Effects of Rhei Rhizoma, Ephedrae Herba and Scutellariae Radix on the Metabolism of 7-Ethoxycoumarin in Isolated Rat Liver (적출관류 간에서 대황, 마황 및 황금이 7-에톡시쿠마린의 대사에 미치는 영향)

  • In order to study the effects of Rhei rhizoma, Ephedrae herba and Scutellariae radix on hepatic metabolism, we examined the pretreatment effect of those on the metabolism of 7-e thoxycoumarin (EC). Water extracts (1g/kg) of Rhei rhizoma, Ephedrae herba and Scutellariae radix were administered orally to rats for 7 days, respectively. Livers were then isolated and perfused with 100mcM EC for 2 hours. The metabolites of EC, 7-hydroxycoumarin, sulfate conjugate and glucuronide conjugate were measured in the perfusates. The amount of glucuronide conjugates was decreased in Rhei rhizoma pretreated rats (p<0.01), however, 7-hydroxycoumarin was increased in Ephedrae herba pretreated rats (p<0.01). We examined whether the change of enzyme activity is related to the change of cytochrome P4501A1 and P4502B1 mRNA level in the perfused rat liver, which are responsible for EC metabolism. CYP1A1 and CYP2B1 mRNA level was increased, which was was not statistically significant with rhei rhizoma nor ephedrae herba pretreatment. We also assessed the hepatotoxicity of Rhei rhizoma, Ephedrae herba and Scutellariae radix. The activities of ALT and AST were assayed at 24 hours after 7 days administration. Only the ratio of ALT over AST was increased in ephedrae herba pretreated rats (p<0.05). Lipid peroxidation was increased in Rhei rhizoma treatment (p<0.05), while histopathological examination performed after liver perfusion did not show any difference compared with vehicle treatment. These results suggest that Ephedrae herba pretreatment increases the o-deethy-lation of 7-ethoxycoumarin in rats, which may be mediated by CYP1A1 mRNA induction.

Accuracy Analysis of Cadastral Control Point and Parcel Boundary Point by Flight Altitude Using UAV (UAV를 활용한 비행고도별 지적기준점 및 필지경계점 정확도 분석)

  • In this study was classified the cadastral control points and parcel boundary points into 40m, 100m by flight altitude of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) which compared the coordinates extracted from the orthophoto with the parcel boundary point coordinates by GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) ground survey. As a results of this study, first, in the spatial resolution analysis that the average error of the orthoimage by flight altitude were 0.024m at 40m, and 0.034m at 100m which were higher 40m than 100m for spatial resolution of orthophotos and position accuracy. Second, in order to analyze the accuracy of image recognition by airmark of flight altitude that was divided into three cases of nothing, green, and red of RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) were X=0.039m, Y=0.019m and Z=0.055m, the highest accuracy. Third, the result of the comparison between orthophotos and field survey results that showed the total RMSE error of the cadastral control points were X=0.029m, Y=0.028m, H=0.051m, and the parcel boundary points were X=0.041m, Y=0.030m. In conclusion, based on the results of this study, it is expected that if the average error of flight altitude is limited to less than 0.05m in the legal regulations related to orthophotos for cadastral surveying, it will be an economical and efficient method for cadastral survey as well as spatial information acquisition.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study for the emission gas control of passenger car. The first example, the PCSV never open when operating condition, but it opened by causing malfunction because of trouble. As a result, the purge gas entered into surge tank, a mount of fuel was displayed with excessive supply on tester. Therefore, it certified the bad-condition of the engine when idling by decreasing of fuel injection quantity from engine ECU. The second example, the hose activating a EGR valve didn't supply the vacuum pressure because of assembling the other part. Thus, it knew the bad-condition of engine that the EGR valve would not work normally by leaking with the other port. The third example, as the rear oxygen sensor of two sensor were fault-installing by changing the sensor of other a car it could not detect of oxygen quantity. Finally, it found the phenomenon of abruptly decreasing vehicle speed when braking a car. Therefore, the system including with emission control has to drastically manage by maximizing condition to role decreasing the emission gas.

