Blower as an air supply system is one of the most important BOP (Balance of Plant) system fur FCV(Fuel Cell Vehicle). For generating and blowing compressed air, the motor of air blower consumes maximum 25% of net power and fuel cell demands a clean air. Considering the efficiency of whole FCV, low friction lubrication of high speed rotor is needed. For the purpose of reducing electrical power and supplying clean air to Fuel cell, oil-free air foil bearings are applied at the each side of brushless motor (BLDC) as journal bearings which diameter is 50mm. The normal power of driving motor has 1.7kW with the 30,000rpm operating range and the flow rate of air has maximum 160 SCFM. The impeller of blower was adopted a mixed type of centrifugal and axial which has several advantages for variable operating condition. The performance of turbo-blower and parameters of air foil bearings was investigated analytically and experimentally. From this study, the performance of the blower was confirmed to be suitable far 80kw PEM FC.
The effect of change in DFIG (doubly-fed wind power generator) rotating speed and active power on the grid was analyzed to understand the characteristics of wind power using the wind power simulator connected to the grid at Gochang Power Quality Test Center. Electric power quality improvement devices (DVR, STATCOM, SSTS) and electric power quality disturbance application devices for 22.9 kV grid are equipped at Gochang Power Quality Test Center. Induction motor and VVVF inverter were used to emulate the blade of a wind power generator, and a simulator for Cage wound induction generator and DFIG was developed. The trial line were assumed to be 20 km and 40 km in length, and variable wind speed pattern was set using wind speed data from Ducjeokdo to verify the power characteristics of the wind power generator according to rotating speed.

This paper presents a DC link voltage control method to reduce the ripple current and the switching loss in the sinusoidal current drive system for the wide-speed range PMSM. The DC link voltage of the three phase inverter in the sinusoidal current drive system is designed by the back-EMF voltage at maximum speed of the PMSM. In general, the drive systems have used the constant DC link voltage without reference to the motor speed. The current ripple causes hysteresis loss and makes noise. In addition, the switching loss on the inverter increases in proportion to the rise in the DC link voltage. In this paper, we propose the variable DC link voltage control method to reduce the current ripple in the PMSM drive system. We show reduction effect of the current repple and the switching loss through simulation results.

This paper proposed an adaptive fuzzy controller for controlling speed and positions of a container crane. The motor used in container crane is installed as SynRM with variable-speed drive having the robustness on the problems of energy and environment. The conventional PI controller is not able to accurately track the position, speed and sway angle of trolley due to the factors of environment and the parameter variety. In the paper, we analyzed the performance of SynRM derive applied to the container crane by using an adaptive fuzzy control of SynRM in order to solve those problems. This paper analyzed the characteristics of position and speed response and compared the performance of PI controller with an adapative Fuzzy controller, proving the validity.

Hot-wire measurements were carried out on the developing turbulent flows subject to plane rate of strain in a rotating curved duct. The cross-section of the curved duct varies from 100mm${\times}$50mm rectangular shape at the bend inlet gradually to the 50mm${\times}$100mm rectangular shape at the bend outlet. Experimental setup consists of the test section of $90^{\circ}$ curved duct, rotating disc of 1.95m diameter, Ag-Ni precision slip ring, automatic traversing mechanism, variable speed motor, centrifugal blower, orifice flowmeter and hot-wire anemometer. Data signals from the rotating curved duct are transmitted through the slip ring to the computer which is located at the outside of the rotating disc. 3-dimensional velocity and 6 Reynold stresses components were obtained from the fluctuating and mean voltage measured by the slant type hot-wire probe rotating into 6 orientations. We investigate the effects of Coriolis and centrifugal forces on the turbulence structure.

Active disturbance rejection control is a method in which the disturbance is removed from the controller by estimating the state variable using the Luenberger observer. The Luenberger observer is estimated by defining a nonlinear term including disturbance with constant characteristics in a steady state as a state variable. It can be shown that the speed tracking performance is improved by compensating the estimated state variable to the PI controller and the IP controller. The disturbance removal performance of the tracking control can be confirmed by observing that the estimated state error is within 1.9 [%] in the case of load fluctuation and the steady-state state tracking error converges to zero.
This is a test report of system efficiency for the moving-actuator type Bi-ventricular assist device (AnyHear $t^{MT}$ ) Seoul National University). $AnyHeart^{TM}$), as an energy converter. utilities a brushless DC motor(S/M 566-26A. Sierracin/ Magnedyne, Carlsbad, CA. U.S.A.) generating their pendulous motion in the epicyclic gear train. It is necessary to know about the overall efficiency of the system. The system is subdivided into three parts: motor part, actuator part and blood sac part (including valves, etc.) according to system mechanism. The motor was operated with a variable range of torque. angular speed and width of voltage Pulse In this report. $AnyHeart^{TM}$ is focused on the efficiency of the motor and actuator parts. 4 $\ell/min$ pump output. which is normal condition of $AnyHeart^{TM}$ system, the total system efficiency is 8%, which is composed of 50%, 85% and 17% efficiency (motor Part, actuator Part and blood sac Part) respectively. In the analyzed result. applied input voltage on normal condition of $AnyHeart^{TM}$ is determined. Also speed Profile with considering filling state of blood sac is Provided. In the test of the in vitro mock circulation. some experimental results are Provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Presented approach.

This paper is proposed an efficiency optimization control algorithm for a synchronous reluctance motor which minimizes the cower and iron losses. The design of the speed controller based on adaptive fuzzy-neural networks(AFNN) controller that is implemented using fuzzy control and neural networks. There exists a variety of combinations of d and f-axis current which provide a specific motor torque. The objective of the efficiency optimization controller is to seek a combination of d and q-axis current components, which provides minimum losses at a certain operating point in steady state. It is shown that the current components which directly govern the torque production have been very well regulated by the efficiency optimization control scheme. The proposed algorithm allows the electromagnetic losses in variable speed and torque drives to be reduced while keeping good torque control dynamics. The control performance of the hybrid artificial intelligent(HAI) controller is evaluated by analysis for various operating conditions. Analysis results are presented to show the validity of the proposed algorithm

As the industry is developed, uses of various electric motor are increasing from general home to various fields of industry, and the kind becomes various daily. For these reasons, it is required to study the remote control and a package management about change of a speed drive system the supervision of administration appliance by real time, and the collection and process data together using internet prevailed on industry whole. Also, we can expect big effect in time and space, side of cost-cutting by control directly and manage appliance through internet. This paper deals with the development of a Web-Based remote control system for permanent magnet synchronous motor drives. The client/server system using TCP/IP protocols and DSP controller for remote control through internet and the Web interface that users can confirm data and state of PMSM is developed. This system is available for driving, braking, variable speed control and monitoring for PMSM in real time through administration program of Web-Based.
