  • Various studies on energy saving for construction sites have been carried out and some construction machines using motors have installed regenerative systems such as elevators and excavators. The construction lift also uses motors and generates more regenerative energy when the lifts descend because lifts convey many construction materials and workers. For this reason, it is possible to apply the regenerative system to the construction lift. However, if the system is applied without considering the lift's characteristics, the new development would fail; we therefore need to propose a performance requirement. Thus, the purpose of this study is to propose a performance requirement for the energy-regenerative lift prior to developing the energy-regenerative lift.

  • Urban transit is system that offer target Performance and function because various lower part system such as vehicles, signaling, power supply, rail track is consisted as complex. It is important first of all that describe correctly system requirement until configuration of system, design, manufacture, installation and test verification so that the complicated urban transit system is to act safety and reliable and to display target Performance and function properly. The system requirement assist the system developer to comprehensive the performance and function of system in basic design.   • Robot and application of IT skill of construction industry are slow comparatively than another thing industry by the feature. This research proposes progress management and real time information gathering through construction automation and RFID focused on steel structure construction. Building for RTPM system, must consider various variables and surrounding situation in construction field and it is the most important and difficult matter that draw right requirement and grasp relation between this requirements to accomplish one suitable task considering these environment. Therefore, in this study analyzes requirement and target for RTPM system based on scenario that is easy to draw requirement and apply this to use case model. Presented method suggests that represent relation between goals and way that refines goal systematically from requirement of RTPM system. And it could express for visualization through the Way that attaches nonfunctional elements of system with system internal goal.

Fault ride-through 요구를 고려한 풍력발전단지 연계선 보호 거리계전 알고리즘 (Distance Relaying Algorithm for Intertie Protection of a Wind Farm Considering the Fault Ride-through Requirement)

  • A large modern wind farm should satisfy the requirements for a grid and accomplish the optimization of the wind farm system. The wind farm intertie protection system should consider a Fault Ride-Through (FRT) requirement for more reliable protection. The wind farm should keep connected to the grid in the case of a grid fault whilst it should be isolated for an intertie fault. This paper proposes a distance relaying algorithm suitable for wind farm intertie protection considering the FRT requirement. The proposed algorithm estimates the impedance based on a differential equation method because the frequency of the voltage and current deviates the nominal frequency. The algorithm extends the reach of Zone 1 up to 100 % of the length of the intertie to implement the FRT requirement. To discriminate an intertie fault from a grid fault, the algorithm uses a voltage blocking scheme because the magnitude of the voltage at the relaying point for an intertie fault becomes less than that for a grid fault. The performance of the algorithm is verified using a PSCAD/EMTDC simulator under various fault conditions. The algorithm can discriminate successfully the intertie fault from grid fault and thus helps to implement the FRT requirement of a wind farm.

  • In general, urban railroad in Korea is constructed as a tunnel type under ground due to the various restricted conditions. Passengers in train running through underground tunnel compare to open space are exposed to severe noise environment. In this study, various performance characteristics of many candidate materials are surveyed and analyzed. And some important characteristics are tested. From this study, various performance requirement for noise reduction in railway tunnel were suggested.

  • The construction industry consists of various and massive architectural information as an architectural process includes a variety of design stages with cooperation of many disciplines. Particularly, architectural information is generated and managed through the life cycle of a building, from conceptual design stage to the construction and maintenance. A Building Information Model (BIM) serves as a shared knowledge resource for information about a facility forming a reliable basis for decisions during its life-cycle from inception onward. BIM technology accomplished quantitative development being utilized in various disciplines. However, it is necessary to develop environment and requirement for qualitative improvement of BIM based project. Particularly, requirement is very important for architectural design evaluations. The purpose of this study is to develop and apply of quality control requirement for improving the quality of architectural design in open BIM environments. To achieve this purpose, the authors have investigated case study for open BIM data quality control (software, guideline and application case) and classified quality control targets according to physical/logical quality and data quality. In addition, the authors have defined open BIM based quality control process and developed quality control requirements. Finally, the authors have developed rule based quality check system using requirements for efficient quality control based on open BIM.

  • Most software projects inevitably involve various types and degrees of uncertainty. Without proper risk assessment and coordination, software projects can easily run out of control and consume significant additional resource. Thus, risk management techniques are critical issues to information system researchers. Previous empirical studies of U.S. software firms support the adoption of development standardization and user requirement analysis techniques in risk-based software project management. Using data collected from software projects developed in Korea during 1999-2000, we conduct a comparative study to determine how risk management strategies impact software product and process performance in countries with dissimilar IT capabilities. In addition, we offer an alternative conceptualization of residual performance risk. We show that the use of residual performance risk as an intervening variable is inappropriate in IT developing countries like Korea where the role of late stage risk control remedies are critical. A revised model is proposed that generates more reliable empirical implications for Korean software projects.

Obstacle Awareness and Collision Avoidance Radar Sensor System for Smart UAV

  • In this paper, the critical requirement for obstacle awareness and avoidance is assessed with the compliance of the equivalent level of safety regulation, and then the collision avoidance sensor system is presented with the key design parameters for the requirement of the smart unmanned aerial vehicle in low-altitude flight. Based on the assessment of various sensors, small-sized radar sensor is selected for the suitable candidate due to the real-time range and range-rate acquisition capability of the stationary and moving aircraft even under all-weather environments. Through the performance analysis for the system requirement, the conceptual design result of radar sensor model is proposed with the range detection probability and collision avoidance mode is established based on the time-to-collision, which is analyzed by collision scenario.

  • 한국전자통신연구원은 위성항법의 다양한 응용프로그램과 항법알고리즘을 위한 시험 및 평가환경을 제공하는 소프트웨어 위성항법 이산화 IF 신호시뮬레이터를 소프트웨어 기반 GNSS 공공활용기술통합검증시스템 개발 과제의 일환으로 개발하고 있다. 소프트웨어 위성항법 신호시뮬레이터는 GPS 및 갈릴레오 디지털신호를 제공하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 소프트웨어 위성항법 이산화 IF 신호 시뮬레이터의 요구사항 및 개념설계에 대하여 기술하고 있다.
