소형 전기자동차 CAN 데이터 기반의 시뮬레이션 모델 개발 (Development of a Simulation Model based on CAN Data for Small Electric Vehicle)

  • Recently, major developed countries have strengthened automobile fuel efficiency regulations and carbon dioxide emission allowance standards to curb climate change caused by global warming worldwide. Accordingly, research and manufacturing on electric vehicles that do not emit pollutants during actual driving on the road are being conducted. Several automobile companies are producing and testing electric vehicles to commercialize them, but it takes a lot of manpower and time to test and evaluate mass-produced electric vehicles with driving mileage of more than 300km on a per-charge. Therefore, in order to reduce this, a simulation model was developed in this study. This study used vehicle information and MCT speed profile of small electric vehicle as basic data. It was developed by applying Simulink, which models the system in a block diagram method using MATLAB software. Based on the vehicle dynamics, the simulation model consisted of major components of electric vehicles such as motor, battery, wheel/tire, brake, and acceleration. Through the development model, the amount of change in battery SOC and the mileage during driving were calculated. For verification, battery SOC data and vehicle speed data were compared and analyzed using CAN communication during the chassis dynamometer test. In addition, the reliability of the simulation model was confirmed through an analysis of the correlation between the result data and the data acquired through CAN communication.

고속도로 종단지형을 고려한 연료 효율적 최적주행전략 모형 개발 (Development of Optimized Driving Model for decreasing Fuel Consumption in the Longitudinal Highway Section)

  • 국토교통부는 2020년까지 수송부문 온실가스 배출량의 감축목표를 34.3%로 설정하였다. 목표달성을 위해 에코드라이빙 교육 및 정보를 제공하고 있으나 배출량 감축효과가 미비하다. 따라서 본 연구는 연료 효율적인 최적주행전략 모형의 개발을 목적으로 하였다. 종단경사도 및 길이가 다양한 도로지형을 생성하고 주행모드를 바탕으로 하는 시나리오별 속도 프로파일을 Comprehensive Modal Emission Model에 적용하여 연료소모량을 산정하였다. 연료소모량이 최소가 되는 시나리오와 속도변화량을 도출하였다. 도출된 시나리오와 속도변화량을 기반으로 최적주행전략 모형을 개발하였다. 개발된 모형을 검증하고자 실차테스트를 수행하여 일반 운전자의 속도 데이터를 수집하였다. 개발된 모형에 의해 생성된 속도 프로파일과 일반운전에 생성된 속도 프로파일을 분석하고 각각 연료소모량을 산정하였다. 최적주행 시 소모된 연료소모량이 일반운전보다 평균 11.8% 감축하는 것으로 분석되었다.

철도차량 차륜마멸예측에 관한 연구 (A study on the prediction of wheel wear of railway rolling stock)

  • This paper describes an analytical method for wheel wear prediction. The outputs from vehicle dynamic software are used to calculation the wheel wear. Two calculation examples are shown for a high-speed line and a conventional line. Through the comparison of two cases, we can see the wheel wear characteristics on the conventional line and the high-speed line. The conventional line has many curved tracks that cause severe wheel flange wear. The influences of curve radius on wheel wear are also described considering the operational performance of the high speed trainset. A method of calculation using contact patch work model is presented for determination of the evolution by wear railway wheels.

  • This is a testing equipment system to analyze variation of creep force according to wheel-rail tread profile, running speed of vehicle, vertical and lateral force, wheel/rail contact point, attack angle and so on. The creep force affect vehicle derailment, especially climbing derailment. This system is composed of main frame, wheelset and rail disks driver, hydraulic actuator, controller, environmental chamber, safety system and so on.

  • In this paper, we propose a simulator for testing of the Navigation Control System(NCS) in Bimodal-tram. NCS uses values of all sorts of sensors installed in vehicle to decide current position, and to control speed and steering of vehicle to go to a next position. Major functions of simulator are input processing of the driver and generation of virtual sensor data and driving profile(navigation path, magnetic information), and the NCS function. Virtual sensor data is generated according to output data from the NCS, driving profile and input processing of the driver, and monitoring systems is operated separatedly to confirm of NCS operation. This paper discusses about the implementation of the simulator, and analyzes and evaluates the simulation results.

