WIM 자료를 활용한 화물차량의 축중량 추정 모형 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of Truck Axle Load Estimation Model Using Weigh-In-Motion Data)

  • 축중계를 통한 화물차량의 축하중 자료는 도로의 설계, 유지관리, 시설물 보호 등의 위해서 필수적인 자료이다. 이와 같은 용도로 고속축중계의 자료는 도로계획, 연구자, 공무들은 고속축중계 자료를 활용한다. 또한 최근에는 중차량에 대한 단속에도 고속축중계의 자료를 활용하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 일반국도에서 수집된 고속축중계 자료를 활용하여 축하중을 추정하는 모형을 개발하였다. 추정된 축하중 추정 모형은 기존의 평균값을 이용한 방법과의 비교를 통하여 개발된 모형에 대한 비교 평가하였다. 축중량 추정에 있어 기존의 평균값을 적용하는 것보다 회귀모형을 적용하는 것이 모든 차종에 걸쳐서 작은 오차를 보이는 것으로 분석되었다. 향후 이러한 모형은 현장에서 운영되는 고속축중계의 결측자료 보정, 재보정 여부에 대한 평가 등의 목적으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

가속도 값을 이용한 궤도 불규칙도 검측 (Estimation of Rail Irregularities by using Acceleration values)

  • Railroad is the major factor of vibration source in railway vehicles, and it must carefully maintained the original condition to secure the safety and good ride comfort of passenger. Measuring the condition of rail irregularities such as surface, alignment, gauge, twist and cant etc is required to maintain the good performance of railroad. Currently, the various rail irregularity measurement systems(EM120, ROGER1000K and the Total Rail Irregularity Measurement system of Korea High Speed Train) are operated in Korea to estimate the rail irregularity. It is hard to verify the correlation of one rail irregularity data of a measurement system with the other, because they have been adopted different rail irregularity estimation methods. The best method securing the reliability of the irregularity data is the direct confirmation on the ground where the measurement system had detected as a fault section, but it is impossible to apply all sections simultaneously due to limitation of time, labor, cost and equipments. There is a method to secure the reliability of the data by using acceleration values. Rail irregularities, the major factor of vibration in railway vehicle, are transmitted to the vehicle acceleration through masses, springs, dampers and joints as the system dynamic formation. In this study, Transition Function has been adopted by using the rail irregularity and the acceleration value regarding as input & output parameters respectively. It has been verified by comparing the analyzed results with real measured irregularity data from the Total Rail Irregularity Measurement system of Korea High Speed Train. Also various methods has been accomplished to verify the correlation between rail irregularities and acceleration values.

TLM 시각 동기 신호를 이용한 고속 이동체의 위치 추정 (Position Estimation Technique of High Speed Vehicle Using TLM Timing Synchronization Signal)

  • 항법 장치가 존재하지 않거나 전파 방해가 발생할 경우, 고속 이동체의 전파 항법은 불가능해진다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 다수의 지상국이 존재하며 고속 이동체와 지상국간의 정밀 거리 측정치를 확보할 수 있다면 이동체의 위치 추정이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 텔레메트리 (TLM; telemetry) 신호를 사용하여 생성한 고정밀 TDOA (time difference of arrival) 측정치를 이용한 위치 추정 방식을 제안한다. 제안한 방식에서는 TDOA 측정치를 사용하여 이동체의 공통 오차를 제거하였다. 또한 SOQPSK (shaped offset quadrature phase shift keying) PN (pseudo random noise) 심볼을 포함하여 정밀 시각 동기 및 측정이 가능한 TLM 신호를 기반으로 한 측정치를 사용하였다. 따라서 시스템 내 정밀 시각 동기가 이뤄진 상태이므로 지상국간의 시각 동기 오차가 매우 작은 값을 가진다. 이는 측정치의 정밀도를 높여 위치 추정 성능을 향상시킨다. 제안한 방식은 소프트웨어 기반의 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증되었으며, 고속 이동체의 위치 추정 성능이 목표했던 성능을 만족함을 확인하였다.

