2.5 kW 급 프로펠러형 마이크로 수차 개발 (Development of 2.5 kW Class Propeller Type Micro Hydraulic Turbine)

  • In this work, a preliminary design of an inlet guide vane and runner for developing a 2.5 kW hydraulic turbine was conducted by using computational fluid dynamic analysis. Three-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations with shear stress transport turbulence model were used to analyze the fluid flow in the hydraulic turbine. The hexahedral grid system was used to construct computational domain, and the grid dependency test was performed to obtain the optimal grid system. Velocity triangle diagram considering the flow angles of the inlet guide vane and runner was analyzed to obtain a basic geometry of the inlet guide vane and runner. Through modification of the preliminary design, the hydraulic performances of the turbine have improved under overall drop conditions. Especially, the efficiency and power of the turbine increased by 0.95% and 1.45%, respectively, compared to those of the reference model.

CPTu로부터 구한 시화지구 해성점토의 비배수 전단강도 (Undrained Shear Strength of Marine Clays of Shihwa Region Obtained from CPTu)

  • Estimation of undrained shear strength $(S_u)$ of clayey soils from piezocone penetration test (CPTu), which has widely been known as one of very promising in situ test methods, requires piezocone factors. Empirical correlations are generally utilized to derive piezocone factors, but previous studies on the empirical piezocone factors are site-specific and in some cases need engineering characteristics, which should be obtained from additional laboratory tests. In this study, empirical cone factors were evaluated by comparing 6 CPTu results at Shihwa region in Korea with reference $S_u$ values obtained from field vane test (FVT). From previous CPTu results of other regions in Korea as well as the results herein, the correlations between piezocone factor, $N_{kT}$ and CPTu results were investigated and three simplified evaluation methods of $S_u$ using only CPTu results were presented. The $S_u$ values estimated by $(q_T-{\sigma}_v)/{\sigma}'_v$ method shows better matches with those obtained from laboratory tests for marine clays at Shihwa region.

저투수성 지반의 전단강도 증가를 위한 동전기 주입 기법의 적용성 (Application of Electrokinetic Injection Method for Increasing Shear Strength of Low Permeable Soil)

  • 본 연구에서는 점토질 지반의 강도를 증진시키기 위해, 일련의 동전기 현상을 이용한 주입 실험을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 실내 Bench scale 실험을 실시하여 적용성을 파악하였다. 또한 확산의 영향에 의한 지반개량효과를 파악하기 위해 실험 종료 후 5일 간격으로 25일 동안 데인 실험을 실시하여 강도증진효과를 파악하였으며, 처리기간에 따른 영향을 고려하기 위해 5일 간격(5, 10, 15, 20, 25)으로 처리기간을 설정한 후 동전기 주입 실험을 실시하였다. 주입제 종류에 따른 실험결과, 초기 강도치와 비교하여 약 $2\sim7$배 정도의 강도증진효과가 발생하였으며, 특히 양극에 규산나트륨을 주입하고 음극에 인산을 주입한 경우 약 7배 정도의 강도증진효과가 발생하였다. 또한 확산과 함수비 감소에 따른 강도값을 분석해본 결과 시간경과에 따라 강도 값이 일정한 값으로 수렴하는 양상을 띠었으며, 함수비 감소에 의한 강도 증가치 보다 동전기 주입과 확산에 의한 영향으로 발생되는 강도증가치가 약 $700\sim1000%$ 높게 나타났다. 처리기간에 따른 실험결과, 처리기간이 증가함에 따라 동전기 주입에 의한 강도증진효과가 크게 나타났으며, 함수비 감소에 의한 강도증가치보다 대략 $3\sim4$배 정도 높게 나타남을 파악할 수 있었다.

Effect of PBD to improve soft marine sedimentary ground

  • The effect of plastic board drains (PBDs)on ground improvement was checked out considering three crucial factors: ground settlement, undrained shear strength, and residual water head. First, the settlement analysis including initial settlement induced by reclamation of sand mat was conducted by back calculation analysis with measured data. Its result showed toot the PBDs used for this site worked well on improving soft ground. Secondly, the undrained shear strength was investigated by laboratory and in-situ tests including unconsolidated-undrained triaxial compression (UU) tests, unconfined compression tests, in-situ vane tests, and cone penetration tests. From the test results, they showed that the undrained shear strength of the improved ground by PBDs was significantly increased as well as the strength increasing ratio especially $10{\sim}15m$ below the ground surface on site. Thirdly, the residual water head measurement from the in situ dissipation test was found the same as the static water head, which indicated primary consolidation was completed and the effect of soil improvement with PBDs can be confirmed.

