  • In this paper, the mathematical model of the hydraulic control valve is formulated, that is, this dynamic modeling which includes the motion equations and continuity equations can analyze the dynamic characteristics of the hydraulic control valve. The control valve for the transmission has the Over Speed Protection to protect a hydraulic travel motor. Therefore, this simulation shows the over speed protection and researches the main design parameters. The results of the computer simulation were assured through the experiment. From the comparison between both results, it is shown that this simulation program is useful and effective.

  • In this Paper, a mathematical model describing the dynamics of pilot operated pressure control valve was derived. A attempt to analyze the Parameters(seat diameter, cone angle, spring stiffness, control volume) which relate to the performance of the object valve was carried out. Simulation using AMESim as a simulation tool was operated, and verified the validity of our simulation by means of comparison our simulation results with an experimental results of the pilot operated pressure control valve.

  • In this study, a new type of flow control valve which is SMA actuated flow control valve is presented. The flow control valve is actuated by a small motion of shape memory alloy. The performance of this valve as a position control component is analyzed by computer simulation. A variable structure control technique is applied for the position control by the flow control valve. The position control performance of the valve is evaluated on the step responses of a PID control by a electrohydraulic servo valve. For the simulation study, first, the mathematical model of a hydraulic system, which is consisted of the flow control valve and a hydraulic cylinder, is formulated. This mathematical model and the designed variable structure control algorithm are then combined by the MATLAB software. The same sequence of work is carried out for the PID position control system with a electrohydraulic servo valve. The simulation results show the validity of the new type of flow control valve as a variable position control component.

  • Numerical analysis of the three dimensional turbulent flow field in a complex valve trim is carried out to confirm the possibility whether this simulation tool can be used as a design tool or not. The simulation of the incompressible flow in a glove valve is performed by using the commercial code. CFD-ACEA utilizes the finite volume approach as a discretization scheme, and the pressure-velocity coupling is made from SIMPLEC algorithm in it. Four flow cases of the control valve are investigated, and the valve flow coefficient for each case is compared with the experimental data. Simulation results show a good agreement with the experiments, and it is observed that the cavitation model improves the simulation results.

  • 본 논문은 주요 부위에 대한 정적음력 시뮬레이션을 통해 PFA 라이닝 플러그밸브 본체의 설계자를 지원하는 것을 주된 목표로 한다. CAD 작업을 통해 생성된 형상 모델을 스텝(step)파일로 변환하여 해석작업에 사용한다. 전문적인 해석경험이 없는 밸브 생산업체의 설계자가 형상 모델에 대한 인장, 굽힘, 비틀림 모멘트 등을 계산하는 과정을 이해함으로써 구조적 취약점을 사전에 파악하고, 제품에 반영하여 제품 신뢰도 및 설계효율 증대에 기여할 수 있는 기본적인 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.

  • A numerical modeling technique is proposed for computer simulations of high speed valve train dynamic terms in the valve spring reaction forces are calculated using linear vibration theory for given kinematic valve motions. Because the spring dynamics are analyzed before the time stepping integration, spring surge phenomena can be included without using additional computer time. In addition to that, steady state response of the valve dynamics can be obtained by just one cycle simulation. Consequently, valve train dynamics can be simulated very quickly without noticeable errors in accuracy. The experimental result prove the computer model developed here is accurate and also computationally efficient. The model is especially useful for cam profile optimizations.

Modelling of Optimum Design of High Vacuum System for Plasma Process

  • Electronic devices used in the mobile environments fabricated under the plasma conditions in high vacuum system. Especially for the development of advanced electronic devices, high quality plasma as the process conditions are required. For this purpose, the variable conductance throttle valves for controllable plasma employed to the high vacuum system. In this study, we analyzed the effects of throttle valve applications on vacuum characteristics simulated to obtain the optimum design modelling for plasma conditions of high vacuum system. We used commercial simulator of vacuum system, VacSim(multi) on this study. Reliability of simulator verified by simulation of the commercially available models of high vacuum system. Simulated vacuum characteristics of the proposed modelling agreed with the observed experimental behaviour of real systems. Pressure limit valve and normally on-off control valve schematized as the modelling of throttle valve for the constant process-pressure of below 10-3 torr. Simulation results plotted as pump down curve of chamber, variable valve conductance and conductance logic of throttle valve. Simulated behaviors showed the applications of throttle valve sustained the process-pressure constantly, stably, and reliably in plasma process.

  • In this paper, a numerical simulation of steady laminar and turbulent flow in a two dimensional model for the total artificial heart is presented. A trileaflet polyurethane valve was simulated at the outflow orifice while the inflow orifice had a trileaflet or a flap valve. The numerical solutions of the simulated model show that regions of relative stasis and trapped vortices were smaller wi thin the ventricular chamber wi th the flap valve at the inflow orifice than that with the trileaflet valve. The predicted Reynolds stresses distal to the inflow valve within the ventricular chamber were also found to be smaller with the flap valve than with the trileaflet valve. Analysis of the numerical solutions suggests that geometries similar to the flap valve(or a tilting disc valve) results in a better flow dynamics within the total artificial heart chamber compared to a trileaflet valve.

Simulations of Effects of Variable Conductance Throttle Valve on the Characteristics of High Vacuum System

  • Thin film electronic devices which brought the current mobile environment could be fabricated only under the high quality vacuum conditions provided by high vacuum systems. Especially for the development of advanced thin film devices, constant high quality vacuum as the deposition pressure is definitely needed. For this purpose, the variable conductance throttle valves were employed to the high vacuum system. In this study, the effects of throttle valve applications on vacuum characteristics were simulated to obtain the optimum design modelling of variable conductance of high vacuum system. Commercial simulator of vacuum system, $VacSim^{(multi)}$, was used on this investigation. Reliability of employed simulator was verified by the simulation of the commercially available models of high vacuum system.