GHGs Emissions Based on Individual Vehicles Speed (개별차량 속도기반 온실가스 배출량 산정 연구)

  • Purpose: Greenhouse gases are one of the major causes of global warming, a global disaster. This study aims to calculate road sector greenhouse gas emissions more precisely than conventional methods. Method: Currently, the average speed of a vehicle is used to calculate greenhouse gas emissions. In this study, GHG emissions are calculated using the speed of individual vehicles and compared with current methods. Result: It was confirmed that the existing emission estimation method underestimated about 15% in the case of carbon dioxide, about 1% in the case of nitrous oxide, and about 1% in the case of methane. Conclusion: Current methods of estimating greenhouse gas emissions were developed before 2000 and were developed to meet the limits of available data. However, with the advancement of technology, the quality of available data is now high, and new emissions estimation methods are needed. Therefore, in this study, we propose a method for estimating the velocity-based greenhouse gas emissions of individual vehicles as a more accurate method for calculating greenhouse gas emissions.

Finite Element Analysis on the Strength Safety of a Fuel Tank for Highly Compressed Gas Vehicle (수술실 내의 아산화질소($N_2O$) 노출평가)

  • Nitrous oxide, which is used as an anesthetic gas, has been shown to be a chronic health hazard. It is necessary to monitor and control the nitrous oxide exposure of the operating theaters staff. In this study, N2O exposure level of the operating nurses is assessed with a GC-ECD. The nitrous oxide gas is collected on a molecular sieve 5A contained in a glass tube and desorbed for 12 hours at $100^{\circ}C$ in heating block. As a result of the test using GC-ECD, calibration curve's $R^2$ of $N_2O$ is 0.9992, LOD is $0.96{\mu}g$/injection, LOQ is $3.21{\mu}g$/injection, desorption efficiency is 94.78 4.50% in average and break through is within 10% compared with the concentration. The average concentration before operation is 5.12ppm and it is 42.3ppm during operation. There are a significant difference showing that the P value is lower than 0.05. Assessing exposure level to nitrous oxide based on nurses' working positions, the exposure levels do not show significant difference( P>0.005). And $N_2O$ in active sampling method is higher than passive sampling method(P<0.05).

Change Detection of Damaged Area and Burn Severity due to Heat Damage from Gangwon Large Fire Area in 2019 (2019년 강원도 대형산불지역의 열해 피해로 인한 피해강도 변화 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to detect the burned area change by direct burning of tree canopies and post-fire mortality of trees via analyzing satellite imageries from the Korea multi-purpose satellite-2 and -3 (KOMPSAT-2 and -3) for two large-fires over the Goseong-Sokcho and Gangneung-Donghae regions in April 2019. For each case, the burned area was compared between two dates: the day when the fire occurred and 15-18 days after it. As the results, within these two dates, there was no substantial difference in burned area of sites whose severities were marked as "Extreme", but sites with "High" and "Low" severities showed significant differences in burned area between the two dates. These differences were resulted from the lagged post-fire browning of canopies which was detected by images from in-situ observation,satellite, and the unmanned aerial vehicle. The post-fire browning started after 3-4 days and became apparent after 10-15 days. This study offers information about the timing to quantify the burned area by large fire and about the mechanism of post-fire mortality. Also, the findings can support policy makers in planning the restoration of the damaged areas.