Analyzing the Difference between the Stated Preference and the Revealed Preference before/after the High-speed Rail Service in Korea

  • The Korean high-speed rail (HSR) began its commercial service in 2004. This service has been created significant changes in the system of intercity passenger travels of Korea. However, the actual ridership was approximately half of the estimated one in the planning stage. In this background, this paper presents the difference between the stated preference (SP) before the HSR service and the revealed preference (RP) after it using the intercity travel mode choice models. Several meaningful differences are found in terms of the factors affecting the travel mode choice, the estimation results of model, the monetary values of time, and elasticities. While the access/egress travel time of high-speed rail is less important than in-vehicle travel time in the SP sample, they have same weight in the RP sample. Also the RP models show that the probability of choosing HSR can be decreased by the increase of the number of vehicles in household contrary to the results from the SP models. The monetary values of travel time are relatively high and the direct and cross elasticities in response to changes in level-of-service of HSR are relatively low in the RP sample. This Korean case is expected to offer referable material for preparing high-speed rail services in other countries by showing the difference between the SP and RP before/after the actual service, identifying the importance of access/egress travel time and lower direct elasticities of HSR demand.

고속 수중운동체 탐지를 위한 일반화된 사인파 주파수 변조 기반 고해상도 거리 및 속도 추정 기법 (High-resolution range and velocity estimation method based on generalized sinusoidal frequency modulation for high-speed underwater vehicle detection)

  • 고속 수중운동체 능동 탐지는 수중 무기 방어 시스템에 중요한 기술로, 정확한 표적 탐지와 거리 및 속도 추정이 필수적이다. 빔 형성 각도마다 신호를 순차적으로 송신해야 하지만 펄스 분할 송신 방법은 거리 추정의 모호성이 발생한다. 이를 보완하기 위해 다중 주파수 기반 방법이 제안되었지만 대역폭을 분할할 경우 시간-대역폭 곱에서 손실이 발생한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해, 본 연구에서는 대역폭을 분할하지 않아도 부펄스 간의 상관관계를 낮게 설계할 수 있는 일반화된 사인파 주파수 변조(Generalized Sinusoidal Frequency Modulation, GSFM)를 사용한 능동 고속 탐지 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 펄스 길이를 최소화시킨 GSFM을 사용함으로써 표적의 거리와 속도를 빠르게 갱신할 수 있다. 제안한 방법의 성능을 검증하기 위해 잔향이 존재하는 모의 환경을 구축하였다. 모의 실험 결과 0.05 s의 선형 주파수 변조 펄스는 한정적인 주파수 대역으로 인해 추정 거리 대비 평균적으로 50 %의 거리 추정 오차와 103 %의 속도 추정오차가 발생하였다. 이에 반해, GSFM은 같은 길이의 펄스를 사용하더라도 추정 거리 대비 거리 추정 오차와 속도 추정 오차가 각각 10 %와 14 %로 표적을 비교적 정확하고 빠르게 추적할 수 있었다. 게다가, GSFM은 방위별로 직교성이 높은 부펄스를 송신하여 표적의 대략적인 방위까지 알 수 있었다.

1-Point Ransac Based Robust Visual Odometry

  • Many of the current visual odometry algorithms suffer from some extreme limitations such as requiring a high amount of computation time, complex algorithms, and not working in urban environments. In this paper, we present an approach that can solve all the above problems using a single camera. Using a planar motion assumption and Ackermann's principle of motion, we construct the vehicle's motion model as a circular planar motion (2DOF). Then, we adopt a 1-point method to improve the Ransac algorithm and the relative motion estimation. In the Ransac algorithm, we use a 1-point method to generate the hypothesis and then adopt the Levenberg-Marquardt method to minimize the geometric error function and verify inliers. In motion estimation, we combine the 1-point method with a simple least-square minimization solution to handle cases in which only a few feature points are present. The 1-point method is the key to speed up our visual odometry application to real-time systems. Finally, a Bundle Adjustment algorithm is adopted to refine the pose estimation. The results on real datasets in urban dynamic environments demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm.

