차세대 분산형 고속열차의 후미진동 저감에 관한 연구 (A Study on Tail Vibration Reduction for the Next Generation High Speed EMU)

  • 본 연구는 차세대 분산형 고속전철 시제차량(HEMU-430X)의 후미진동저감에 관한것이다. VAMPIRE 해석을 통한 주행거동 관찰에서 HEMU-430X는 전두부 유선형 형상유지를 위하여 설치된 한방향 요댐퍼 때문에 후미차량에서 횡방향 진동이 예상되었으며, 430km/h에서 기준치를 초과하는 경우가 있었다. 이 후미진동을 감소시키기 위하여 차륜답면 형상변경, 횡댐퍼 댐핑계수조정, 요댐퍼 계수조정 등 다양한 방법을 시도하였으나 후미진동이 없어지지 않았다. 최종적으로 요댐퍼를 양방향으로 바꾸었을 때 횡방향 진동이 사라졌다. 실제 시운전에서는 150km/h로 주행하였을 때 횡방향 후미진동이 나타났으며, 요댐퍼를 양방향으로 바꾸어 300km/h 주행 시에도 후미진동이 나타나지 않았다. 추후 430km/h까지 최고속도시험을 수행할 예정인데 높은 속도에서 후미진동이 다시 발생한다면 본 연구에서 제시한 차륜답면 형상변화, 횡댐퍼 계수 조정 등의 방법을 이용해서 진동을 저감시킬 수 있을 것이다.

전자기센서를 이용한 고속철도용 차륜재의 구름접촉피로 손상 모니터링 (Damage Monitoring of Rolling Contact Fatigue in Wheel Specimen for High Speed Train Using Electro-Magnetic Sensor)

  • Upon investigation of the damaged wheels for high speed train it was determined that the damage was caused by rolling contact fatigue during operation of train. The major problems that railway vehicle system using wheel-rail has to face during operation of railway vehicle are rolling contact fatigue, cracks in wheels, cracks in rails and wheel-rail profile wear. If these deficiencies are not controlled at early stages the huge economical problems due to unexpected maintenance cost in railway vehicle can be happened. Also, If the accurate knowledge of contact conditions between wheel and rail can be evaluated, the damage of wheel can be prevented and the maintenance operation can save money. This paper presents the applicability of electro-magnetic technique to the detection and sizing of defects in wheel. Under the condition of continuous rolling contact fatigue the damage of wheel has continuously monitored using the applied sensor. It was shown that the usefulness of the applied sensor was verified by twin disc test and the measured damaged sizes showed good agreement with the damaged sizes estimated by electro-magnetic technique.

모바일 크라우드소싱 기반 운전자 지원 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Mobile Crowdsourcing-based Driver Assistance Systems (MC-DAS))

  • 광범위하게 보급된 스마트폰의 다양한 센서들과 통신/사용자 인터페이스 그리고 연산능력을 활용하여 교통정보를 수집하는 모바일 크라우드소싱 시스템에 관한 관심이 최근 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 특정 도로구간을 통과하는 스마트폰 GPS 수신기와 다양한 센서들이 생성한 데이터를 크라우드소싱하고, 대규모 정보처리를 통해 도로구간의 프로파일 정보를 생성하여 이를 해당 도로구간에 진입하는 차량에게 전달하여 운전의 편의성을 향상하는 모바일 크라우드소싱 기반 운전자 지원 시스템(MC-DAS)을 제시한다. MC-DAS 플랫폼을 기반으로 과속방지턱과 도로 곡률을 고려하여 속력조언을 제공하는 내비게이션 시스템을 설계/개발하고, 도로주행 실험을 통해 속력조언 내비게이션 시스템의 동작을 검증하였다. 제안하는 MC-DAS 플랫폼은 향후 스마트폰과 결합된 다양한 서비스를 제공하기 위한 플랫폼으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

VEHICLE ELECTRIC POWER SIMULATOR FOR OPTIMIZING THE ELECTRIC CHARGING SYSTEM

  • The vehicle electric power system, which consists of two major components: a generator and a battery, which have to provide numerous electrical and electronic systems with enough electrical energy. A detailed understanding of the characteristics of the electric power system, electrical load demands, and the driving environment such as road, season, and vehicle weight is required when the capacities of the generator and the battery are to be determined for a vehicle. An easy-to-use and inexpensive simulation program may be needed to avoid the over/under design problem of the electric power system. A vehicle electric power simulator is developed in this study. The simulator can be utilized to determine the optimal capacities of generators and batteries. To improve the expandability and easy usage of the simulation program, the program is organized in modular structures, and is run on a PC. Empirical electrical models of various generators and batteries, and the structure of the simulation program are presented. For executing the vehicle electric power simulator, data of engine speed profile and electric loads of a vehicle are required, and these data are obtained from real driving conditions. In order to improve the accuracy of the simulator, numerous driving data of a vehicle are logged and analyzed.