  • The purpose of this study is the understanding to changes in the characteristic of soil structure and classification, atterberg limits, undrained shear strength and consolidation of clayey soil dependent on pH of soil pore water. A series of tests including consistency tests, uniaxial compressive tests, vane tests and oedometer tests are performed on. The test results indicated that pH changes in the soil pH resulted in changes in the soil structure and classification, stress-strain behavior. Specially, when pH is conditioned to 7, liquid limit, undrained shear strength and preconsolidation pressure are the largest.

  • In order to investigate change of shear strength of coastal muddy sediment by mixing pretreated oyster shells with different pyrolysis temperatures and particle sizes, a vane shear test was carried out. The shear strength of the sediment with oyster shells pyrolyzed at 800℃ was twice higher than that of the control, with a maximum shear strength of ca. 0.2 kPa. The Ca2+ concentration in the pore water was the highest at sediment with oyster shells pyrolyzed at 800℃ with a concentration of ca. 790 mg/L. From the above results, it is concluded that the application of the oyster shells pyrolyzed at 800℃ can affect the increase in shear strength of coastal sediments through the aggregation of clay particles and pozzolanic reactions with sediments.

동전기 주입에 의한 점성토의 강도증가 특성 (Characteristic of Strength Increase in Clayey Soil by Electrokinetic Injection)

  • In this study a series of tests(bench scale test) are carried out for increasing in strength of clayey soil by EK-Injection method. In addition, the effects of strength increase in the treated sample are measured by operating the vane shear test device during 25 days at 5 days intervals in order to estimate the effect of ground improvement caused by diffusion. The test results show that the strength increase was developed approximately double to 7 times in comparison to initial shear strength, and outstanding strength increase was created as much as 7 times while injecting the sodium silicate and phosphoric acid in anolyte and catholyte. In addition, the measured shear strength with the influence of diffusion and reduction of water-content had a tendency to converge in constant value in proportion to elapsed time. As a result of this study, strength increment developed by the influence of EK-Injection and diffusion rather than the reduction of water-content were high as 1000% on average

  • This paper reports the application of field tests to weak ground. In this study, field and laboratory tests were performed in the west seashore of KOREA(Ildo, Sore, Kunsan, Youngam). Applied tests are standard penetration test, cone penetration test, dilatometer test, field vane test, unconsolidated undrained test, oedometer test and other fundametal material properties tests. The results of in-situ test are used to estimate soil types and undrained shear strengths of five clay local deposits. SPT results showed low reliability and FVT war also demonstrated the best field test to weak clayey deposits.

  • 국외에서 개발한 상관식이나 도표 등을 활용하여 국내 지반특성을 반영함에 있어 이를 그대로 국내지반에 적용하는 데에는 한계가 있다. 따라서 국내에 적합한 피에조콘계수 활용을 위해서는 국내 지반에 대한 시험결과를 직접적으로 이용하여 피에조콘계수를 결정할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 서해안 시화호 주변에 광범위하게 분포하고 있는 연약지반을 대상으로 실내시험 및 현장시험을 수행한 결과를 피에조콘 관입시험과 비교 분석하고, 비배수전단강도와 콘 관입저항력과의 상관성 분석을 통하여 피에조콘계수를 산정하였다. 또한 산정된 결과의 신뢰성 확보를 위하여 통계분석 기법을 활용하여 연구대상 지역에 적합한 피에조콘계수를 재산정해 보았다.

  • 본 연구에서는 건조 고결층이 형성된 준설 매립 지반의 지반 개량 및 보강을 위한 시공 초기 단계에서 지반의 안정성과 장비의 주행성 평가 시 고려되는 지지력 산정과 관련하여 다양한 실내 및 현장 시험을 수행하였다. 지반조사를 통해 기본물성 특성을 파악하였고 현장 베인 시험 및 일축압축 직접전단시험을 통하여 지반의 깊이별 강도분포와 고결층의 강도 특성 및 응력-변형률 거동을 살펴보았다. 또한 지반의 지지력 평가와 하중-침하 곡선 및 파괴형태를 파악하기 위하여 평판재하시험을 수행하였다. 기존의 2층 지반 지지력 산정 기법을 이용하여 지지력을 산정하였으며 이를 평판재하시험 결과와 비교하여 지지력 산정 기법의 적용 방법에 대하여 논의해 보았다.
