  • The widely used control theory based design of PI family controllers fails to perform satisfactorily under-parameter variation, nonlinear or load disturbance. In high performance applications, it is useful to automatically extract the complex relation that represent the drive behaviour. The use of loaming through example algorithms can be a powerful tool for automatic modelling variable speed drives. They can automatically extract a functional relationship representative of the drive behavior. These methods present some advantages over the classical ones since they do not rely on the precise knowledge of mathematical models and parameters. The paper proposes high performance speed and current control of synchronous reluctance motor(SynRM) drive using adaptive loaming mechanism-fuzzy neural network (ALM-FNN) and fuzzy logic control(FLC) controller. The proposed controller is developed to ensure accurate speed and current control of SynRM drive under system disturbances and estimation of speed using artificial neural network(ANN) controller. Also, this paper proposes the analysis results to verify the effectiveness of the ALM-FNN and ANN controller.

  • The field oriented control of induction motors is widely used in high performance applications. However, detuning caused by parameter disturbance still limits the performance of these drives. In order to accomplish variable speed operation conventional PI-like controllers are commonly used. These controllers provide limited good performance over a wide range of operation even under ideal field oriented conditions. This paper is proposed adaptive fuzzy controller(AFC) and artificial neural network(ANN) based on the vector controlled induction motor drive system. Also, this paper is proposed control of speed and current using fuzzy adaptation mechanism(FAM), AFC and estimation of speed using ANN. The proposed control algorithm is applied to induction motor drive system using FAM, AFC and ANN controller. Also, this paper is proposed the analysis results to verify the effectiveness of this controller.

  • Recently the importance of the cargo handling equipments in a port has been increasing to get strong competition from other ports. Many ports are making efforts to modernize their cargo handling equipments. The kernel technology of such equipments is the speed control of DC motor which is used as an essential part of them. In this paper, we discuss the speed control of a DC motor as a basic work for building cargo handling equipments in a port. DC Motors are still widely used in industrial fields, as driving power motor for electrical fields. DC drives, being easy to control, are widely used in many variable-speed and position control drive system. Traditional analog control circuits used in such applications have many disadvantages. Complex control schemes are difficult to implement with analog components. All these factor and invention of the microprocessor has made it possible to use digital control circuits, using microprocessing system. These digital circuits have been found to be reliable, flexible, and also immune to noise. In this paper it presents the speed control of a SCR DC motor driver which using dual converter by 80c196kc microprocessor. We developed a thyristor power amplifier which does not cause damage thyristor because it is designed to prevent triggering the two SCRs in the same arm simultaneously. And it was analyzed voltage and currents wave at reactive load.

  • 본 논문은 부하에 대한 빠른 응답 특성을 보이는 새로운 SRM 구동 토폴로지를 제안하였다. PI 제어기 출력이 포화될 때 windup 현상이 나타나고 그 결과로 성능이 저하된다. 따라서 전동기의 가변속 제어 성능을 위해 가속 시에는 개선된 Anti-Windup PI 제어기만을 사용하고 감소 시에는 추가로 부하의 특성을 고려하여 braking 동작을 사용하였다. 시뮬레이션 및 실험 결과는 속도 성능면에서 제안된 방식이 종래의 다른 제어 방식에 비해 우수함을 보여 준다.

  • 산업이 발전되어감에 따라 일반 가정에서 산업의 각 분야에 이르기까지 각종 전동기의 사용이 증가하고 있으며, 그 종류도 날로 다양해지고 있다. 이러한 이유로 산업전반에 널리 보급된 인터넷을 이용하여, 가변속 구동 시스템에 대해 원격조작하고, 일괄 관리하거나 실시간으로 관리기기의 상태를 파악하고, 데이터를 수집, 처리하는 것이 요구된다. 또한 인터넷을 통해 기기를 직접 제어, 관리함으로써 시간과 공간, 비용절감의 측면에서 큰 효과를 기대 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 인터넷 웹 기반의 PMSM 원격제어시스템 개발을 연구하였다. 인터넷을 이용한 원격제어를 위해 DSP 제어기 및 TCP/IP를 사용한 클라이언트/서버 시스템과 PMSM의 상태와 Data를 확인할 수 있는 웹 인터페이스를 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 웹 기반의 관리 프로그램을 통해 실시간으로 PMSM의 기동, 정지 및 가변속에 대한 제어와 모니터링이 가능하다.

  • This paper presents an adaptive control strategy for the speed control of a four-phase switched reluctance motor (SRM) in automotive applications. The main objective is to minimize the torque ripples, despite the unstructured uncertainties, time-varying parameters and external load disturbances. The bound of perturbations is not required to be known in the developing of the proposed adaptive-based control method. In order to achieve a smooth control effort, some properties are incorporated and the proposed control algorithm is constructed using the Lyapunov theorem where the closed-loop stability and robust tracking are ensured. The effectiveness of the proposed controller in rejecting high perturbed load torque with smooth control effort is verified with comparing of an adaptive sliding mode control (ASMC) and validated with experimental results.

  • Much attention has given to EMI effects created by variable speed ac drive system. This paper focuses on the switching technique to mitigate common mode voltage. Zero switching states of inverter control invoke large common mode voltage. Using inversed carrier wave, zero switching states are removed. In addition, proposed technique is easy to apply to existing 2-level inverter design. And common mode mitigation technique for sinusoidal PWM is also presented. Proposed switching technique is implemented with a 2.2kw 1735rpm induction motor.

  • Conventional variable-speed Induction motor drives with inverters are subject to detrimental effect of zero-sequence voltages, such a shaft voltage and bearing current. This paper presents a way of the suppression of the zero-sequence components in multilevel H-bridge inverters. First examined Is the inherent zero-sequence characteristic of the conventional subharmonic PW method. Then it is shown that the zero-sequence voltage can be eliminated with proper -selection of switching states with space vector modulation. Although this method alone restricts the linear modulation range of control, a combination of the proposed method and the minimum switching method appears to be effective in suppressing the zero-sequence voltage to minimum level while maintaining the linear control range.

  • Minimum Efficiency Performance Standard (MEPS) has already been operated in many countries. In particular, the European Union (EU) has entered the IE3 stage since 2017. Korea will also enter the IE3 phase from October 2018. As for Korea, there is still a restriction on induction motors only. But, in the EU and the United States, efficiency regulation of variable speed drives is being deeply examined. Standards related to this are gradually being fixed. In this paper, the current status and the direction of global standards related to the efficiency of motors, inverters and systems are reviewed. And the case of improving the efficiency of the system including the motor will be examined.