  • The personal rapid transit (PRT) system is a small scale transportation system that employs a novel concept to solve the traffic congestion problem in the city area. The PRT system is a driverless on-demand system that a passenger calls a vehicle rather than waits for the vehicle. Therefore, one of the most important issues in the PRT system is how to control the vehicle with the satisfaction of the basic concept of the PRT system. In this paper a computer simulator is introduced to evaluate the vehicle. operational control algorithm of the PRT system. The. computer simulator has the commercial embedded processor boards that operate in the real time operating system and pre-designed vehicle control algorithm is coded into the processor boards. The experimental results present the effectiveness of the proposed evaluation apparatus.

Effect of vehicle flexibility on the vibratory response of bridge

  • In the recent times, dimensions of heavy load carrying vehicle have changed significantly incorporating structural flexibility in vehicle body. The present paper outlines a procedure for the estimation of bridge response statistics considering structural bending modes of the vehicle. Bridge deck roughness has been considered to be non homogeneous random process in space. Influence of pre cambering of bridge surface and settlement of approach slab on the dynamic behavior of the bridge has been studied. A parametric study considering vehicle axle spacing, mass, speed, vehicle flexibility, deck unevenness and eccentricity of vehicle path have been conducted. Dynamic amplification factor (DAF) of the bridge response has been obtained for several of combination of bridge-vehicle parameters. The present study reveals that flexible modes of vehicle can reduce dynamic response of the bridge to the extent of 30-37% of that caused by rigid vehicle model. However, sudden change in the bridge surface profile leads to significant amount of increment in the bridge dynamic response even if flexible bending modes remain active. The eccentricity of vehicle path and flexural/torsional rigidity ratios plays a significant role in dynamic amplification of bridge response.

  • This paper presents a cruise control system design using variable structure control (AVCS) is an important part of the intelligent vehicle and highway systems (IVHS). A vehicle desired acceleration profile has been designed based on the vehicle speed and distance control algorithm. Cruise control system has been designed using VSC theory for which we propose a moving switching surface(MSS). It has been shown that the proposed control system can provide satisfactory performance. Simulation results are given to show the effectiveness of this controller.

포장 프로파일이 포장 피로수명에 미치는 영향 분석 (Effect of Surface Profiles on Pavement Fatigue Life)

  • 본 논문에서는 아스팔트 콘크리트 포장의 표층 프로파일과 차량특성인 차량속도와 현가장치를 다르게 하여 트럭 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 통한 동적하중을 분석하였다. 다양한 포장 상태의 프로파일을 입력하여 동적하중을 분석하였으며 프로파일, 차량의 현가장치, 차량속도에 따른 동적하중 변화를 분석하였다. 포장 거칠기가 증가할수록 동적하중이 증가하였으며, 속도가 증가할 수 록 동일한 포장 거칠기 하에서 동적하중이 증가하였다. Walking beam 현가장치가 Air spring 현가장치에 비해 더 큰 동적하중을 보였다. 동적하중 공분산을 이용하여 포장파손 지수를 결정하였으며, 동적하중 공분산과 신뢰도, 아스팔트 혼합물의 파괴매개변수가 증가할 수록 포장파손지수도 증가하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 이용하여 차량속도와 표층 아스팔트 혼합물 파괴특성에 근거한 포장 평탄성 규정에 이용할 수 있으며, 아스팔트 콘크리트 포장 시공 후 포장 평탄성에 근거한 지불규정에 효과적으로 사용할 수 있다고 판단된다.

전방차량충돌경고장치(FVCWS) 평가 시스템 (Evaluation System for Forward Vehicle Collision Warning System)

  • The main function of the Forward Vehicle Collision Warning System (FVCWS) is to warn a driver when he or she experiences dangerous situations caused by a forward vehicle. Warning distance algorithms under same dangerous circumstances are often various depending on automobile manufacturers and component suppliers. Human factors also should be considered to warn the driver at an adequate warning distance. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a system for evaluating the pertinent warning timing in an identically dangerous situation. The system consists of sensors for measuring speed and acceleration of subject vehicle and target vehicle, controllers to follow the velocity profile properly, and wireless telecommunication equipments for receiving or transmitting the measured data in a real-time. According to actual field tests, it is shown that the developed system is suitable to evaluate warning distance of FVCWS.
