'd like to propose the application technique to make use of the PC based on LabVIEW software with USB type DAQ devices, better than to depend upon the expensive equipment as before. As a result, we hope that this technique to be considered easily accessible to understand anyone and expect distinguished applications.