자동차 글라스 조립 자동화설비를 위한 FPGA기반 실러 도포검사 비전시스템 개발 (Development of an FPGA-based Sealer Coating Inspection Vision System for Automotive Glass Assembly Automation Equipment)

  • In this study, an FPGA-based sealer inspection system was developed to inspect the sealer applied to install vehicle glass on a car body. The sealer is a liquid or paste-like material that promotes adhesion such as sealing and waterproofing for mounting and assembling vehicle parts to a car body. The system installed in the existing vehicle design parts line does not detect the sealer in the glass rotation section and takes a long time to process. This study developed a line laser camera sensor and an FPGA vision signal processing module to solve this problem. The line laser camera sensor was developed such that the resolution and speed of the camera for data acquisition could be modified according to the irradiation angle of the laser. Furthermore, it was developed considering the mountability of the entire system to prevent interference with the sealer ejection machine. In addition, a vision signal processing module was developed using the Zynq-7020 FPGA chip to improve the processing speed of the algorithm that converted the profile to the sealer shape image acquired from a 2D camera and calculated the width and height of the sealer using the converted profile. The performance of the developed sealer application inspection system was verified by establishing an experimental environment identical to that of an actual automobile production line. The experimental results confirmed the performance of the sealer application inspection at a level that satisfied the requirements of automotive field standards.

초고속 비행체용 소모성 터빈엔진 사전연구 (Prestudy on Expendable Turbine Engine for High-Speed Vehicle)

  • 초고속 비행체에 적용 가능한 소모성 터빈엔진 개발을 위한 사전연구를 수행하였다. 엔진 요구도 및 설계점 결정을 위한 가상 운용임무형상을 선정하고, 유사급 엔진과 참고문헌 등을 통해 확보된 데이터를 활용하여 설계점 해석을 수행하였는데, 해면고도, 마하수 1.2 조건에서 터빈입구온도 3,600R에 대한 설계점 계산결과, 비추력 2599.4 ft/s, 비연료소모율 1.483 lb/($lb^*h$)이 예측되었다. 설계점 계산결과를 기준으로 두 가지 임무형상에 대한 엔진 성능해석결과, 엔진 최대 순추력을 결정하는 설계변수는 천음속 및 낮은 초음속영역에서는 터빈입구온도, 높은 초음속 영역에서는 압축기 출구온도임을 확인하였다. 이밖에도 단순, 저가, 경량의 엔진형상으로 축류형 다단압축기와 직류형 연소기, 1단 축류터빈, 고정 수축팽창 노즐이 적용된 단순터보제트엔진을 제시하였다.

Analysis of the Reduction Gear in Electric Agricultural Vehicle

  • In electric agricultural machine a reduction gear is needed to convert the high speed rotation motion generated by DC motor to lower speed rotation motion used by the vehicle. The reduction gear consists of several spur gears. Spur gears are the most easily visualized gears that transmit motion between two parallel shafts and easy to produce. The modelling and simulation of spur gears in DC motor reduction gear is important to predict the actual motion behaviour. A pair of spur gear tooth in action is generally subjected to two types of cyclic stress: contact stress and bending stress. The stress may not attain their maximum values at the same point of contact fatigue. These types of failure can be minimized by analysis of the problem during the design stage and creating proper tooth surface profile with proper manufacturing methods. To improve its life expectation in this study modal and stress analysis of reduction gear is simulated using ANSYS workbench based on finite element method (FEM). The modal analysis was done to understand reduction gear deformation behaviour when vibration occurs. FEM static stress analysis is also simulated on reduction gear to simulate the gear teeth bending stress and contact stress behaviour.

도시형 전동차를 위한 능동조향대차시스템의 적용가능성 고찰 (Possibility Investigation of the Active Steering Bogie System for a Urban Railway Vehicle)

  • On a conventional rail vehicle, passive primary suspensions stabilize wheelsets in the longitudinal and yaw direction. However, these suspensions reduce the natural curving ability due to the profile of the wheels. Stabilizing and steering of the wheelsets generate the conflict problems in design process. Therefore, most systems are designed to guarantee the stability in spite of decreased curving performance. As a result, severe wear of the wheels and rails occur on tight curves and squeal noise on curving is high. Active steering has been proposed to satisfy stabilizing and steering performance simultaneously. This paper describes the possibility investigation about the application of the active steering bogie for a urban railway vehicle. Vehicles run on an amount of tight curves at mid or low speed in urban railways. Thus, it is important to reduce the wear and squeal noise between wheels and rails. Simulations show that active steering can be reduce the wear and squeal noise significantly compared to conventional systems.

실차 상태에서의 제동시 이상떨림 현상에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Brake Judder of Braking on Vehicle)

  • The study presents a new testing and analysis method for brake judder on vehicle. For the identification of the excitation mechanism of a brake judder, it is necessary to measure the dynamic brake disc geometry during braking on vehicle. The non-contact sensor system was used to monitor the brake disc geometry. Brake torque variation (BTV) caused by disc thickness variation (DTV) is the primary excitation for brake judder. The mechanical effects generating BTV are linked not only to initial manufacturing tolerances but also to uneven wear. Therefore, the brake disc geometry should be strictly managed to initial condition. The aim of this study has been to measure the dynamic DTV and runout on vehicle and analyze the influence of test parameters on brake judder and compare the disc component with vehicle matching about the DTV Profile. As a result of this study, The amplitude of brake judder is proportional to vehicle speed and fluid pressure fluctuation on braking. The major sources of brake judder are directly related to disc thickness variation and side runout variation of corner assembly (disc, hub. bearing).
