능동형 위상보정을 이용한 정밀 속도리플 제어기의 개발 (The Development of Velocity Ripple Controller Using Active Phase Compensation)

  • Velocity ripple in manufacturing processes reduces productivity and limits the precision of the product. In practice, the frequency and phase of velocity ripples always change minutely, which makes it impossible to compensate for the ripple by simply inserting an opposite feed-forward signal in the system. In this study, an active-phase compensation algorithm was developed to enable the velocity-ripple controller to track the phase change of the ripples in real time. The proposed controller can compensate for the velocity ripple whatever its cause, including disturbance by the torque ripple. The algorithm consists of three functional modules: the velocity-ripple extractor, the synchronized integrator, and the phase shifter. Experimental results showed that the proposed controller clearly reduces velocity ripples with phase variation.

  • This paper proposes a stable locomotion control rule for non-holonomic mobile robot. Stability of the rule is proved through the use of a Liapunov function. We have two controller for locomotion control. One is velocity controller, the other is position controller. The proposed controller is position controller whose input to robot are a reference posture and reference velocities. The major objective of this paper is to propose a control rule to find a reasonable velocity command under a assumption which is velocity controller is ideal controller.

  • The Motion controllers provide the sophisticated performance and enhanced capabilities we can see in the movements of robotic systems. Several types of motion controllers are available, some based on the kind of overall control system in use. PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)-based motion controllers still predominate. The many peoples use MCU (Micro Controller Unit)-based board level motion controllers and will continue to in the near-term future. These motion controllers control a variety motor system like robotic systems. Generally, They consist of large and complex circuits. PLC-based motion controller consists of high performance PLC, development tool, and application specific software. It can be cause to generate several problems that are large size and space, much cabling, and additional high coasts. MCU-based motion controller consists of memories like ROM and RAM, I/O interface ports, and decoder in order to operate MCU. Additionally, it needs DPRAM to communicate with host PC, counter to get position information of motor by using encoder signal, additional circuits to control servo, and application specific software to generate a various velocity profiles. It can be causes to generate several problems that are overall system complexity, large size and space, much cabling, large power consumption and additional high costs. Also, it needs much times to calculate velocity profile because of generating by software method and don't generate various velocity profiles like arbitrary velocity profile. Therefore, It is hard to generate expected various velocity profiles. And further, to embed real-time OS (Operating System) is considered for more reliable motion control. In this paper, the structure of chip-based precision motion controller is proposed to solve above-mentioned problems of control systems. This proposed motion controller is designed with a FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) by using the VHDL (Very high speed integrated circuit Hardware Description Language) and Handel-C that is program language for deign hardware. This motion controller consists of Velocity Profile Generator (VPG) part to generate expected various velocity profiles, PCI Interface part to communicate with host PC, Feedback Counter part to get position information by using encoder signal, Clock Generator to generate expected various clock signal, Controller part to control position of motor with generated velocity profile and position information, and Data Converter part to convert and transmit compatible data to D/A converter.

유전자 알고리듬을 이용한 강인 미동 탐색 제어기의 설계 (Design of a Robust Fine Seek Controller Using a Genetic Algorithm)

  • This paper deals with a robust fine seek controller design problem with multiple constraints using a genetic algorithm. A robust $H\infty$ constraint is introduced to attenuate effectively velocity disturbance caused by the eccentric rotation of the disk. A weighting function is optimally selected based on the estimation of velocity disturbance and the estimated minimum velocity loop gain. A robust velocity loop constraint is considered to minimize the variances of the velocity loop gain and bandwidth against the uncertainties of fine actuator. Finally, a robust fine seek controller is obtained by solving a genetic algorithm with an LMI condition and an appropriate objective function. The proposed controller design method is applied to the fine seek control system of a DVD recording device and is evaluated through the experimental results.

  • According to recent trend, hard disk drive(HDD) has been smaller and less weight. Therefore, it needs new method of writing position information. In this thesis, a new controller that is suitable for SSW is proposed. The controller accepted SSW technology that is used to write position information in current HDD industry. The important condition to perform SSW is to reach constant velocity decided from the head velocity profile as fast as possible. The constant velocity decides the positional accuracy of spiral pattern and setup time decides the capacity of HDD. The head velocity profile as a reference signal must be designed not to cause resonance mode. The proposed controller was designed with consideration of these 3 elements, and it properly works for SSW. The velocity profile designed with SMART control not only minimizes the jerk, but also does not cause the resonance mode of a plant. After designing a conventional PID controller, it compared with electrical spring technique and ZPET technique.

