Shell Eco-marathon을 위한 자작 자동차 경량화 연구 (The Study on Weight Reduction of Vehicle for Shell Eco-marathon)

  • This paper sought to find a way to improve the fuel consumption rate of a vehicle for the Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2014, with a special focus on the correlation between vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics and chassis weight reduction. In 'KUTY-Eco 1' designed for SEM Asia 2014, a chassis made with an aluminum alloy tube, semi-monocoque structure and a pivot steering system were adopted to reduce weight and to secure better performance. The goals were achieved using computer-aided engineering(CAE) and parameter study. Finally, 'KUTY-Eco 1' was created, the lightest car in the competition's prototype petrol(gasoline) type category. 'KUTY-Eco 1' secured the official record of 142.7 km/liter during the competition.

Amisulpride의 지속 투여가 생쥐의 성별에 따른 체중 및 대사에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Amisulpride Administration on Body Weight and Metabolic Abnormalities in Mice)

  • 목 적 이 연구는 수컷과 암컷 생쥐에서 amisulpride를 투여하였을 때 먹이 섭취량, 체중 및 대사 지표에 대한 영향을 risperidone 및 정상 대조군과 비교하여 알아보고자 하였다. 방 법 수컷과 암컷 C57BL/6형 생쥐를 저용량 amisulpride 투여군(1.5mg/kg), 고용량 amisulpride투여군(15mg/kg), risperidone 투여군(0.1mg/kg)과 Vehicle군으로 나누었다. 약물은 21일간 매일 하루에 한 번 복강 주사를 통해 투여되었다. 체중은 일주일에 한 번씩 측정하였으며 먹이 섭취량은 매일 측정하였다. Triglyceride(TG), glucose, insulin 그리고 prolactin은 실험 종료 시에 측정하였다(실험 22일). 결 과 암컷 생쥐의 경우, 저용량과 고용량의 amisulpride 투여군에서는 유의한 체중 증가를 보였으며, risperidone 역시 유의한 체중 증가를 보였다. 그러나, 두 amisulpride군의 증가량은 risperidone군의 증가량에 비해 수치적으로 작았다. 수컷 생쥐의 경우, 고용량의 amisulpride만이 유의한 체중 증가를 가져왔다. 체중 증가를 보였던 집단 중에서, 고용량의 amisulpride를 투여하였던 수컷 생쥐만이 유의하게 증가된 먹이 섭취량과 연관성이 있었다. 암컷 생쥐에서 체중 증가를 보였던 군들은 먹이 섭취량과 유의한 상관성을 보이지 않았다. 수컷 생쥐에서, 두 개의 amisulpride 투여군 모두는 vehicle에 비해 유의하게 높은 혈장 insulin 수치를 보였다. 암컷과 수컷 생쥐에서, 저용량과 고용량의 amisulpride 투여군은 vehicle과 비교하여 유의하게 높은 혈장 prolactin수치를 보였다. Triglyceride는 모든 집단에서 유의하게 변화하지 않았으며 glucose는 수컷 risperidone 투여군에서만 유의하게 변화하였다. 결 론 Amisulpride는 암수 생쥐에서 체중 증가를 일으키지만, 대사 이상에 대한 결과는 성별에 따라 차이가 있었다. 본 연구의 결과는 amisulpride에 의한 체중 증가에 암수 생쥐에서 서로 다른 기전이 작용할 가능성을 시사한다.

  • Vehicle model validation for the static vehicle testing has been done by comparison of the simulation results and test results and the parameters of the vehicle model to be used in the simulation have been adjusted to reflect the measured behaviour. The vehicle model fort the simulation should be validated by suitable tests and/or practical experience. The static vehicle test used to validate the vehicle model are the weight measurement, the wheel offloading test, the bogie rotational resistance test and the sway test. Finally, the computer simulation model has been validated and using the validated vehicle model the acceptance of the vehicle safety of the resistance to flange climbing derailment at low speed can be examined.

과다 설계변수를 고려한 차량 BIW의 소재배치 최적화 (Material Arrangement Optimization for Automotive BIW considering a Large Number of Design Variables)

  • Weight reduction of a automobile has been steadily tried in automotive industry to improve fuel efficiency, driving performance and the production profits. Since the weight of BIW takes up a large portion of the total weight of the automobile, reducing the weight of BIW greatly contributes to reducing the total weight of the vehicle. To reduce weight, vehicle manufacturers have tried to apply lightweight materials, such as aluminum and high-strength steel, to the components of BIW instead of conventional steel. In this research, material arrangement of an automotive BIW was optimized by formulating a design problem to minimize weight of the BIW while satisfying design requirements about bending and torsional stiffness and perform a metamodel-based design optimization strategy. As a result of the design optimization, weight of the BIW is reduced by 45.7% while satisfying all design requirements.

  • The automotive industry is currently trying to develop light- weight vehicle for both improvement of fuel efficiency and reduction of environmental pollution. For the reduction of vehicle weight, the substitution of aluminum for steel has been increased. However, the change of material causes a significant problem with respect to the method of joining. In this paper, strength of several aluminum joining methods such as spot welding, metal insert gas(MIG) welding, adhesive bonding was evaluated by performing lap test.

  • MAGLEV is the vehicle which can run in levitated condition by the electro-magnets, and the vehicle can run without any contact condition. In MAGLEV system achieving a high magnetic field for minimum weight is a noteworthy goal. Unfortunately the two aspects of this goal high field and low weight are contradictory. Suitable designs must be sought using optimization techniques. In this paper, magnet attraction force is calculated and conformed by experimental data for designing a electro-magnet.

  • The structural behavior of the composite material light rail vehicle body are investigated. Composite material is very useful for light rail vehicle structure due to its high specific strength and lightweight characteristics. The main carbody is made of aluminum alloy. The side wall and roof with composite panels can reduce total vehicle weight about 2000kg. In addition, with the lower density of the foam, enhances lightness in the panel and to save the operation expenses. The finite element analysis code, ANSYS is used to evaluate the stability of the body structure under the various load conditions.

  • In recent years, developments of light weight vehicle are one of the most important issues in automotive makers. New materials and new processes have been studied on the point of weight saving of chassis worldwide. Associated with materials, applications of high strength steel, aluminium, magnesium are being developed. On the point of new processes, tailored welded blank and hydroforming have been applied. In this paper, focusing to both material and process, we have applied hydroforming process to the engine cradle. In addition to that, three kinds of high strength steel have been applied to the development of light weight material for hydroforming. All the studies have been carried by FEM.