알루미늄 합금의 레이저 가공에서 인장 강도 예측을 위한 회귀 모델 및 신경망 모델의 개발 (Development of Statistical Model and Neural Network Model for Tensile Strength Estimation in Laser Material Processing of Aluminum Alloy)

  • Aluminum alloy which is one of the light materials has been tried to apply to light weight vehicle body. In order to do that, welding technology is very important. In case of the aluminum laser welding, the strength of welded part is reduced due to porosity, underfill, and magnesium loss. To overcome these problems, laser welding of aluminum with filler wire was suggested. In this study, experiment about laser welding of AA5182 aluminum alloy with AA5356 filler wire was performed according to process parameters such as laser power, welding speed and wire feed rate. The tensile strength was measured to find the weldability of laser welding with filler wire. The models to estimate tensile strength were suggested using three regression models and one neural network model. For regression models, one was the multiple linear regression model, another was the second order polynomial regression model, and the other was the multiple nonlinear regression model. Neural network model with 2 hidden layers which had 5 and 3 nodes respectively was investigated to find the most suitable model for the system. Estimation performance was evaluated for each model using the average error rate. Among the three regression models, the second order polynomial regression model had the best estimation performance. For all models, neural network model has the best estimation performance.

Inflow Prediction and First Principles Modeling of a Coaxial Rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle in Forward Flight

  • When the speed of a coaxial rotor helicopter in forward flight increases, the wake skew angle of the rotor increases and consequently the position of the vena contracta of the upper rotor with respect to the lower rotor changes. Considering ambient air and the effect of the upper rotor, this study proposes a nonuniform inflow model for the lower rotor of a coaxial rotor helicopter in forward flight. The total required power of the coaxial rotor system was compared against Dingeldein's experimental data, and the results of the proposed model were well matched. A plant model was also developed from first principles for flight simulation, unknown parameter estimation and control analysis. The coaxial rotor helicopter used for this study was manufactured for surveillance and reconnaissance and does not have any stabilizer bar. Therefore, a feedback controller was included during flight test and parameter estimation to overcome unstable situations. Predicted responses of parameter estimation and validation show good agreement with experimental data. Therefore, the methodology described in this paper can be used to develop numerical plant model, study non-uniform inflow model, conduct performance analysis and parameter estimation of coaxial rotor as well as other rotorcrafts in forward flight.

국내 철도분야 탄소배출권 확보방안 연구 (A Study on Carbon Emission Credit Acquisition in Domestic Railroad Sector)

  • It is expected that domestic railway vehicle operation companies may be subjected to GHG emission reduction when GHG emission system is enforced. This study aimed that reviewing on GHG emission system such as CDM, VCS and KCER, and analysing availability of GHG emission credit acquisition for railroad transportation sector. In order to estimate GHG emission credit, a GHG emission estimation methodology should be developed, which includes GHG emission baseline estimation and GHG emission monitoring method, MRV method and etc. Modal shift project, high speed train technology, straight lining project, mass transportation technology, operation optimization tehcnology and etc. may produce GHG emission credit.

BWIM Using Measured Acceleration and Strain Data

  • A new BWIM(bridge weigh-in-motion) algorithm using both measured strain and acceleration data is proposed. To consider the effects of bridge vibration on the estimation of moving loads, the dynamic governing equation is applied with the known stiffness and mass properties but damping is ignored. Dynamic displacements are computed indirectly from the measured strains using the beam theory and accelerations are measured directly by accelerometers. To convert a unit moving load to its equivalent nodal force, a transformation matrix is determined. The incompleteness in the measured responses is considered in developing the algorithm. To examine the proposed BWIM algorithm, simulation studies, laboratory experiments and field tests were carried. In the simulation study, effects of measurement noise and estimation error in the vehicle speed on the results were investigated.