Influence of Welding Parameters on Macrostructure and Mechanical Properties of Friction-Stir-Spot-Welded 5454-O Aluminum Alloy Sheets (마찰교반점접합한 5454-O 알루미늄합금 판재의 접합부 거시조직 및 기계적 특성에 미치는 접합인자의 영향)

  • Friction stir spot welding between 5454 aluminum alloy sheets with the different thicknesses of 1.4 and 1.0 mm was performed. In the welding process, the tool for welding was rotated ranging from 500 to 2500, and plunged to the depth of 1.8 mm under a constant tool plunge speed of 100 mm/min. And then, the rotating tool was maintained at the plunge depth during the dwell time ranging from 0 to 7 sec. The pull-out speed of the rotating tool was 100 mm/min. The increase of tool rotation speed resulted in the change of the macrostructure of friction-stir-spot-welded zone, especially the geometry of welding interface. The results of the tensile shear test showed that the total displacement and toughness of the welds were increased with the increase of the tool rotation speed, although the maximum tensile shear load was decreased. However, the change in the dwell time at the plunge depth of the tool did not produce the remarkable variation in the macrostructure and mechanical properties of the welds. In all cases, the average hardness in friction-stir-spot-welded zone was higher than that of the base metal zone. By the friction stir spot welding technique, the welds with the excellent mechanical properties than the mechanically-clinched joints could be obtained.

Study on effect of fuel property change on vehicle important parts and exhaust gas (연료 물성 변화가 자동차 주요부품 및 배출가스에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • Exhaust regulations of automobile are being reinforced increasingly as environmental problems issues came to the fore by industrial development. However, it is known that the exhaust emission is not only influenced by the system of automobile but also the fuel properties. In particular, high-performance engines have required high-performance fuels with high lubricity as CRDI engines(diesel engine) have been developed and commercialized. This paper have examined that the fuel property variations affect a major parts and an exhaust gas of automobile. It was confirmed that the high pressure pump, the injector and the DPF(diesel particulate filter) were damaged and fuel efficiency was get worse due to use the fuel of lacking lubricity property($651{\mu}m$/quality standard: less in $400{\mu}m$). In addition, through an iron component was detected in the broken DPF, it was estimated that the breakage of the DPF was caused by the excessive exhaust of the particulate matter due to the iron component of the fuel.

  • This paper describes a development of system that enables the user to simulate the rockfall and landslide from slopes using physical engine. Until now, it will not be able to accomplish the virtual experiment of three-dimensional interpretation about slope informations, stability evaluation, the rockfall and landslide simulation, etc., because of absence of three-dimensional simulation systems which relates with slopes. With like that reason, this paper developed a simulator which is identical or similar the rockfall and the landslide where the possibility which will occur or occurred from actuality is high very actual condition from virtual experiment. For a simulator development, this paper uses the physical engine which is mainly used from computer game and animation development etc., And it will be show the process where the rockfall and landslide occurs with simulator. This simulator which sees the process where the rockfall and the landslide occur from three-dimension computer graphics theory and the physical engine, is a system which is the possibility of showing actual feeling. Therefore, the result of this paper is applied in vehicle travelling guidance system and intelligence traffic systematic etc., because of creates visual service and three-dimensional application of the slope information database which is developed in existing, and will be able to forecast the upgrade of user benefit planning and a service.

Development of a Fuel-Efficient Driving Method based on Slope and Length of Uphill Freeway Section (고속도로 오르막 구간의 경사도와 길이에 따른 연료 효율적 주행방법 개발)

  • In 2011, greenhouse gas emissions of transport sector were 85.04 million $tonCO_2eq$ and road emissions accounted for 95% of total emissions in the transport sector. There are few innovative technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions aside from eco-driving education and public relation program. Therefore, this paper focused on analyzing optimal acceleration by certain road grades and suggested fuel-efficient driving method for various uphill sections. Scenarios were established by driving modes. Speed profiles were generated by scenarios and speed variations. Each speed profile applied to Comprehensive Modal Emission Model and then each fuel consumption was estimated. Driving mode and speed variation that minimized fuel consumption were driven according to grade percent and uphill distance. When driving in the eco-friendly mode of the driving and speed variation, reduction rate of fuel consumption was evaluated by comparison between eco-driving and cruise control mode. When a vehicle drove under eco-driving mode at 100kph, 90kph and 80kph on uphill road, fuel consumptions were reduced by 33.9%, 30.8% and 5.3%, respectively.