  • 이 논문은 퍼지 시스템을 기반으로 하여 이동로봇의 제적제어에 대하여 기술한다. 기존의 백스텝핑 (back-stepping) 제어기는 이동로봇의 동역학과 기구학을 모두 포함하여 제어기를 구성하였다. 그러나 기존의 back-stepping 제어기는 기구학적 제어기에서 생성되는 속도 명령에 의해서 많은 영향을 받는다. 기존의 back-stepping 제어기의 성능을 증가 시키기 위해서 본 논문에서는 비선형 제이기로 많이 사용되고 있는 퍼지 시스템을 사용하였다. 본 논문에서는 back-stepping 제어기의 새로운 속도명령을 퍼지 추론을 통하여 생성하였다. 퍼지 규칙은 기구학적 제어기의 개인을 설정하기 위해서 설정하였으며, 퍼지 추론을 통하여 새로 생성된 속도명령은 기준명령의 변화를 고려하여 생성되었다. 그리고 수치실험을 통하여 기존의 back-stepping 제어기 보다 제안된 방법이 우수함을 증명하였다.

  • The objective of this study is to develop a microcomputer-based adaptive controller for an electro hydraulic velocity control system subjected to the variation of system parameters. The step response performance of the system with the adaptive controller is investigated for the variation of the external load torque, the moment of inertia and the reference inputs, and compared with that obtained by PID controller whose gains are constant. The experimental results show that this proposed model reference adaptive controller is robust to the variation of system parameters and yield much better control performance compared with the conventionel PID controller.

Nonlinear Adaptive Velocity Controller Design for an Air-breathing Supersonic Engine

  • This paper presents an approach on the design of a nonlinear controller to track a reference velocity for an air-breathing supersonic vehicle. The nonlinear control scheme involves an adaptation of propulsive and aerodynamic characteristics in the equations of motion. In this paper, the coefficients of given thrust and drag functions are estimated and they are used to approximate the equations of motion under varying flight conditions. The form of the function of propulsive thrust is extracted from a thrust database which is given by preliminary engine input/output performance analysis. The aerodynamic drag is approximated as a function of angle of attack and fin deflection. The nonlinear controller, designed by using the approximated nonlinear control model equations, provides engine fuel supply command to follow the desired velocity varying with time. On the other hand, the stabilization of altitude, separated from the velocity control scheme, is done by a classical altitude hold autopilot design. Finally, several simulations are performed in order to demonstrate the relevance of the controller design regarding the vehicle.

시간영역 수동제어기의 미세떨림현상 제거 (Removing the Noisy Behavior of the Time Domain Passivity Controller)

  • A noisy behavior of the time domain passivity controller during the period of low velocity is analyzed. Main reasons of the noisy behavior are investigated through a simulation with a one-DOF (Degree of Freedom) haptic interface model. It is shown that the PO/PC is ineffective in dissipating the produced energy when the sign of the velocity, which is numerically calculated from the measured position, is suddenly changed, and when this velocity is zero. These cases happen during the period of low velocity due to the limited resolution of the position sensor. New methods, ignoring the produced energy from the velocity sign change, and holding the control force while the velocity is zero, are proposed for removing the noisy behavior. The feasibility of the developed methods is proved with both a simulation and a real experiment.

  • This paper investigates the filtered velocity feedback(FVF) controller for the reduction of the acoustic power radiated from a clamped beam. The instability problem due to the non-collocated sensor/actuator configuration when using PZT actuator should be sorted out. The roll-off property of the FVF controller at high frequency helps to alleviate the instability. The dynamics of clamped beams under forces and moments pair and the FVF controller are first formulated. The formulation of the sound radiated power is followed. The open loop transfer function(OLTF) synthesized with 100 modes is used to determine the stability of the control system. The control performance is finally estimated. The levels of the vibration and the sound radiated power are reduced in the wide bandbelow the tuning mode of the FVF controller.
