Video files of video devices such as black box and CCTV may be damaged due to repetitive file read / write and physical environment factors. Even though there are available parts of video information, it may happen that playback can't be performed due to damage of some information. To playback the remaining video information normally, it is necessary to recover damaged areas of the files. For this, it is necessary to accurately check the damage range of the files. In this paper, we propose the design and implementation of a tool which detects damaged areas of a video file and recovers the usable area of the file to playback. The proposed tool can analyze and recover without additional information by analyzing common information of video container format and can check detailed damaged ranges with chunks. It is possible to perform recovery just only with the target file and reference file without any other information such as codec specification.

The various video recording device, like car black box and cctv, are used currently and video contents are used as evidence of traffic accidents and scenes of crime. To verify integrity of video content, there are various study on manipulated video content analysis. Among these studies, a study based on analysis of video file structure and its variables needs a tool which can be used to analyze file structure and extract interested attributes. In this paper, we proposed design and implementation of an analyzing tool which visualizes video file structure and its attributes. The proposed tool use a model which reflects commonality of various video container format, so it is available to analyze video structure with regardless of the video file types. And the tool specifies interested file structure properties in XML and therefore we can change target properties easily without modification of the tool.

2022년 국가기록원은 공공표준 「전자기록물 보존포맷 선정기준(v1.0)」을 제정하여 전자기록물 유형별로 적합한 보존포맷을 선정할 수 있도록 기준을 마련하였다. 기술 발전에 따라 파일포맷의 종류와 그에 따른 전자기록물의 유형이 다양하게 생산되고 있으나 문서 유형의 보존포맷 PDF/A-1b 외 다른 유형의 전자기록물에 적용 가능한 보존포맷은 제시되지 않고 있다. 본 논문은 보존포맷 선정기준의 범위를 확장할 수 있도록 시청각기록물, 특히 비디오 유형 전자기록물의 고유기준을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 고유기준을 마련하기 위해 비디오 유형 전자기록물에 관한 필수보존속성을 제안하며, 이를 기반으로 비디오 유형 고유기준을 도출하고자 한다. 이에, 비디오 파일의 특성에 따라 비디오(컨테이너)형, 비디오(코덱)형으로 구분하여 각각 3개, 6개 고유기준 평가항목을 도출하였고 평가항목별 평가문항을 설계하여 비디오 유형 전자기록물의 보존포맷 적합성 평가를 위한 선정기준을 제시하였다.
