The damping parameter of Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm switches between error backpropagation and Gauss-Newton learning and affects learning speed. Fixing the damping parameter induces some oscillation of error and decreases learning speed. Therefore, we propose the way of a variable damping parameter with referring to the alternation of error. The proposed method makes the damping parameter increase if error rate is large and makes it decrease if error rate is small. This method so plays the role of momentum that it can improve learning speed. We tested both iris recognition and wine recognition for this paper. We found out that this method improved learning speed in 67% cases on iris recognition and in 78% cases on wine recognition. It was also showed that the oscillation of error by the proposed way was less than those of other algorithms.
A laboratory experiment was conducted to find out the effect of inoculation with plant growth of associative $N_2$-fixing bacteria on the combination of eight different rice seedling with seven different associative $N_2$-fixing bacteria in which were isolated and identified from grasses and rice in saline and reclaimed saline paddy soil. Those were examined in N-free axenic culture medium. The result of this experiment exemplified the contribution of associative $N_2$-fixing bacteria to their host plant were varied much by the combination of rice cultivars and bacterial strains. Acetylene reduction ($N_2$-fixation) activity seems to be more variable with respect to the combination of rice cultivars and bacterial strains. The relationship between acetylene reduction activity and rice performance such as dry matter weight, plant height, root length, and number of root were statistically insignificant. However, in comparision with the control, the dry matter yield of Annapuruna was increased by inoculation of all the seven bacteria strains. Among the seven rice cultivars, the average acetylene reducing activity was the highest in Annapuruna, and Shingwang, and the lowest in IR-8 inoculated with Pseudomonas sp H8. Among the seven bacterial strains the highest acetylene reducing activity was obtained by the combination of Shingwang with Pseudomonas sp H8.

In this paper we consider the well-known semiparametric proportional hazards models for survival analysis. These models are usually used with few covariates and many observations (subjects). But, for a typical setting of gene expression data from DNA microarray, we need to consider the case where the number of covariates p exceeds the number of samples n. For a given vector of response values which are times to event (death or censored times) and p gene expressions(covariates), we address the issue of how to reduce the dimension by selecting the significant genes. This approach enables us to estimate the survival curve when n ${\ll}$p. In our approach, rather than fixing the number of selected genes, we will assign a prior distribution to this number. The approach creates additional flexibility by allowing the imposition of constraints, such as bounding the dimension via a prior, which in effect works as a penalty To implement our methodology, we use a Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method. We demonstrate the use of the methodology to diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) complementary DNA (cDNA) data and Breast Carcinomas data.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the sensitivity of WindSIM in complex terrain. As the flat areas for wind turbine installation become scarce globally, it becomes inevitable to install wind turbines in complex terrain. In order to predict annual energy production (AEP) in a more precise manner in complex terrain, it is of great importance to conduct such research. Three parameters: reference velocity, roughness and resolution have been chosen to see to which parameter WindSIM was the most sensitive in terms of annual energy production in complex terrain. By fixing two parameters and setting one parameter as a variable, it could be easily found that how annual energy production was effected by the change in each parameter.

In this paper, Sentence-Sip E Il Ka Gi Seo U1 E Gan Da was spoken by 4 men and 3 see sound is used for the experiment. A/D conversion time is 30 sec. Data are obtained using the microcomputer and compressed by ADPCM Rate of compression is 1/8. Data compressed by ADPCM are synthesized and compared to the original sound. Rate of speech identification is analysed using the sound pressure, white noise. Coding of ADPCM is done for 5bit. As the result of fixing starting voltage by 2.6V. It is acertained that variable value increases in initial speech signal and then process is made by minimum value "3". From the result of processing, synthesized sound is almost eaual to original sound. Minimum values cause distorition, Dummy Head System is used in this experiment.xperiment.

In this paper we consider the well-known semiparametric proportional hazards (PH) models for survival analysis. These models are usually used with few covariates and many observations (subjects). We consider the routing and wavelength assignment problem in survivable WDM transport network without wavelength conversion. We assume the single-link failure and a path protection scheme in optical layer. When a physical network and a set of working paths are given, the problem is to select a link-disjoint protection path for each working path and assign a wavelength for each working and protection path. We give an integer programming formulation of the problem and propose an algorithm to solve it based on column generation technique and variable fixing. We devise a branch-and-price algorithm to solve the column generation problem. We test the proposed algorithm on some randomly generated data and test results show that the algorithm gives very good solutions.
In this paper, a discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) frequency control algorithm is proposed to reduce the input current ripple of a multi-phase interleaved boost converter. Unlike conventional variable duty and constant frequency control, the proposed algorithm controls the switching frequency to regulate the output voltage. By fixing the duty ratio at 1/N in the N-phase interleaved boost converter, the input current ripple can be minimized by ripple cancellation. Furthermore, the negative effects of the diode reverse recovery current are eliminated because of the DCM characteristic. A frequency controller is designed to employ the proposed algorithm considering the magnetic permeability change. The proposed algorithm is analyzed in the frequency domain and verified by a 600 W three-phase boost converter prototype that achieved 57% ripple current reduction.
In this paper, we consider the routing and wavelength assignment problem in survivable WDM transport network without wavelength conversion. We assume the single-link failure and a path protection scheme in optical layer. When a physical network and a set of working paths are given, the problem is to select a link-disjoint protection path for each working path and assign a wavelength for each working and protection path. We give an integer programming formulation of the problem and propose an algorithm to solve it. Though the formulation has exponentially many variables, we solve the linear programming relaxation of it by using column generation technique. We devise a branch-and price algorithm to solve the column generation problem. After solving the linear programming relaxation, we apply a variable fixing procedure combined with the column generation to get an integral solution. We test the proposed algorithm on some randomly generated data and test results show that the algorithm gives very good solutions.

Often we receive misled conclusion in the research if properly variables are not analyzed. In different functional issues of management it is very essential that all the latent and observed variable are properly understood so management decisions will be relevant and effective. The objective of this paper is to investigate the use of different multivariate tools for analyzing in the management research : applied or basic. The sources of data is primary as well as secondary. The primary includes the observation of different research articles of the proceedings of different conferences. And the secondary includes different publications related to multivariate analysis. The study has revealed the reasons of not using such tools of research. The preliminary finding reveals that most of the researches do not use such analytical tools in a comprehensive manner. Carelessness in design while fixing the design aspect is the main reasons of not using appropriate design.
